Unpacking And Installation

Although it is neither complicated to install nor difficult to operate your Matrix logic/

Speaker selector, a few minutes of your time is required to read manual for a properly wired installationand becoming familiar with its many features and how to use them.

Please take a great care in unpacking your Power Amplifier and do not discard the carton and other packing materials.

They may be needed with when moving your set and are required if it ever becomes necessary to return your set for service.

Never place the unit radiators, in front of heating vents, in excessively humid or dusty location to avoid early damage and for your years of quality use.

Connect your complementary components as illustrated in the following page.

The instruction for use shall state that the apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the

Apparatus.

Features

COMBINATION OF 4 PRODUCTS

EMS-2162(Matrix & Speaker Selector) is the Combination of EES-2161(Emergency Switcher),

EPS-2161(Speaker Selector), EML-2161(Matrix Logic) and ERG/ERA-2161(Relay Group).

PRIORITY FUNCTION

Automatically controlled fire alarm the destination floor and with upper floor where takes fire while general announcement or music is broadcasting.

The order of Priority is 1) Fire Alarm & Emergency broadcasting, 2) Timer broadcasting,

3) Remote broadcasting, 4) Normal broadcasting.

INDIVIDUAL, GROUP, ALL BROADCASTING

There 16 Individual select buttons, 2 Group(1~8, 9~16) selector buttons, and All selector button.

AUTOMATIC POWER SUPPLY

Even though the EPD-2083 (Power Supply) is OFF, the power will be supplied by power control unit automatically when the fire signal comes into the system.

Front Panel Controls

1. EM( ) · NORMAL ( ) SELECTOR & INDICATOR

For checking Fire Alarm System& PA System, please push this button and checking

the connection of both systems.

After using the button, please make sure the position of button “ Normal”.

2. EMERGENCY INDICATOR

When you push EM ( ) Switch , the EM indicator will be “ON”.

After using the button, please make sure the position of button “ Normal”.

3. TIMER INDICATOR

When using Timer , the Timer indicator will be “ON”.

4,5. REMOTE 1&2 INDICATORS

When using Remote 1 or 2, the Remote 1 &2 indicator will be “ON”.

6. POWER REMOTE INDICATOR

When power is supplied by EPD-2083 (Power Supply), the Power Remote

Indicator will be “ ON”.

7. ALL SWITCH

When you make an announcement All zone, please push ALL switch.

8,10. GROUP 1& 2

When you make an announcement Each Group, you can push Group 1(1~8)

or Group 2(9~16) switch.

9,11. INDIVIDUALL SWITCH

You can select each zone by individual switch..

12 ALL, GROUP & INDIVIDUAL SWITCH INDICATORS

These indicators show the status of which switch you are using.

♣ Please make sure the EM & Normal Selector is Normal Position ,after checking

with fire alarm system.

♣ Please make sure All of buttons must be Proper Position after using the buttons

(All, Group, Individual Selector)

Rear Panel Controls

1. POWER DC IN –24V

This terminal should be connected to the Unswitched output terminal of EPD-2083

(Power supply)

2. REMOTE CONTROL TIMER IN(Contact)

Please connect this terminal to the output of Timer.

3. REMOTE CONTORL RMT OUT(Contact)

Please connect this terminal to the Power Remote In terminal of EPD-2083(Power Supply).

4, 5. RMT –2 & RMT –1 INPUT

These terminals should be connected to the speaker terminal of ERM-2120/2240/2320

(Remote Controller).

6. FIRE ALRAM IN

This terminal is connected to Fire Alarm System.

7. EXP IN

This is the terminal for connecting to the MATRIX LOGIC(EXPANSION OUT) terminal

of EEP-2162 (Emergency Controller).

8. EXP OUT

To add another EMS-2162(Matrix & Speaker Selector), this terminal is used.

To add another EMS-2162(Matrix & Speaker Selector), this terminal is used.

11. ATT (Volume Control) OUTPUT

ATT(Volume control) has three lines.

1)This terminal is connected to the Emergency line of ATT(Volume Control).

2) ATT In should be connected to the Speaker Output terminal of EMS-2162

(Matrix & Speaker Selector).

3) ATT Out should be connected to speakers.

12. POWER AMP IN

This terminal should be connected to the speaker output terminal (‘COM, 100V’)

of EPA-2123/2243/2403 (Power Amp)

13. SPEAKER OUTPUT( 1~8, 9~16)

These are terminals for connecting to speakers lines.

This consists of HOT and COM.
