How many messages can be recorded in each folder?
A maximum of 99 messages can be recorded in each of the four folders (A, B, C, and D).
What happens when the batteries are exhausted?
When the batteries are exhausted, the unit will stop operating and the display will flash "batt".
How do I set the date and time?
Press DISPLAY/MENU for more than 1 second until "MODE" appears in the display window. Press - or >+ to display "SET DATE". Press NxPLAY/STOP. The year digits will flash. Set the year, month, day, hour, and minute in sequence, pressing NxPLAY/STOP after each setting.
How do I select the recording mode?
Press DISPLAY/MENU for more than 1 second until "MODE" appears in the display window. Press - or >+ to display "SET REC MODE". Press NxPLAY/STOP. Select the desired recording mode (HQ, SP, or LP) using the - or >+ buttons. Press NxPLAY/STOP to confirm your selection.
How do I pause recording?
During recording, press zXREC/PAUSE. The OPR indicator will flash in red and "PAUSE" will flash in the display window.
How do I resume recording after pausing?
Press zXREC/PAUSE again. Recording will resume from the point where it was paused.
How do I listen to the current recording?
Press NxPLAY/STOP to stop recording, then press NxPLAY/STOP again.
How do I review the current recording instantly?
Press NxPLAY/STOP during recording.
How do I search backward during recording?
Hold down - during recording or recording pause. Recording mode will be released, and reviewing of the current recording starts. If you release the button, playback starts from that point.
