The operator friendly, powerful MAX 403/403S e 503 models can handle almost any
portable welding application. Add any selection of MIG/MAG wire feeders to suit any
applications Standard, Synergic or Pulse with Double Pulse.
• ST-Arc technology. Automatically compensating for any change in the welding
conditions owing to workpiece position or operator’s hand movements.
• Maintains the desired temperature without having to stop welding to add more heat.
• VRD. An internal dip switch enables reduced open-circuit Stick welding capability. OCV
is typically below the 20 volts with this function.
• Superior Stick performance, even on difficult-to-run electrodes with Arc-Force and

Optimized specifically for the best welding performance, the MAX 403 delivers more arcon time with fewer defects or reworking and superior arc-condition.
• Inverter arc control technology. Provides first-class welding performance on a variety
of materials.

PFC Multi-link
• Normative: Stel has always given a moral emphasis to technologies that are
environmentally freindly and energy conscious. Manufacturing is focused on
producing products that are compatible to meeting with energy saving protocol
and recent European Standards. In order to manufacture in respect of reducing
harmonic distortion as per the limitations of European Standards December 2010
(EN 61000-3-12) Stel has developed an inovated PFC. (Power Factor Correction).
• Energy Saving: The new PFC technology requires less electrical input to the
INVERTER power source by utilizing the total current available from the input
supply. This results in a 30% saving through avoiding energy loss.
• Compatibility: The PFC Multi-Link is able to operate from any input voltage all
over the world. This sophisticated device automatically links the primary Voltage
supplied from 90V up to 290V (for the 1phase power source) and from 200V
to 575V (for the 3phase power source) without manually linking primary voltage
terminals.No switching or internal link-up is required by the operator.
