Federal retirees – your community still needs you.
In 2011, across Canada, federal retirees like you gave more than two and a half million dollars
through the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) to help people in
their communities.
The GCWCC provides a simple, efficient way to support United Way, Healthpartners and any
other registered Canadian charities that are close to your heart through one form, once a year,
even after you retire.
When you give through the GCWCC, your gift changes lives.
It provides real inspiration for people like Jim who, diagnosed at 58 with Alzheimer’s, decided
to face his disease head-on and help both himself and others like him. He now serves on the
National Board of Directors for the Alzheimer Society.
It provides a vital connection for people like Ceceline, who, alone at 81, no longer withdraws
from life. Instead, she relishes new experiences and eagerly anticipates and participates in
outings and social events at her local seniors’ centre.
There are thousands of others who need your help today. If you have not yet made your gift
please call 1-877-379-6070.
Thank you – Canada’s federal retirees – for your continued generosity and caring.
