The Emergency Operating System is designed to maintain and
continue the current operation mode of the vacuum generator
when an emergency or power failure occurs by an adjustable or
fixed vacuum level on the mechanical pressure sensor.

Blow-off Adjustment
The volume of air during the blow-off function to release the
workpiece can be set by turning the needle adjustment up
or down. Access the needle adjustment through opening of
protective cover (topside).

Sensor settings must be set so that n_1 > n_2 and P_3 > P_4.
AIR ECONOMIZING SWITCH POINT IS FACTORY SET AT
18 inHg. ALL SYSTEM DESIGN PARAMETERS MUST BE
ANALYZED BEFORE CHANGING “n_1”. Air Economizing
function will be turned off by setting “n_1” above the maximum
vacuum pressure that the system can create.
It may be necessary to adjust the part presence Output 2 to avoid
false signals when vacuum is falsely created by tubing or fitting
flow restrictions in an open system.
Air Economizing and
Vacuum Level Control
The vacuum sensor Output 1 is configured normally closed and
turns off the vacuum pilot valve. This controlled vacuum level is
programmed on the sensor by adjusting “n_1” or Output 1. When
the desired vacuum level is reached, the system begins the aireconomizing function by closing the vacuum valve air supply and
allowing the internal check valve to maintain the vacuum level
until the blow-off solenoid valve is activated to release the part or
the hysteresis value (programmed “n_2”) of Output 1 is reached
to restore the vacuum to the original desired level.

Contents
Filters – Periodic maintenance of the secondary vacuum filter
is necessary. The frequency of maintenance depends on the
environment and application. As the filter collects product from
the environment the maximum vacuum level potential and
response time may vary.
The CVX0260B is supplied with four (4) M5 x 1 Socket Head Cap
Screws to secure the unit to the optional mounting plate.
Silencer – Periodic maintenance of the silencer may be required.
The frequency of maintenance depends on the environment and
condition of the air supply.
