NOTE

The C-Box is a component of the following systems:

− MP2 / MP3 / MP3-S / MP3-M / MP3-XS and similar moving mechanisms

− MULTIDOS

− VIVODOS

− DIODE MATE

Follow the Safety instructions and General Information given in the manuals to the mentioned systems.

WARNING

Installing the C-Box requires technical knowhow and may only be performed by trained technical staff.

The relevant regulations concerning electric safety must especially be observed.

PTW C-Box

General

2 General

The PTW - C-Box is a universal wall box for the connecting of PTW-Instruments and for various applications.

One C-Box has to be installed in the treatment room and one in the control room. This allows to handle the cables of different measuring systems in a simple and time-saving way.

The advantage of the C-Box is, that you can install only one application at first and integrate other applications later without difficulty.

Following instruments and systems can be connected with the C-Box if it is equipped completely:

− MP2- or MP3-system (as well MP3-S, MP3-M,

MP3-XS) inclusive field detector and reference detector or a similar moving mechanism

− MULTIDOS for LA48 application

(LA = Linear Array)

− MULTIDOS for QC6Plus application

(QC = Quality Control)

− MULTIDOS or VIVODOS for TBI application

(TBI = Total Body Irradiation)

− MULTIDOS or VIVODOS for AL application

(AL = Afterloading)

− MULTIDOS or VIVODOS with DIODE MATE

− MULTIDOS with M-Chamber-Box (Connection box for up to 12 detectors with M-Connector)

− MULTIDOS with B-Chamber-Box (Connection box for up to 12 detectors with BNC-Connector and Banana plug)

NOTE

The C-Box should be installed in connection with a cable channel that the cables are routed through the cable channel from below into the

C-Box. The strain-relief will be guaranteed after fixation of the lower cover.

In the case the cables are pulled through the wall directly from behind necessary wholes have to be drilled. In that case the strain relief is under your own responsibility.

For all applications you have first to unscrew the front panel of the C-Box and the lower cover. Afterwards the C-Box can be fixed to the wall using the enclosed mounting kit (4 screws/4 dowels).

After the connection of the cables you should sign them with the enclosed cable markers adequate to the respective drawings.
