DESCRIPTION
CIMSTAR 10-75 is a semi-synthetic metalworking fluid.
APPLICATION
CIMSTAR 10-75 was developed for use on ferrous and
most non-ferrous materials. It can be used on mild steels,
stainless steels, hardened steels, exotic materials and
most aluminum alloys. It should not be used on
magnesium alloys.
For use in moderate duty machining and grinding
applications, such as milling, drilling, cut tapping, and
surface grinding.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
VERSATILE PRODUCT:
This high oil containing chlorinated semi-synthetic offers
the lubricity of soluble oils and the cleanliness of a semisynthetic. Because of this versatility it can be used on
tough applications like sawing but can also be used for
surface grinding.
LUBRICITY:
The CIMSTAR 10-75 provides excellent tool life and
surface finish. The combination of boundary and extreme
pressure agents provides the lubricity needed for tough
applications.
STABILITY:
The product is very clean due to its ability to form a
stable emulsion, especially when compared to soluble
oils.
CIMSTAR® 10-75
METALWORKING FLUID
RECOMMENDED STARTING DILUTIONS:
CIMSTAR 10-75 is to be mixed with water for use. Always add concentrate to water. Fluid may
be more difficult to mix when water temperature is below 55 F (13 C). Add no other materials to
the concentrate or mix unless approved by your CIMCOOL® District Manager.
Grinding
5% - 10%
(1:20 to 1:10)
Machining
5% - 10%
(1:20 to 1:10)
CONCENTRATION
MI Titration, Non-solvent Titration, Total Alkalinity or Refractometer can be used.

Sheet
The Refractometer Factor is 1.2.
Multiply the scale reading obtained on your CIMCOOL® Refractometer by this factor to obtain
the mix concentration in percent. Calibrate the refractometer so that it reads 0.0 with water
before testing the sample mix. Remove gross contaminants from the sample mixes before
testing. A refractometer is only recommended for use in checking the concentration on a fresh
charge.
