The power supply and the display/output device must be connected in accordance with the safety regulations for electrical equipment. The power supply may not exceed the specified limits. >>Danger of injury, damage to or destruction of the controller Avoid shock and vibration to the controller. Avoid continuous exposure to spray on the controller. Avoid exposure to aggressive materials (washing agent, penetrating liquids) on the controller. >>Danger of injury, damage to or destruction of the controller Do not clean the display with water. >>Damage to or destruction of the display Read the detailed instruction manual before using the controller. The manual is available online or on the supplied CD. Notes on CE Identification The following applies for the CSP 2008: EC regulation 2004/108/EC The system satisfies the requirements of the standards -- EN 61326-1:2006 / RFI emission: Class A according to CISPR 11 -- EN 61326-1:2006 / Immunity to interference: Class III, according to DIN EN 61140 The system satisfies the requirements if they comply with the regulations described in the instruction manual for installation and operation. Plugging in the sensor connector: Position the red marking points of plug and socket opposite each other before plugging them both together. It is important that the cable is never subjected to pull force. Install a strain relief close to the controller. Do not twist the plugged connection. Detaching the sensor connection: Hold the connectors on the grooved grips (outer sleeves) and pull them apart. Pulling on the cable and the lock nut does not release the connection. Preferably use the original connection cables from MICRO-EPSILON from the instruction manual, Chap. Optional Accessories, for connecting sensors. Sensor Connection At the two sensor connection sockets, up to two sensors with digital output e.g. ILD1402 can be connected with the CSP2008. Use the PC1402-x/CSP connection cable. The controller detects the measuring range after selection of the sensor type automatically. Also the controller supplies both sensors with the supply voltage. Ethernet The universal controller is connected to a PC or universally with a network via an Ethernet interface. The internal web sites can be loaded in the controller by means of a web browser. The controller can therefore be operated. A graphical presentation of the measurement values is possible also. The green and yellow LED on Ethernet socket indicate the contact and speed of the connection. Operation Using PC (Ethernet) Connect the controller (“Ethernet“ female connector) to a PC. Use a LAN cable with RJ-45 connectors for this. At the controller, change to the mode Settings > Basic settings > Ethernet > IP Address. You need the IP address listed here for the connection with the PC. Start a web browser on your PC. Type the IP address of the controller in the address line of the web browser. Interactive web pages for programming the controller and peripherals are now shown in the web browser. Assembly Instructions CSP 2008 Confirm all settings with “Submit“ before you activate another button or menu item. All settings in the web page are applied immediately in the controller. The parallel operation with keyboard and web browser is possible; the last setting applies. Do not forget to save. EtherCAT Additonal I/O modules, e.g. from Beckhoff company, can be connected via an EtherCAT bus coupler to the universal controller via the EtherCAT interface. The green and orange LEDs on EtherCAT socket indicate the contact and speed of the connection. The sequence of extension terminals must comply with the actual arrangement in the bus. The terminals follow on the bus coupler EK1100. The following sequence is to observe at the terminals: Analog / Digital output terminals, Analog- / Digital input terminals / RS422 extension terminal.
