DIE CUT GASKETS
Die cut gaskets are used in a wide variety of applications. Some of the more common uses of die cut gaskets are:
environmental seals, dust seals, vibration dampers, and EMI shielding. When designing a gasket, remember to consider
environmental, regulatory, and electrical requirements. Many of our products can be supplied with an adhesive backing,
which can reduce or eliminate the need to use unmanageable liquid adhesive on the assembly line. Our sales team is

ITEMS TO CONSIDER WHEN SPECIFYING A DIE CUT PART INCLUDE:
• Consider a multi-cavity steel rule die instead of a single cavity. Multiple cavity dies increase the number of gaskets
made with each hit, which may reduce the amount of labor needed to manufacture production quantities.
• In some cases, accordion style dies should be considered. Accordion style dies make efficient use of the gasket
material.

MICRO-VU AND LASER QC
Modus relies on our automated vision and laser systems to help
ensure product quality and conformity. The advanced metrology
software allows our Quality Control Department to import
CAD drawings and use the drawings as the basis for inspecting

COMPATHERM GAP FILLER
Nolato’s Thermal Shielding Solution
Nolato’s Compatherm® gap filler is a thermally conductive
material that was developed to meet the growing demand for
reliable, cost-effective thermal interface materials. Ideal for
applications requiring heat transfer from a PCB to a heat sink,
these ultra soft and pliable materials can drastically cut thermal
resistance and greatly enhance cooling by filling air gaps and
small irregularities. Available over a wide range of thicknesses,
mechanical properties, liner solutions and thermal performance,
this material can also be customized based on customer needs.
CompaTherm is so effective, many engineers have found that
it can altogether eliminate the need for fans in their electronic
devices. Applications for this material include general thermal
management, gap filling, gaskets, and overall reduction of thermal

WESHIELDTM EMI SHIELDING
Modus is a manufacturer and distributor of various EMI Shielding
products, which are used as a medium to provide electrical
conductivity across a gasket-flange interface. Our line of electrically
conductive elastomers includes carbon, graphite, or silver-filled
silicone. We also sell monel or aluminum mesh, oriented wire in
silicone, metalized fabric covered foam, and other specialty products.
EMI shielding products can be molded, die-cut, extruded or fabricated,

NOLATO EMC PRODUCTION CENTER-FORM-IN-PLACE
As an authorized Nolato EMC Production Center, Modus dispenses Nolato’s patented Trishield® and Trishield Soft®
materials onto castings and machined parts using Nolato’s advanced dispensing technology.
Our form-In-place robots use the latest automation technology to dispense a defined gasket bead on virtually any work
piece. Dispensed gaskets are perfect for use in many aerospace, industrial, high technology, medical equipment and
military applications.
Gaskets requiring thin profiles, intricate shapes and/or changes in the Z-axis or elevation are easily dispensed by our
robots. Cutting-edge technology such as Inline Z-axis Compensation ensures our Form-In-Place gaskets meet your
specification, even on imperfect gasket surfaces. Prior to dispensing, our robots check the gasket shelf and make
automatic adjustments to the needle height at various locations resulting in a superior gasket.
