FlySky FS-A8S 8-Channel Receiver
The FlySky FS-A8S is a compact receiver that is specifically designed for use with drones. It uses
the AFHDS 2A protocol used by FlySky transmitters and has PPM and i-BUS/S.BUS outputs to
connect to most types of flight controller.
The receiver is supplied with a connecting cable which plugs into the socket on the receiver unit.
The pin-outs are clearly marked on the top and the wire colours are indicated in the table below:

Binding Process
Put your transmitter into bind mode following the manufacturer’s instructions. Power on the
receiver whilst holding the bind button down. The LED on the receiver will flash slowly once
binding is complete. Exit the binding mode on the transmitter to complete the process. The LED
on the receiver should remain solid.
Changing i-BUS/S.BUS Mode
When turned on and bound, change the mode by holding down the bind button for 2 seconds.
• LED turns off for one second then flashes twice = i-BUS mode
• LED flashes twice then turns off for one second = S.BUS mode
