Adult Coloring and Music Meditation
Wednesday, August 23rd, 1:00 - 2 PM
Join us for a fun and relaxing afternoon of
coloring and meditation as we sit and draw, use
color, our imagination, and destress. All
supplies will be provided by Lianep Carrion,
who will lead and guide you in this new
program. Be sure to sign up and have a great
time. This is a new, on-going program!
Are you a caregiver to a friend or
relative? Are you finding yourself
experiencing burnout or sometimes
sadness? If so, please schedule an
appointment with Shevon, and
attend a session that will offer ways
to assist and offer ways to deal with
caregiver stress and compassion
fatigue. Each participant will receive
a manual and resources for future
use. Shevon can cater the meeting to
your individual’s questions as well.

Poco Loco Line Dancing Line Dance Lessons are easy, fun,
friendly, and good exercise. Both
men and women enjoy line dancing.
You don’t need a partner and
beginners are welcome! Fall classes
are held on Monday Morning at a
new location, Twin Lakes Mc Bid Hall,
42660 Albrecht Road in Elyria.
Classes run from 9:30-11 AM. No
experience is required. If you have
questions, you may call 775-1504 x3.

Bowling Come on over to the
Oberlin College Lanes on Tuesdays
at 1 PM. Bowlers gather and enjoy a
series of lane busting strikes and
spares! New comers welcome.
Rentals are available. Register at the
lanes and have a wonderful time!
Looms & Needles Weaving
Master Weaver, Ann Rogers will lead
the group in techniques needed to
get started and build your skills as a
weaver. Come learn the art of design
and color while using a 4-harness
loom. From start to finish, you will
find new-found enjoyment with your
new hobby. Materials supplied. Join
us Mondays at 9A and Wednesdays,
10A - 2P. Sessions held in the Frank
Serazin Memorial Room.

We are always looking for volunteers to
help with programs and activities at the
Senior Center. If you have a desire to
share your talents, meet new friends, lead a
group, or maintain office skills, please talk
to us about becoming a Volunteer.

stations will be available
for our senior adults.

Quick and Easy Recipe: Southwest Chicken
Wrap

Cooked chicken breast – Cubed or sliced
 3 Teaspoons of Garlic
 ½ cup of corn
 1/3 cup of black beans
 1 Tablespoon of Lime Juice
 1/3 cup of favorite salsa
 Whole wheat tortilla shells or wraps
 Low Fat Cheddar Cheese
 Low Fat Sour Cream
Cook the chicken in the garlic or purchase a rotisserie. Slice or cube the chicken and set to the side. Combine
the corn, black beans, salsa and lime juice. Pour the mixture of the chicken and mix together. Warm up a
tortilla shell for 10 seconds in the microwave or in the oven for 3 minutes at 350 degrees. Fill the tortilla shell
with the chicken and bean mixture, top with cheese and sour cream and enjoy!
