Vending Systems Business
Continuing to Provide New Value Globally Based on the Concept of "Energy & Labor Conservation"
Continuing to Provide New Value Globally Based on the Concept of
"Energy & Labor Conservation"
The vending systems business had its beginnings in 161, when
Sanden developed and began marketing a fountain-type automatic juice
vending machine. Over the next 4 years, Sanden's sustained efforts
to develop and market products featuring industry-leading and worldfirst technologies have made substantial contributions to its customers'
businesses. As the number of vending machines being used in Japan has
surpassed 5.2 million, these machines have become a part of the country's
lifestyle infrastructure. To make a social contribution as a vending machine
manufacturer that emphasizes responses to the global environment, the
social environment, and the customer environment, we are continuing to
strive to provide new value based on five concepts―(1) additional energy
conservation, (2) use of non-fluoron refrigerants, (3) use of universal
designs, (4) contributions to society, and (5) network business.
In 200, Sanden developed world-standard Glass-Front Vendor Series
(GFV) products designed to feature technologies on the leading edge of
global progress in technology along with high product quality in line with
global standards. Plans call for expanding the marketing of these products
in Japan, the Americas, Europe, and Asia outside Japan. Since 2007, we
have been expanding the applications of vending machine technologies in
the food service equipment field as a means of supporting the businesses
of our customers.
The vending machines developed and manufactured by Sanden have
undergone quantitative life-cycle assessment (LCA) in line with the EcoLeaf
environmental labeling program, and the environmental impact analysis
results are disclosed to the general public via the Internet*.
In 2010, Sanden launched new general-use vending machine models that
incorporate heat pumps as well as models that employ LED illumination.
