B. Added PTZ Speed controller to left navigation
Added the ability to control Pan and Tilt speed or sensitivity right from the left navigation PTZ
Controls section.
Notice the red rectangle in the image above, the higher the gauge the further a one click pan will
move; the lower the gauge the shorter a one click pan will move. A PTZ capable camera must
first be selected and zoomed in for proper operation.

C. PTZ Controls Auto Selecting Camera
Going forward when a PTZ capable camera is selected from the main dashboard, the PTZ
Controls pop-up will auto select the camera and server to match the one selected in the main
dashboard; saving you time so you may begin PTZ controls immediately.
D. Disabling a PTZ Will Also Disable Mouse Wheel Operation
Previously when an administrator disabled PTZ controls for a camera using a mouse wheel
bypassed that logic, going forward when a camera’s PTZ controls are disabled so will the mouse
wheel. To disable a PTZ for a camera follow these steps:
1. Access Camera Properties: right click the camera and choose Properties.

When PTZ is NOT disabled the cursor will appear in live view as an arrow, once disabled the
cursor will change to a magnifying glass.
E. User Manager Multi Tab Usability Improvement
Accessing the User Manager module in a multi server environment in the past meant you had to
select the right server from each tab independently to ensure changes made affected the right server.
Going forward selecting the intended server in the first tab (User Manager) will also select that same
server in subsequent tabs in that module: Group Manager and PTZ Prioritization.

...Taking snapshots of both Live and Recorded video is a snap…
You may take a picture or a snapshot of any frame in a video and choose to disseminate it in a
number of ways.
Live Video
To take a snapshot of a live video, right click the image:
 Print Image: will send the image currently displayed to your default printer
 Save Image: will save the image to your desktop as a JPEG which can then be printed.
 Send: will send an image to any other logged in user which will appear immediately in their
Monitor Station as a Live Window.

Recorded Video
To take a snapshot of a recorded video, repeat the following steps:
1. In Monitor Station’s left navigation expand the camera folders to select the desired video.
2. Once selected, the recorded video will begin playing, when the desired image is visible click the
Object Zoom icon on the top right corner, you may click it as many times as needed to capture the
right shot.
3. Each click will produce a pop-up titled Object Zoom that will allow for printing, zooming in and
out as well as saving to a location for later retrieval. Here is a sample:
**NOTE** Please note regardless of the option selected the size of the image will always be the
resolution size the camera is configured for.
