Rauchwarnmelder dürfen nicht mit Farbe überstrichen werden.

Der Rauchwarnmelder darf an folgenden Orten nicht angebracht werden: a. Räume, in denen unter normalen Bedingungen starker Wasserdampf entsteht

(z. B. Küche, Bad/WC) b. In der Nähe von Feuerstätten und offenen Kaminen c. Räume mit Temperaturen geringer als -10°C oder höher als +60°C d. In der Nähe von Belüftungsschächten (z. B. von Klima- oder Umluftanlage) e. In Spitzecken (z. B. Dachgiebel) f. Halten Sie einen Abstand von mind. 50 cm zwischen Lampe und Montageort ein g. Die Rauchwarnmelder HDv 300x OS sind nur für den Innenbereich zugelassen

5. Der durchgestrichene Abfallcontainer weist darauf hin, dass das Produkt nicht zusammen mit dem Haus- oder Geschäftsmüll entsorgt werden darf. Trennen Sie es von dem Müll, damit wertvolle Ressourcen wieder recycelt werden können.

Batterieversorgter, funkvernetzbarer Rauchwarnmelder warnt zuverlässig vor Bränden durch die optische Detektion nach dem Streulichtprinzip, zertifiziert nach EN 14604:2005 durch den VdS.

• Frühe und sichere Branderkennung durch automatische Auswertesensorik

• Hohe Betriebssicherheit durch aufwendigen, automatischen Selbsttest der gesamten

② Montage und Inbetriebnahme

1. Bestimmen Sie den Montageort an der Decke des Raumes: a. Montage möglichst in Raummitte, Mindestabstand von 50 cm zu Wänden b. Mindestabstand von 50 cm zu Lampen

Bei Verwendung der Klebepolster: Überprüfen Sie die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit der

Decke auf dauerhafte Trag- und Klebefähigkeit.

2. Überprüfen Sie, dass am Montageort keine Stromleitung verläuft. Halten Sie einen Mindestabstand von 50 cm zu stromführenden Leitungen ein.

3. Stellen Sie sicher, dass durch den Bohrstaub der Rauchwarnmelder nicht verschmutzt werden kann.

4. Bohren Sie mit einem 6er Bohrer entsprechende Löcher mit einem Lochabstand von 67 mm bei zwei Schrauben Montage (verwenden Sie das Unterteil des Rauchwarnmelders als Schablone).

5. Stecken Sie die mitgelieferten Dübel in die Bohrlöcher.

6. Befestigen Sie das Unterteil des Rauchwarnmelders mit der/n mitgelieferten

Schraube/n an der Decke.

7. Schließen Sie die Batterie an (Polung beachten!) und legen Sie sie in das vorgesehene Batteriefach.

8. Setzen Sie das Oberteil auf das Unterteil und arretieren Sie es durch Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn.

9. Prüfen Sie, ob die LED blinkt.

10. Führen Sie einen Funktionstest durch. Drücken Sie hierzu mindestens

1 Sekunde den Lichtleiterstab.

Ist der Funktionstest erfolgreich, ertönt ein Signalton. Der Rauchwarnmelder arbeitet korrekt. Ertönt kein Signalton, ist das Gerät nicht funktionsfähig. Tauschen Sie in diesem Fall die Batterie aus und führen Sie den Funktionstest erneut durch. Ertönt wieder kein Signalton ist das Gerät defekt und muss ausgetauscht werden.

④ Montageorte

Der Rauchwarnmelder wird an der Raumdecke montiert. Bei Montage in der Raummitte besitzt der Rauchwarnmelder seine optimale Erkennungscharakteristik.

Ausstattung mit Einschränkung

Als Mindestschutz sind Rauchwarnmelder in den Schlafräumen und Fluren bzw. Gängen zu installieren, damit Sie nachts bei einem Rauchalarm geweckt werden. In Gebäuden mit mehreren

Etagen sollte zudem in jeder Etage mindestens ein Rauchwarnmelder im Flur angeordnet sein. Weitere Einbaurichtlinien entnehmen Sie bitte der DIN 14676.

⑤ Klebepolster -VdS anerkannt

-

Der Meldersockel kann wahlweise mit einer oder zwei der mitgelieferten Schraube(n) und

Dübel oder mit dem doppelseitigen Klebepolster (Best.-Nr. 32587) an der Decke befestigt werden. Bei der Montage des Melders ist die Beschaffenheit des jeweiligen Untergrundes zu beachten, um einen sicheren Halt des Melders zu gewährleisten. Eine optimale

Klebekraft wird nur auf sauberen Untergründen erzielt. Vor Nutzung des Klebepolsters ist die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit der Decke sorgfältig auf dauerhafte Trag- und Klebefähigkeit (ggf. Probeklebung vornehmen) zu prüfen. Ziehen Sie die Schutzfolie von einer Seite des Klebepolsters ab und kleben Sie das Polster fest, mittig auf den Sockel des Melders.

Als nächstes entfernen Sie die Schutzfolie der anderen Seite, befestigen den Sockel durch festes andrücken an der Decke und fahren Sie bei Punkt 2.7 fort.

⑥ Funktionstest

1. Führen Sie eine Sichtprüfung des Rauchwarnmelders durch.

Überprüfen dabei:

• das Vorhandensein des Geräts

• die Raucheintrittsöffnungen auf grobe Verschmutzung (Staub, Farbe)

• den Rauchwarnmelder auf mechanische Beschädigungen

Bei Beschädigungen ist der Rauchwarnmelder umgehend auszutauschen.

2. Führen Sie einen Funktionstest durch. Drücken Sie hierzu mindestens 1 Sekunde den Lichtleiterstab. Ist dieser Funktionstest erfolgreich, ertönt der Signalton.

Der Rauchwarnmelder arbeitet korrekt.

3. Nach DIN 14604 sind Rauchwarnmelder nach spätestens 10 Jahren gegen neue auszutauschen.

⑦ Alarmstummschaltung

Im Alarmfall kann die Alarmstummschaltung durch Drücken des Lichtleiterstabes (1) aktiviert werden. Der Rauchwarnmelder verstummt. Nach ca. 10 Minuten kehrt der

Rauchwarnmelder in den Normalbetrieb zurück.

⑧ Alarm Memory

Wenn der Rauchwarnmelder alle 43 Sekunden 3 mal kurz aufblinkt dann hat dieser in den letzten 24 Std. einen Rauchalarm abgegeben. Um die Alarm Memory zurück zu setzen muss die „Alarm-Stumm-Test-Taste“ (LED Testknopf 6.2) gedrückt werden.

⑨ Batterie Wechsel

1. Nehmen Sie den Rauchwarnmelder durch Drehen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn aus dem Sockel.

2. Schließen Sie am Rauchwarnmelder die neue Batterie an (Polung beachten!) und legen Sie diese in das vorgesehene Batteriefach.

3. Setzen Sie das Oberteil mit der neuen Batterie auf den Sockel und arretieren Sie ihn durch Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn.

4. Prüfen Sie, ob die LED blinkt.

5. Führen Sie einen Funktionstest durch. Drücken Sie hierzu mindestens 1 Sekunde

6. den Lichtleiterstab.

Ist der Funktionstest erfolgreich, ertönt ein Signalton. Der Rauchwarnmelder arbeitet korrekt. Ertönt kein Signalton, ist das Gerät nicht funktionstüchtig.

Tauschen Sie in diesem Fall die Batterie aus und führen Sie den Funktionstest erneut durch. Ertönt wieder kein Signalton, so ist der Rauchwarnmelder defekt und muss durch einen neuen ersetzt werden.

⑬ Wartung und Pflege

In einigen Bundesländern sind gemäß LBO die Haus- und Wohnungseigentümer

(siehe www.rauchmelder-lebensretter.de) für die Installation und Funktionsfähigkeit von

Rauchwarnmeldern verantwortlich. Eine Wartung ist mindestens einmal jährlich durchzuführen und umfasst nach DIN 14676 eine Sichtprüfung, eine Funktionsprüfung sowie ggf. einen Batteriewechsel. Nach längerer Abwesenheit jedoch spätestens nach 1 Jahr ist ein Funktionstest (siehe Punkt 6) durchzuführen!

① Safety advice – Please consider:

1. Do not use any rechargeable batteries or mains adapter for powering.

2. A loud and shrill test tone will sound during the function test. Keep a safety distance of 50 cm between your ear and the smoke alarm device.

3. Smoke alarm devices may not be painted.

4. The smoke alarm device may not be placed at the following locations: a. Steamy, damp areas like bathroom or kitchens b. near fire places c. in areas with temperatures lower then –10°C or higher then 60°C d. near air-conditioner or air circulation units e. in tapered ceilings f. Keep at least 50 cm away from all light fittings g. the smoke alarm device HDv 300X OS is only approved for indoor use

5. The underlined waste container on the reverse side of the product is an advice not to dispose the detector in the domestic waste.

Attention:

Danger of explosion, during incorrect changing of the battery.

Only exchange to an equal accredited type of battery.

③ Product characteristics HDv 300X OS

Battery powered, radio curable smoke alarm device for detection and alarming in domestic and small system applications, certified by the VdS due to the EN 14604:2005:

• Reliable fire detection through precise adjustment of the release characteristics

• Outstanding operating safety by intelligent analysis of measuring chamber signal

• A visual and auditable low battery condition is signalled for 30 days

• The detector is equipped with a condition / contamination indicator regarding to UL guidelines.

• The acoustic alert is made by an integrated piezo alarm-sounder (min 85 dB)

• False alarm reduced due to the high performance measuring chamber and temperature variability (but no heat detector)

② Installation and commissioning:

1. Choose the installation location (room ceiling is recommended): a. Best location in the centre of the room, at least 50 cm space to the nearest wall. b. Minimum space to nearest lamp 50 cm.

If using the adhesive pad: Check the surface of the ceiling to make sure that the adhesive pad sticks tightly to it.

2. Keep a minimum distance of 50 cm from all conducting electrical cables.

Make sure that there are no electricity cables at location.

3. Make sure not to pollute the smoke alarm device when drilling the holes

(*if installing the smoke alarm device with an adhesive pad see chapter 13 "Optional Accessories").

4. Drill two 6 mm holes (with a gap of 67 mm if using two screws)

(You can use the smoke alarm device base as a hole template).

5. Place the included raw plugs into the drill holes.

6. Tighten the detector base with the included screws to the ceiling.

7. Connect the battery (watch the polarity) and place it into the intended bracket of the smoke alarm device.

8. Attach the smoke alarm device to the base and tighten it by turning the detector clock wise. (Only possible if a battery is installed).

9. Check if the detector LED flashes.

10. Check the functionality by pressing the test LED conductor pole for at min. one second.

A warning beep sounds if the detector is operational. If no beep sounds then the detector is not functional. In this case check the battery and replace it.

If still no beep sounds after pressing the test LED conductor pole again then the detector is defect and needs to be exchanged.

④ Place of installation

The smoke alarm device performs best when installed on the ceiling in the centre of t room. If this is not possible, ensure the detector is at least 50 cm from the wall.

To be sure that you are woken up by smoke alarm at night the smoke alarm device should be placed in the bedrooms/hallway as a minimum protection. In houses with several floors one smoke alarm device should be placed in each hall of the floor. Further installation guidelines can be found in the DIN 14676 standard.

Adhesive pad – VdS certified-

The detector base can be attached to the ceiling via one or two included screws and anchors or with the double sided adhesive pad (Order-no.: 32587). Check the condition of the corresponding surface before fitting the detector to assure a firm hold.

Check the surface condition of the ceiling before use of the double sided adhesive pad.

It must be suitable for durable bonding and bearing strength (test bonding if necessary).

Pull of the protection film on one side of the pad and stick the pad tightly to the centre of the detector base. Next remove the film of the other side, tighten the detector base firmly to the ceiling and continue as described in chapter 2 step 7.

⑥ Function test

1. Carry out a visual inspection. Check:

• if the device exists

• that the detector is not polluted by paint, any cover or dust for example

• if the smoke alarm device is in a correct condition (nothing broken off)

If there are any claims of the above, replace the smoke alarm device immediately.

2. Carry out a function test. Therefore press the LED conductor pole for about one second. A warning beep sounds if the detector is operational.

3. Regarding to the DIN 14604 rule, replace all smoke alarm devices after 10 years for new ones!

⑦ Alarm muting

The alarm muting can be activated by pressing the test LED conductor pole of the detector (1). The smoke alarm device will mute for approx. 10 minutes and then reset itself to the normal operation sensitivity level.

⑧ Alarm Memory

If the smoke alarm device has entered a local alarm then when it exits the local alarm, the alarm memory latch is set. This condition will remain for 24 hours. The LED will flash 3x every 43 seconds. Press the “Alarm-Mute-Test-Button” (LED conductor pole

6.2) to reset the alarm memory latch.

⑨ Battery change

1. Detach the smoke alarm device by turning the detector counter clockwise.

2. Connect the new battery to the smoke alarm device (watch the polarity) and place it into the intended bracket of the detector.

3. Place the detector back into the base and turn clockwise.

4. Check if the LED conductor pole flashes.

5. Carry out a function test. Press therefore the LED conductor pole for about one second.

6. A warning beep sounds if the smoke alarm device is operational. If no beep sounds then the device is not functional. In this case check the battery and replace it. If still no beep sounds after pressing the test LED conductor pole again then the smoke alarm device is defect and needs to be replaced.

⑬ Maintenance

The house- and apartment owner is responsible for the installation and maintenance of smoke alarm devices in a couple of states and provinces. A service must be done at least once a year. Due to DIN 14676 the service contains a optical inspection, a function test and if needed a battery change. A service must be done at least once a year and contains an optical inspection and a function test due to the DIN 14676 rule. A function test must be done after a longer absenteeism but latest within one year (see chapter 6).

A) Wireless linking of smoke alarm device via radio module

The smoke alarm device HDv 300X OS can be equipped with a wireless network module 868 MHz (Order No. 30933) for a wireless linking between each other.

With a wireless radio module 433 MHz (Order No. 32488) it is possible to transmit alarm

signals to a radio control panel (SRC 3000, Order No.: 32487). These radio modules are
