FUNCTIONS
When planning your next function, why not consider the West Beach Surf Club? With a relaxed
atmosphere and absolute beachfront views, our venue makes for the perfect location.
For birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties, casual wedding receptions or any other occasion
you may wish to celebrate, our friendly staff will work with you to ensure your function is a
memorable one.
We can accommodate for a range of function styles, including meetings, formal sit down dinners
for up to 80 people and cocktail parties for up to 200 people.
Our club features floor to ceiling glass windows facing the ocean, air conditioning and ceiling fans,
large screen projector viewing, wooden floorboards and modern lighting.
We have a range of menus available to suit all occasions. However, we do understand that not all
functions have the same needs, which is why our chef would be pleased to work with you, to
create a unique menu to suit your function.

Most of our functions are booked for a Saturday night. In summer months functions starting time
can be no earlier than 7:30pm on Saturday nights.
We do not hire the room on a Friday night. If you have a small group of people please consider a
Sunday afternoon. Please talk to our friendly staff for more information.

Our kitchen staff will cut and place you cake on a platter and we will provide plates
and spoons.

Late license
$130
Our license normally ceases at 12am. If you have more than 80 guests you may
request an extra hour.
This request must be received by the club 3 weeks prior to your event


Table cloths
Security
For all 21st Birthday Parties and late licenses there is a non negotiable charge of
$200 will be for security. This provides a security guard for the last 4 hours of your
function.

Bar/ Drinks
Bar prices start at $6 a pint with 6 beers available on Tap.
House wine includes a Sparkling White, Sauvignon Blanc, Moscato and Shriaz at $5 per glass.
Open Bar
Host provides an amount to spend. We recommend tap beer, wine , soft
drinks and coffee
Subsidised Bar
This is where a guest would pay $3 per drink and the host would pay for
the remainder of each drink.
Self Purchase Open Bar Guests pay for own drinks
Drinks Packages
Starting at $42 per head for 4 hours. Please ask Kate for more
information.
A minimum spend of $1500 over the bar on Saturday night functions.
We start a “Bar Tab” at the beginning of the function. All amounts are payed at the conclusion of
the end of your function in full.
We will keep you up to date in dollar increments of your choice.
Platter Menu

Each platter consists of an average of 30 pieces

We recommend ordering 1 to 1 ½ platters per 10 people for nibbles.

We do not allow any self catering; please talk to our chef for any catering needs.

If you are inquiring about sit-down function please ask Kate for a formal sit-down menu.
Please note we do not sit more than 80 comfortably.

Food is normally served once most guests have arrived - within a 2 hour period. Food is
served by our staff in a cocktail style fashion.

All food must be ordered 7 days prior to your event.

A signed copy of West Beach Surf Life Saving Club terms and conditions must accompany the
booking application form. Bookings are considered tentative until the club has received the required
non-refundable deposit, booking application form and signed terms and conditions. Should we not
receive this within 14 days of mailing, the tentative booking may lapse.
WEST BEACH SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB TERMS & CONDITIONS
Confirmation deposit:
A minimum deposit $300 is required for booking to be confirmed.
Booking exclusions:
The West Beach Surf Life Saving Club does not accept bookings for 18th birthday parties, bucks/gentleman’s evenings
or Year 12 Graduation parties.
Cancellation:
In the event of a cancellation for a confirmed function, all deposit money is non-refundable.
Settlement:
Settlement of the account is required prior to the function or on the day/evening of the function.
Prices:
All prices are based on current cost and are subject to change without notice to meet increases as they arise. Quoted
prices include GST.
Damages:
The client is financially responsible for any damage incurred to the Club during the function.
Security:
The Club reserves the right to exclude or eject any and all objectionable person(s) from the function or Club premises
without liability.
Fire Safety:
The use of compressed gas, flammable liquid/gas, heaters, lamps, lanterns and other heat producing devices are
forbidden from the Club.
Insurance:
The Club will not accept responsibility for damage or loss of merchandise left in the Club prior, during or after the
function. The clients should arrange their own insurance and/or security.
Unforeseen Events:
The Club does not accept any liability in the event of any natural disasters, labour disputes, transportation, strikes,
picketing or any other unforeseen circumstance that is beyond the control of the Club.
Deliveries:
All deliveries to the Club must be advised in advance to your co-coordinator. Deliveries must be clearly marked with the
name of the event. The Club will not provide storage space for goods unless prior arrangements have been made.
Signage and Display:
Nothing is to be nailed, screwed or fixed in any way to any wall, door or other part of the building.
Menu Selection:
Our Club takes great pride in providing superb cuisine and service. In order to provide a quality experience, the Club
requires your menu selection to be confirmed no later than 7 days prior to the function. In the event of changing the
previously confirmed menu, the client may incur a price variation.
Final Numbers:
The function organiser must confirm the guaranteed number of guests attending the event 7 days prior to the event.
Guests under 18 years:
The club does not accept bookings for 18th birthday parties. The club does not accept responsibility for guests under
the age of 18 years. A responsible adult must accompany all minors attending functions at the Club. Under no
circumstances may they be served or provided alcohol. No id, no service. All minors must be off premises by 12.00am.
Car parking:
Public parking is free. As per council all cars are only able to park in car park until 1am
Departure:
Departure time is as per agreed under the contract. Drinks will cease to be supplied and guests are to vacate the function
room within a half hour of the conclusion of the event. Failure to do so within this time frame may incur additional
charges.
