HOW TO USE

This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It may be plugged into any AC electrical outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other type of outlet.

TO USE

ATTACHING BEATERS: Be sure appliance is unplugged. Attach one beater at a time. Align notches on the beater with the slots on the bottom of the mixer. Push until beater clicks to lock into place.

When both beaters are attached, make sure they fit snugly into the receptacles. Gently tug on each beater to ensure it is secured properly.

Insert plug into any standard household outlet. Place beaters directly into container holding ingredients to be mixed. Slide the speed control lever to Low (1) position to start blending, then increase to Med/Low (2), Medium (3), Med/High (4) and High (5) as needed.

CAUTION: When mixing thick batters, do not use on speeds

1 or 2, as this puts stress on the unit and it may overheat. Use only on speeds 3, 4, or 5. To avoid overheating, do not operate longer than 5 minutes.

SPEED

1 (LOW)

USE

Slowest speed, best for mixing dry ingredients and folding in liquid ingredients, egg whites and whipped cream.

2 (MED/LOW) Ideal for creaming, stirring, making sauces, gravies, puddings and quick breads.

3 (MEDIUM) Best speed for all-purpose mixing.

4 (MED/HIGH) Beats and creams butter and sugar for cake mixes and frostings.

Great for thicker batters.

5 (HIGH) Highest speed, best for whipping cream, beating egg whites or mashing potatoes.

REMOVING BEATERS: Slide speed control lever to the “OFF” position.

Unplug appliance. Push down on the eject button to eject beaters.

CARE AND CLEANING

This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Refer it to qualified personnel if servicing is needed.

TO CLEAN: NEVER IMMERSE MOTOR HOUSING IN WATER. First, be sure unit is unplugged. Eject beaters from unit and wash normally.

The beaters are dishwasher safe. Wipe motor housing with a damp cloth or sponge.

TO STORE: Unplug unit; store in its box in a clean, dry place. Never store it while it is hot or still plugged in. Never wrap cord tightly

around the appliance. Do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.

PARA USAR

COMO ADAPTAR LOS BATIDORES: Asegúrese que el artefacto esté desenchufado. Coloque un batidor a la vez. VELOCIDAD

1 (BAJA)

USO

Velocidad más baja, ideal para mezclar ingredientes secos y mezclar ingredientes líquidos, claras de huevo y crema batida.

2 (MEDIANA/BAJA) Ideal para suavizar, mover, hacer salsas, pudines y panes ligeros.

3 (MEDIANA) La mejor velocidad para toda clase de mezclas.

4 (MEDIANA/ALTA) Bate y hace cremosa la mantequilla y azúcar para mezclas de bizcochos y baños. Ideal para masas más espesas.

5 (ALTA) Velocidad más alta, ideal para cremas batidas batir claras de huevo y para hacer puré de papas.

RETIRANDO LOS BATIDORES: Deslice la palanca del control de velocidad a la posición APAGADA “OFF”. Desenchufe la unidad.

Empuje el botón de eyección para soltar los batidores.

CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA

Este artefacto requiere un pequeño mantenimiento y no tiene piezas que puedan ser reparadas por el usuario. No trate de repararlo usted mismo. Si necesita reparación remítalo a personas calificadas.

PARA LIMPIAR: NUNCA SUMERJA EL MOTOR EN EL AGUA.

Primero asegúrese que la unidad esté desenchufada. Expulse los batidores de la unidad y lávelos normalmente. Los batidores pueden ser lavados sin problemas en la lavadora de platos. Limpie el motor con un trapo húmedo o esponja.

PARA GUARDAR: Desenchufe la unidad; guárdela en su misma caja en un lugar limpio y seco. Nunca la guarde mientras está caliente o enchufada. Nunca envuelva el cordón ajustado

alrededor de la unidad. No ponga presión al cordón donde éste entra a la unidad, ya que esto podría causar el desgaste del cordón y su posible rotura.

Cuando esté usando aparatos eléctricos, especialmente en presencia de niños, debe seguir siempre medidas básicas de seguridad, incluyendo las siguientes:

ENCHUFE POLARIZADO

Este artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una hoja es más ancha que la otra). Como medida de seguridad, este enchufe solo debe usarse en un tomacorriente polarizado en un sólo sentido. Si no entrara en el tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe y trate nuevamente. Si aún así no entrara, busque la ayuda de un electricista calificado. No intente anular este sistema de seguridad.

SUGERENCIAS PARA SEGURIDAD CON EL CORDON

1. Nunca hale o tire del cordón o del artefacto.

2. Para introducir el enchufe, sujételo firmemente y guíelo hacia el tomacorriente.

3. Para desconectar el artefacto, sujete el enchufe y retírelo del tomacorriente.

4. Antes de cada uso, inspeccione el cordón si tiene cortes y/o raspaduras. Si algo fuera encontrado, esto indica que el artefacto deberá ser revisado y el cordón deberá ser reemplazado. Por favor, devuélvalo a nuestro Departamento de Servicio o a un representante de servicio autorizado.

5. Nunca enrolle el cordón ajustadamente alrededor del artefacto, ya que esto podría causar una presión excesiva en el cordón donde

POLARIZED PLUG

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS

1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.

2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.

3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.

4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord replaced. Please return it to our

Service Department or to an authorized service representative.

5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.
