designed to give you trouble-free service.
You may already be familiar with using an MP3
Player but please take time to read these
instructions. They are designed to familiarise you
with the unit’s many features and to ensure you
get the very best from your purchase.

BASIC OPERATIONS

Power Source – install a AAA battery
Open the battery compartment cover; install
1 AAA battery (1.5V) according to the
polarity markings inside the battery
compartment
Please replace the battery with a new one
when a “Low Battery” sign flashing on the
LCD screen.
Note:
Remove the battery to avoid possible
damage caused by electrical leakage
when not using the player for long
periods of times.
Power ON/OFF

Press and hold the
key for 3 seconds
to turn ON the power, the LCD screen will
display with color backlight.
While the player is on, press and hold
3 seconds to turn OFF the power.

Play/Pause
1) When the MP3 player is under “music” or
“voice” mode. Press the
key to start playing.
The current song information including format,
track number, bite rate , playing time, repeat
mode, EQ mode, song tile or Lyrics(if available)
will be displayed on the screen.

2) Press the
key when the MP3 player is
under play status to pause playing, press the
key again to resume playing.
4. Next Song / Previous Song
When the MP3 player is under play status, jog
the “MODE” key rightward or leftward to skip to
the next song or previous song.
Jog the “MODE” key rightward or leftward and
hold to fast go forward or rewind within the
current song, release the key to resume playing.
5. A-B Repeat
While the MP3 is playing, with ► displayed,
briefly press and release the “MODE” key to
select the start point A, an “A-” appears on the
top left corner of the display. Press the “Mode”
button briefly again to set the end point B, a “A-B”
sign shows on the screen and the content
between point A and point B will be repeated
continuously. Press the “MODE” key once more
to exit the A-B repeat mode.
6. Adjust Volume.
Volume can be adjusted under both play and
stop status. Press the “VOL+” or “VOL-“ key to
adjust the volume, the volume indicator will
increase or decrease accordingly on the screen.

Push the “Hold” key to the direction shown by the
arrow to lock the buttons, push the “HOLD” key
to the reverse direction to unlock the buttons.

1. Play Music
When the MP3 player is powered on,
press and hold the “MODE” key to enter
the main menu. Select “Play Music”, the
MP3 player will enter music “STOP”
status. Press the
key to start playing.
2. Play Voice
Follow the same procedure to enter voice
file playing status.
3. Recording
Before recording - press and hold the
“Mode” button to enter the main menu,
jog “MODE” key to select “Setting”
category, press the “MODE” key to enter.
Jog “MODE” key again to select “Record
Set”. When one of the items is highlighted,
press the “MODE” button to select a
desired option. After setting, select “exit”
to return to the up one level category.
Start voice recording - Under voice mode,
press MODE to start recording.

Save a voice record file – Press the
“MODE” key to stop recording. The
Recorded files will be named and saved
automatically to a Voice folder at root
directory
as
MIC00001.WAV,
MIC00002.WAV, MIC00003.WAV, etc. in
to the player memory, according to the
sequence of voice recording taking place.
Play a recorded voice file - Press the
“M” button to return to the main menu, jog
“MODE” key to select “Play Voice” , press
button to play recorded file.
4. FM Tuner
Press and hold the “MODE” key to enter
the main menu, jog the “MODE” key to
select “FM tuner” category, press the
“MODE” key to enter FM tuner mode.
FM Scan and Saving – When a FM sign
appears on the screen, the built-in FM
tuner is receiving program from pre-stored
radio station: jog “MODE” key to scroll
through all pre-stored radio channels.

switch to FM scan status,
1) Automatic scan and Store: under FM
tuner status press “MODE” key and
switch to the Auto Scan . Auto scanning
will stop when a radio frequency is
searched clearly, then press the “MODE”
button to switch to FM store status, a
“SA?” sign will flash on the screen. Press
button to select a channel you want to
save the frequency searched and press
the
button again to confirm saving. An
“OK!” sign will appear on the screen after
successfully stored.
2) Inching scan and Store: press the
button briefly to start the inching scan to
search the desired frequency, every time
you jog the “MODE” button, the FM tuner
skip 0.1 MHz frequency forward or
backward. After a desired frequency is
searched, press the “MODE” key and
switch to FM store status, a “SA?” sign
will appear on the screen. press the
button to select a channel you want to
save the frequency searched and press
the
button again to confirm saving. An
“OK!” sign will appear on the screen after
successfully saving.
Exit FM - Press the “MODE” key and
enter to the sum-menu and select either
“Play Music”
either other items then you have already
exited FM.
5. Setting
Equalizer - When the MP3 player is

under Music mode “Play” status. press the
“MODE” key to enter the “Setting” menu.
Jog the “Mode” key to select “Equalizer” and
press the “Mode” key to enter.
Jog the “Mode” key to select
POP/ROCK/CLASSICAL/JAZZ/BASS/NOR
MAL, once a certain mode is selected, the
corresponding symbol
POP/ROC/CLA/JAZ/BAS/NOR will appear
on the LCD screen accordingly.
Repeat - When the MP3 player is under
Music mode “Play” status. press the
“MODE” key to enter the “Setting” menu.
Jog the “MODE” key to select “Play Mode”
and press the “MODE” key to enter.
Normal: The MP3 player will play from the
first song to the last song by a normal order
and stop after all songs finish.
Repeat One: The MP3 player will
continuously play the current song till
manually stopped.
Shuffle Repeat: The MP3 player will play
all the songs stored in the built-in memory in
a random order.
Repeat All: The MP3 player will
continuously play all the songs stored in the
built-in memory till manually stopped.
Intro: The MP3 player will play the first 10
seconds of each song and skip to the next
one till all songs finish.
Contrast - Select “Contrast” under
“Setting” menu and press the “Mode” key to
confirm.
Jog the “Mode” key to select from level 1 to

level 6, press the “MODE” key to confirm
after a desired contrast ratio is selected.
Backlight - Select “Backlight” under
“Setting” menu and press the “MODE” key
to enter.
Jog the “MODE” key to select from “Always
off” to “5 sec.” “10 sec.” to “Always on” and
press the “MODE” key to confirm.
For example, when “5 sec.” is selected, that
means the backlight will automatically go off
after 5 seconds any keys are pressed.
Power set –Select “Power set ” under
“Setting” menu and press the “MODE” key
to enter.
Jog the “MODE” key to select Disable/2
Min/10 Min/30 Min. Press the “MODE” key
to confirm .
If there is no operation after the auto power
off time customized, the MP3 player will be
power off automatically. This function helps
to save the battery power.
Language - Select “Language” under
“Setting” menu and press the “Mode” key to
confirm. Jog the “Mode” key to select
“English”, “Dutch” or “French” etc. and press
the “Mode” key to confirm which language
you want to display.

Erase Files
1) When the MP3 player is under “Play music”
status or “Play voice” satus, press the
“MODE” key to enter the menu. Jog the
“MODE” key to select “FOLDER” and press

the “MODE” key to enter.
2) Jog the “MODE” key to select “Play” or
“Delete?” and press the “MODE” key again to
select “delete”. Then “Yes” & “No” would
displayed on the LCD screen. Press “MODE”
key again to select “Yes” or “No”. When
“No” is selected, the MP3 player will return to
former palying mode, when “Yes” is selected,
the current file will be deleted.
CONNECTING THE MP3 PLAYER
WITH PC
1. Installing the Drivers
If your computer is running Windows 98 /
98SE you will need to install the driver from
the supplied CD Rom. To do this, load the CD
Rom and follow the on-screen instructions..
If your computer is running Window ME/
2000/ XP/ Mac OS 9.2.2 or above, you do not
need to install the drivers or any other special
software.
2. Connecting to PC
The following procedure is an example based
on a computer running Windows XP. It
assumes that your PC is already powered on.
1. Plug the MP3 Player into one of your PC’s
USB ports either directly or using the USB
extension cable supplied. The following
graph will appear on the LCD screen to
indicate the MP3 player is successfully
connected with PC:

Meanwhile, a
signal will show on the
right lower corner of your PC.
2. A window will open on your PC’s task bar
stating that new hardware has been found
and that it is a mass storage device. This will
then change to a message stating that the
new hardware is ready to use.
3. Open “My Computer” on your PC. You
should see the new device listed in your disk
drives.
NOTE: If the new drive is not listed it may
be necessary to restart your computer.
4. Operations of transferring files from MP3
player/PC to PC/MP3 player are just same as
transferring files between local hard drives.
Also you can delete the files same as you do
in the local hard drives.
NOTES: Do not disconnect your MP3
player while files are being transferred as
this will corrupt the data.
5. Once you finished the operation between
the MP3 player and your PC, click on the
“remove hardware safely” icon on the PCs
task bar. A window will open and the USB
mass storage device will be listed. Click on
the USB mass storage device. The PC will
then state when it is safe to remove the
hardware.
