Note: Camera locations denoted as ‘READY’ do not include a camera. All other inventory items are included. Installation
should include all steps other than those specific to camera installation, aiming and focusing.
Step 1: Determine location where camera is to be installed. Verify the following installation requirements for this
housing:
A. Adequate recess into the wall for cable sealing glad. A minimum of a 2”x2”x2” recess is
required. A duplex box cavity is also suitable.
B. Cables protruding from the building in conduit must be sealed to protect from water and air
penetration.
C. Cables must be sealed at the building entry point.
D. Cables must be sealed at the housing entry point.
E. Cable penetrations in the wall must be water tight.
Step 2: Install housing. Ensure the use of the sealing washers onto the Tapcon screws (or suitable substitute
based on wall substrate).
Step 3: Make power connections to the power board inside the housing for heater and blower.
Step 4: Install the Axis 216 camera and make network patch cable connections. Confirm that the camera is
operational prior to moving to Step 5.
Step 5: Proceed with aim and focus procedures.
Step 6: Replace bubble over the camera.

Electrical Box Mounting
•When mounting base ensure side conduit
entrance is facing down to minimize possible
water infiltration.
•Drill out two or more of the recessed holes in
the base housing corresponding to the type
of box used, and the mounting locations on
the box.
•Pull cable from the junction box through the
cable access hole on the housing.
•Install ½” enclosure plug in unused cable
opening (side). Seal threads with Teflon
tape or thread sealant.
•Mount the housing to the junction box using
appropriate hardware (not included).

Surface Mounting
•When mounting base ensure side conduit entrance is facing down to
minimize possible water infiltration.
•Drill out two or more of the recessed holes in the base housing
•Use holes in the back of the base housing as a template to mark hole
positions for the fasteners in the desired location.
•Install ½” enclosure plug in unused cable opening (side or back). Seal
threads with Teflon tape or thread sealant.
Concrete (shown)
•Drill two 3/16” holes in the marked locations.
•Drill a clearance hole large enough for the sealing gland into
the wall.
•Attach the sealing gland to the housing and run cabling
into the housing. (see Figure 4)
•Attach housing to the wall using concrete anchors, putting
the sealing washers between the head of the anchor and
the housing body, with the rubber side against the housing.

•Connect 24VAC 14-2 cable to the terminal block
labeled INPUT on Heater/Blower Unit.

Camera Installation:
•Attach Ethernet RJ45 cable to the camera.
•Mount the camera into the housing (see Figure 1), positioning the camera such that RJ45
connection is near to the cable access hole. Use the included #10 screws to secure the
camera to the housing.
•Make necessary adjustments to the lens (see camera instructions for details).
•Position liner so that the opening is lined up with the camera view.
•Attach the dome assembly to the base housing by tightening the four (4) hex screws using
the included 9/64” hex wrench.
