Brew Guide
Characteristics: A balanced cup that’s fresh and

Open the Chemex filter and place the 3 layer portion
on the spout side of the brewer.

Pre-heat and dampen the filter. Wait for all the water
to drain through the filter then pour the water
out of the Chemex.
3.
Put the medium-coarse ground coffee into the
dampened filter.
4.
Pour a small amount of hot water (about 200°F) onto
the ground until the coffee ‘blooms’.
5.
Wait 30 seconds after the coffee blooms, and then
slowly pour the water over the grounds in a
circular motion keeping the water below the
top of the brewer.
6.
At about 1:45, fill the Chemex to the top with hot
water and wait.
7.
At 4:00 carefully remove the filter and place it in
the sink, it will drip.
8.
Serve and Enjoy!
clean with very little sediment.
