GETTING STARTED
SENSOR SET UP
This product uses 1 AAA rechargeable battery which should be charged via the solar panel.
IMPORTANT Place ONLY NiMH type rechargeable batteries in the solar panel battery compartment. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
NOTE Install battery in the remote sensor before the main unit.
To set up the remote sensor:
1. Slide open the battery door.
2. Slide channel switch to select a channel (1, 2, 3). Ensure you use a different channel for each sensor.
3. Insert the battery, matching the polarities (+/-).
4. Press RESET after each battery change.
TIP To keep battery in best condition, it is strongly advised to charge it for at least 12 hours before first use.
5. Initiate a sensor search on the main unit to start receiving temperature (and humidity - THGN132ES only) data from the sensor.
IDEAL LOCATIONS FOR REMOTE SENSOR
The sensor’s solar panel does not require direct sunlight.
The ambient or reflective light of the sun will provide enough light to effectively charge the batteries.
Ideal placements for the sensor would be in any location on the exterior of the home at a height of not more than 1.5m
(5 ft) and which can shield it from direct sunlight or wet conditions for an accurate reading.

Each 4 hour charge in optimal conditions generates enough power to operate the unit for 1 week when weather conditions are not ideal.
CHANGING CHANNELS
To change channels once channel has been assigned:
1. Slide channel switch to desired channel.
2. Press RESET.
3. Initiate a sensor search on the main unit to start receiving temperature (and humidity – THGN132ES only) data from the sensor.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature or humidity.
• Do not cover the ventilation holes with any items such as newspapers, curtains etc.
• Do not immerse the unit in water. If you spill liquid over it, dry it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth.
• Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive materials.
• Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components. This invalidates the warranty.
• Only use fresh batteries. Do not mix new and old batteries.
• Images shown in this manual may differ from the actual display.
• When disposing of this product, ensure it is collected separately for special treatment and not as household waste.
• Placement of this product on certain types of wood may result in damage to its finish for which Oregon
Scientific will not be responsible. Consult the furniture manufacturer's care instructions for information.

To check if there is sufficient sunlight at selected location:
Press TEST located in the battery compartment.
Green LED (directly above TEST) will light up to indicate battery is being charged.
For best results:
• Place the sensor within 30 m (100 ft) of the main unit.
• Place the sensor out of direct sunlight and moisture.
• Position the sensor so that it faces the main (indoor) unit, minimizing obstructions such as doors, walls and furniture.
• Place the sensor in a location with a clear view to the sky, away from metallic / electronic objects.
• Position the sensor close to the main unit during cold winter months as below-freezing temperatures may affect battery performance and signal transmission.
TIP The transmission range may vary depending on many factors. You may need to experiment with various locations to get the best results.

Per verificare che nel punto scelto vi sia luce solare sufficiente per caricare le batterie:
Premere TEST nel vano batterie.
Il LED di colore verde indica che il pannello solare sta ricaricando la batteria.
Per risultati migliori:
• Posizionare il sensore a una distanza inferiore a 30m
(100 ft) dall’unità principale.
• Tenere il sensore lontano dalla luce diretta del sole e umidità.
• Posizionare il sensore di fronte all’unità principale, riducendo le interferenze quali porte, pareti e mobili.
• Posizionare il sensore in un luogo in cui sia possible vedere il cielo, lontano da oggetti metallici / elettronici.
• Posizionare il sensore più vicino all’unità principale durante i mesi invernali con temperature sotto lo zero che potrebbero ridurre le prestazioni della batteria e inficiare il segnale di trasmissione.
SUGGERIMENTO Il campo di trasmissione può variare in base a molti fattori. E possibile dover provare diverse posizioni prima di ottenere i risultati migliori.

OPERAZIONI PRELIMINARI
IMPOSTAZIONE DEL SENSORE
Questo prodotto funziona con una batteria ricaricabile AAA che deve essere ricaricata attraverso il pannello solare.
IMPORTANTE Inserire nel vano batterie del pannello solare UNICAMENTE batterie ricaricabili di tipo NiMH. Non ricaricare batterie non ricaricabili.
NOTA Inserire prima la batteria nell’unità principale remoto e successivamente nel sensore remoto senza fili.
Impostazione del sensore remoto:
1. Aprire il coperchio del vano batterie facendolo scorrere.
2. Utilizzare il commutatore di canale per selezionare un canale (1, 2, 3). Verificare di utilizzare un canale diverso per ciascun sensore.
3. Inserire la batteria facendo corrispondere i poli (+/-).
4. Premere RESET dopo ogni sostituzione di batteria.
SUGGERIMENTO Per preservare la migliore condizione della batteria, prima del primo utilizzo si consiglia di caricarla per almeno 12 ore.
5. Per cominciare a ricevere i dati della temperatura dal sensore (e dell’umidità – solo con il modello
THGN132ES), avviare la ricerca dello stesso sull’unità principale.
POSIZIONI IDEALI PER IL SENSORE REMOTO
Il pannello solare del sensore non richiede di essere esposto a luce solare diretta. La luce ambientale o riflessa del sole è sufficiente per caricare completamente le batterie.
Il posizionamento ideale per il sensore è un luogo all’esterno dell’abitazione ad un’altezza non inferiore a 1,5 m, dove possa essere protetto da luce solare diretta o umidità per garantire la precisione delle rilevazioni.
Quattro ore di carica in condizioni ottimali generano energia sufficiente a far funzionare l’unità per 1 settimana.
CAMBIO DEI CANALI
Per cambiare i canali dopo che un canale è stato assegnato:
1. Posizionare l’apposito selettore sul canale desiderato.
2. Premere RESET.
3. Per cominciare a ricevere i dati della temperatura dal sensore (e dell’umidità – solo con il modello
THGN132ES), avviare la ricerca dello stesso sull’unità principale.

Pour vérifier si la lumière du soleil est suffisante pour charger les piles à l'emplacement désiré :
Appuyez sur le bouton TEST à l’intérieur du compartiment des piles.
Le voyant LED vert indique que le panneau solaire recharge la pile.
Pour obtenir de meilleurs résultats :
• Positionnez la sonde à 30m maximum (100 pieds) de l’appareil principal.
• Ne placez pas la sonde directement face aux rayons du soleil ou en contact avec des matières humides.
• Positionnez la sonde pour qu’elle soit face à l’appareil principal, en minimisant les obstacles tels que porte, murs et meubles.
• Dirigez la sonde directement vers le ciel, éloignée des objets métalliques / électroniques.
• Positionnez la sonde à proximité de l’appareil principal pendant les mois d’hiver puisque le gel peut endommager le fonctionnement des piles et la transmission du signal.
ASTUCE La portée de transmission peut varier en fonction de nombreux facteurs. Il peut être nécessaire d’essayer plusieurs emplacements pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats.

AU COMMENCEMENT
REGLAGE DE LA SONDE
Ce produit utilise une pile rechargeable (AAA) que vous devez charger à l'aide du panneau solaire.
IMPORTANT Insérez des piles rechargeables de type
NiMH dans le compartiment des piles du panneau solaire.
Ne pas charger des piles non rechargeables.
REMARQUE Insérez les piles de la sonde à distance avant celles de l'appareil principal.
Installation de la sonde sans fil:
1. Ouvrez le couvercle du compartiment des piles.
2. Positionnez l’interrupteur de canal pour sélectionner un canal (1, 2, 3). Assurez-vous d’utiliser un canal différent pour chaque sonde.
3. Insérez la pile, en respectant les polarités (+/-).
4. Appuyer sur RESET après chaque changement de piles.
ASTUCE Pour garantir sa longévité, nous vous recommandons de charger la pile pendant au moins 12 heures avant la première utilisation.
5. Lancez une recherche de sonde à partir de l'appareil principal pour que la sonde transmette les données relatives à la température (et à l'humidité - modèle

EMPLACEMENTS IDÉAUX POUR LA SONDE À
DISTANCE
Inutile d'exposer le panneau solaire de la sonde directement
à la lumière du soleil. La lumière ambiante ou réfléchie du soleil fournira assez d'énergie pour charger efficacement les piles.
L’extérieur de la maison est le meilleur endroit pour installer la sonde, à 1,5 m (5 pieds) de hauteur maximum et non exposée aux rayons directs du soleil ou à l’humidité pour assurer la précision des données.
Un rechargement de 4 heures en conditions optimales fournit assez d'énergie pour que l'appareil puisse fonctionner
1 semaine lorsque les conditions météorologiques ne sont pas idéales.
CHANGEMENT DES CANAUX
Changer les canaux une fois un canal assigné :
1. Positionnez l'interrupteur de canal sur le canal désiré.
2. Appuyez sur RESET.

• Positionieren Sie die Sendeeinheit während der kalten Wintermonate in der Nähe der Basiseinheit, da
Temperaturen unter dem Gefrierpunkt die Batterieleistung und die Signalübertragung beeinträchtigen können.
TIPP Die Übertragungsreichweite kann von mehreren
Faktoren abhängen. Sie müssen eventuell mehrere
Standorte testen, um optimale Ergebnisse zu erzielen.

ERSTE SCHRITTE
EINRICHTUNG DER SENDEEINHEIT
Dieses Produkt benötigt 1 wiederaufladbare Batterie des
Typs AAA, die über den Sonnenkollektor aufgeladen werden sollte.
WICHTIG Geben Sie NUR wiederaufladbare Akkus des
Typs NiMH in das Batteriefach des Sonnenkollektors.
Versuchen Sie keinesfalls Batterien zu laden, die nicht wiederaufladbar sind.
HINWEIS Installieren Sie die Batterie zuerst in der
Funksendeeinheit und anschließend in der Basiseinheit.
So richten Sie die Funksendeeinheit ein:
1. Öffnen Sie die Batteriefachabdeckung.
2. Verschieben Sie den Kanal-Schalter, um einen Kanal auszuwählen (1, 2, 3). Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie für jede Sendeeinheit einen eigenen Kanal verwenden.
3. Legen Sie die Batterie ein und achten Sie auf die
Übereinstimmung der Polaritäten.
4. Nach jedem Batteriewechsel auf RESET drücken.
TIPP Um optimale Bedingungen für die Batterie zu schaffen, wird eingehend empfohlen, sie vor der ersten
Inbetriebnahme mindestens 12 Stunden lang aufzuladen.
5. Veranlassen Sie eine Suche der Sendeeinheit auf der
Basiseinheit, um den Empfang der Daten für Temperatur
(und Luftfeuchtigkeit – nur bei THGN132ES) durch die
Sendeeinheit zu starten.
OPTIMALE STANDORTE FÜR
FUNKSENDEEINHEITEN
Der Sonnenkollektor der Sendeeinheit erfordert keine direkte
Sonnenbestrahlung. Das Umgebungs- oder Reflexionslicht der Sonne liefert genügend Licht, um die Batterien erfolgreich zu laden.
Die optimale Platzierung für den Sensor ist eine beliebige
Stelle an der Außenseite Ihres Hauses in einer Höhe von max. 1,5 m (5 Fuß); diese Stelle sollte vor direkter
Sonnenbestrahlung oder Feuchtigkeit geschützt sein, um präzise Messwerte zu ermöglichen.
Jede 4-stündige Aufladung bei optimalen Bedingungen erzeugt genug Energie, um das Gerät bei nicht optimaler
Wetterlage 1 Woche lang zu betreiben.

So ändern Sie die Kanäle, sobald ein Kanal reserviert worden ist:

VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN
• Setzen Sie das Gerät keiner extremen Gewalteinwirkung und keinen Stößen aus, und halten Sie es von
übermäßigem Staub, Hitze oder Feuchtigkeit fern.
• Sie dürfen die Belüftungsöffnungen nicht mit
Gegenständen abdecken, wie z.B. Zeitungen, Vorhänge, usw.
• Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser. Falls Sie eine
Flüssigkeit über das Gerät verschütten, trocknen Sie es sofort mit einem weichen, faserfreien Tuch.
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls mit scheuernden oder ätzenden Mitteln.
• Machen Sie sich nicht an den internen Komponenten des Geräts zu schaffen, da dies zu einem Verlust der
Garantie führen kann.
• Verwenden Sie nur neue Batterien. Verwenden Sie keinesfalls neue und alte Batterien gemeinsam.

Para comprobar si hay suficiente luz del sol para cargar las pilas en el lugar seleccionado:
Pulse TEST en el compartimento para pilas.
El piloto LED verde indica que el panel solar está recargando la pila.
Cómo conseguir los mejores resultados:
• Coloque el sensor en un radio de 30 m (100 pies) de la unidad principal.
• Coloque el sensor en un lugar en el que no esté expuesto a la luz directa del sol ni a la humedad.
• Coloque el sensor de tal modo que quede de cara a la unidad principal, minimizando obstrucciones como puertas, paredes y muebles.
• Coloque el sensor en un lugar al aire libre, alejado de objetos metálicos o electrónicos.
• Coloque el sensor cerca de la unidad central durante los fríos meses del invierno, ya que las temperaturas bajo cero podrían afectar el rendimiento de las pilas y la transmisión de la señal.

CÓMO EMPEZAR
INSTALACIÓN DEL SENSOR
Este producto utiliza una pila recargable AAA que se carga mediante el panel solar.
IMPORTANTE Introduzca SOLAMENTE pilas recargables
NiMH en el compartimento para pilas del panel solar. No cargue pilas no recargables.
NOTA Instale la pila en el sensor remoto antes de conectar la unidad principal.
Para configurar el sensor remoto:
1. Abra la tapa del compartimento para pilas.
2. Deslice el interruptor de canal para seleccionar un canal
(1, 2, 3). Asegúrese de usar un canal distinto para cada sensor.
3. Introduzca la pila haciendo coincidir la polaridad (+ y -).
4. Pulse REINICIO cada vez que cambie las pilas.
CONSEJO Le recomendamos encarecidamente que la primera vez que cargue la pila recargable lo haga durante al menos 12 horas para mantenerla en el mejor estado posible.
5. Inicie una búsqueda de sensor en la unidad principal para empezar a recibir datos de temperatura (y humedad en el caso del THGN132ES) del sensor.
UNICACIONES IDÓNEAS PARA EL SENSOR
REMOTO
El panel solar del sensor no requiere luz directa del sol. La luz ambiental o reflejada del sol es suficiente para cargar las pilas.
Los lugares idóneos para colocar un sensor son exteriores del hogar, a una altura no superior a 1,5 m (5 pies) y en un lugar en que no esté expuesto a la luz directa del sol ni a humedad excesiva para que nada influya en la lectura.
Cada 4 horas de carga en condiciones óptimas generan energía suficiente para que la unidad opere durante 1 semana en que las condiciones meteorológicas no sean ideales.
CÓMO CAMBIAR DE CANAL
Para cambiar de canal una vez ya ha asignado el canal:
1. Deslice el Interruptor de canal al canal que desee.
2. Pulse REINICIO.
3. Inicie una búsqueda de sensor en la unidad principal para empezar a recibir datos de temperatura (y humedad en el caso del THGN132ES) del sensor.

PARA COMEÇAR
CONFIGURAÇÃO DO SENSOR
Este produto utiliza 1 pilha AAA recarregável, a ser carregada através do painel solar.
IMPORTANTE Coloque APENAS pilhas recarregáveis do tipo NiMH no compartimento de pilha do painel solar. Não carregue pilhas não-recarregáveis.
NOTA Instale primeiramente a pilha no sensor remoto e, a seguir, na unidade principal.
Para ajustar o sensor remoto:
1. Deslize a porta do compartimento de pilha para abri-la.
2. Deslize o interruptor de canal para selecionar um canal
(1, 2, 3). Certifique-se de usar um canal diferente para cada sensor.
3. Insira a pilha, fazendo a correspondência das polaridades (+ / -).
4. Pressione RESET após a troca das pilhas.
DICA A fim de manter a pilha em boas condições, recomenda-se carregá-la durante, pelo menos, 12 horas antes do primeiro uso.
5. Inicie uma busca do sensor na unidade principal a fim de começar a receber dados de temperatura (e umidade - apenas THGN132ES) do sensor.
LOCALIZAÇÃO IDEAL PARA O SENSOR REMOTO
O painel solar do sensor não necessita de luz solar direta.
O ambiente ou a luz refletiva do sol fornecerá luz suficiente para carregar as pilhas com eficácia.
A posição ideal para o sensor seria num local no exterior da casa, a uma altura que não exceda os 1,5 m (5 pés) e que esteja fora do alcance da luz solar direta ou de condições
úmidas, a fim de permitir uma leitura exata.

Cada recarga de 4 horas em condições ideais produz energia suficiente para operar a unidade durante 1 semana quando as condições meteorológicas não forem ideais.

• Utilize apenas pilhas novas. Não misture pilhas novas e usadas. Retire as pilhas caso pretenda guardar o produto.

STARTEN
SENSOR INSTELLEN
Dit product gebuikt een AAA oplaadbare batterij, die opgeladen dient te worden met het zonnepaneel.
BELANGRIJK Plaats ALLEEN oplaadbare NiMH batterijen in het batterijvak van het zonnepaneel. Probeer geen nietoplaadbare batterijen op te laden.
NB Plaats de batterij eerst in de sensor en daarna in het apparaat.
Om de buitensensor in te stellen:
1. Schuif het batterijklepje open.
2. Gebruik kanaalschakelaar om een kanaal te selecteren
(1, 2, 3). Controleer het gebruik van een verschillend kanaal voor elke sensor.
3. Plaats batterij volgens de polariteit (+ / -).
4. Druk altijd op RESET nadat u de batterijen vervangen heeft.
TIP Om de batterij in goede staat te houden, raden wij met klem aan ten minste 12 uur op te laden vóór het eerste gebruik.
5. Laat het weerstation naar sensoren zoeken om de overdracht van temperatuurgegevens (en vochtigheidsgegevens - alleen bij THGN132ES) te starten.
IDEALE LOCATIES VOOR BUITENSENSOR
Het zonnepaneel van de sensor heeft geen direct zonlicht nodig. Indirect zonlicht is voldoende om de batterijen op te laden.
De ideale plek voor nauwkeurige sensormetingen is een locatie buitenshuis, op een hoogte van niet meer dan 1,5 m (5 ft), waar geen negatieve invloed van direct zonlicht of overvloedige vochtigheid is.

Elke vier uur opladen onder optimale omstandigheden levert genoeg energie op om de sensor 1 week te gebruiken als de weerscondities niet ideaal zijn.
KANALEN WIJZIGEN
Om de kanalen te wijzigen nadat deze zijn toegewezen:
1. Zet de kanaalschakelaar op het gewenste kanaal.
2. Druk op RESET.
3. Laat het weerstation naar sensoren zoeken om de overdracht van temperatuurgegevens (en vochtigheidsgegevens - alleen bij THGN132ES) te starten.

WAARSCHUWINGEN
• Stel het apparaat niet bloot aan extreme klappen, schokken, stof, temperatuur of vochtigheid.
• Dek de ventilatiegaten niet af met kranten, gordijnen etc.
• Dompel het product nooit onder in water. Als u water over het apparaat morst, droog het dan onmiddellijk af met een zachte stofvrije doek.
• Reinig het apparaat niet met krassende of bijtende materialen.
• Laat de interne componenten met rust. Anders kan dit de garantie beïnvloeden.
• Gebruik alleen nieuwe batterijen. Gebruik nooit oude en nieuwe batterijen door elkaar.

Om te controleren of er op een bepaalde locatie voldoende zonlicht is om de batterijen op te laden:
Druk op TEST in het batterijvak.
Een groene LED geeft aan dan het zonnepaneel de batterij oplaadt.
Voor het beste resultaat:
• Plaats de sensor binnen een straal van 30 m (100 voet) van de hoofdeenheid.
• Plaats de sensor niet in direct zonlicht of op een vochtige plaats.
• Positioneer de sensor zodat hij direct gericht is op de hoofdeenheid, rekening houdend met deuren, muren, meubels en andere obstakels.
• Plaats de sensor op een locatie in de open lucht en niet naast metalen en elektronische objecten.
• Positioneer de sensor in de koude wintermaanden dichtbij de hoofdeenheid; Temperaturen onder nul kunnen de levensduur van de batterij en de signaalsterkte beïnvloeden.
TIP Het zendbereik kan variëren, afhankelijk van allerlei factoren. U kunt het best verschillende plekken uitproberen om de beste voor uw sensor te vinden.

• Position the sensor so that it faces the main (indoor) unit, minimizing obstructions such as doors, walls and furniture.
• Place the sensor in a location with a clear view to the sky, away from metallic / electronic objects.
• Position the sensor close to the main unit during cold winter months as below-freezing temperatures may affect battery performance and signal transmission.
TIP The transmission range may vary depending on many factors. You may need to experiment with various locations to get the best results.

GETTING STARTED
SENSOR SET UP
This product uses 1 AAA rechargeable battery which should be charged via the solar panel.
IMPORTANT Place ONLY NiMH type rechargeable batteries in the solar panel battery compartment. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
NOTE Install battery in the remote sensor before the main unit.
To set up the remote sensor:
1. Slide open the battery door.
2. Slide channel switch to select a channel (1, 2, 3). Ensure you use a different channel for each sensor.
3. Insert the battery, matching the polarities (+/-).
4. Press RESET after each battery change.
TIP To keep battery in best condition, it is strongly advised to charge it for at least 12 hours before first use.
5. Initiate a sensor search on the main unit to start receiving temperature (and humidity - THGN132ES only) data from the sensor.
IDEAL LOCATIONS FOR REMOTE SENSOR
The sensor’s solar panel does not require direct sunlight.
The ambient or reflective light of the sun will provide enough light to effectively charge the batteries.
Ideal placements for the sensor would be in any location on the exterior of the home at a height of not more than 1.5m
(5 ft) and which can shield it from direct sunlight or wet conditions for an accurate reading.

To check if there is sufficient sunlight at selected location:
Press TEST located in the battery compartment.
Green LED (directly above TEST) will light up to indicate battery is being charged.
For best results:
• Place the sensor within 30 m (100 ft) of the main unit.
• Place the sensor out of direct sunlight and moisture.
Each 4 hour charge in optimal conditions generates enough power to operate the unit for 1 week when weather conditions are not ideal.
CHANGING CHANNELS
To change channels once channel has been assigned:
1. Slide channel switch to desired channel.
2. Press RESET.
3. Initiate a sensor search on the main unit to start receiving temperature (and humidity – THGN132ES only) data from the sensor.

• Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components. This invalidates the warranty.
• Only use fresh batteries. Do not mix new and old batteries.

• When disposing of this product, ensure it is collected separately for special treatment and not as household waste.
• Placement of this product on certain types of wood may result in damage to its finish for which Oregon

開始使用
傳感器設定
本產品使用一顆可通過太陽能電池板充電的AAA充電電池。
重要 只能在太陽能電池板的電池倉內裝入鎳氫型充電電
池。 切勿對非充電電池充電。
注 遠端傳感器內的電池應先於主機安裝。
設置遠端傳感器:
1. 滑開電池倉門。
2. 滑動頻道開關,選擇某一頻道(1, 2, 3)。應確保各傳感
器使用不同的頻道。
3. 按極性方向裝入電池(+/-)。
4. 每次更換電池後按重置。
提示 為使電池保持在最佳狀態,強烈建議您首次使用前至
少應充電12小時。
5. 在主機上啟動傳感器搜索,開始從傳感器接收溫度(及濕
度-僅限THGN132ES)資料。
遠端傳感器的理想設置位置
傳感器的太陽能電池板不需要直射陽光。環境或反射陽光即
可為電池有效充電提供足夠的光線。
為獲得精確的讀數,應將傳感器安放在房屋外牆上高度不超
過1.5米(5英尺)、可遮擋直射陽光和防止受潮的位置。

• 傳感器應面向主(室內)機,兩者之間儘量減少障礙物(例
