Charging the Belkin QODE Ultimate
Keyboard Case
IMPORTANT: Before using your Belkin QODE Keyboard, make sure to disconnect the Bluetooth®
devices previously connected to it. Also, if the keyboard layout of your device is different from that of
your Hardware Keyboard, you must change the keyboard language to update the output. Modifying
only the iPad® or mobile phone language, will not change the keyboard output. For more

Charging the Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case is easy with its micro-USB cable. The Belkin
QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case variants are the following:



Belkin F5L151 (for iPad Air®)
Belkin F5L178 (for iPad Air® 2)
Belkin F5L149 (for iPad® 4th and 3rd generations and iPad® 2)
To charge the Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case, connect one end of the micro-USB cable to
the QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case and connect the other end to a computer or to a USB wall
adapter. Make sure that the cable is in good condition and both ends are properly connected.
The indicator lights of the Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard will indicate when it is time to charge.


If it has low battery charge – An orange indicator light will flash once every second for
1 minute.
If it is charging – The orange indicator light turns ON during charging and turns OFF when
charging is complete.
QUICK TIP: The Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case requires approximately 2.5 hours of
charging for first time use. The keyboard will be in standby mode after 10 seconds of inactivity to
prevent the battery's power from draining.

Bluetooth®
Whenever you need to use a different tablet with your Belkin Keyboard, pairing must be
performed to ensure that your keyboard is in control of the correct device.
IMPORTANT: Before using your Belkin QODE Keyboard, make sure to disconnect the Bluetooth®
devices previously connected to it. Also, if the keyboard layout of your device is different from that of
your Hardware Keyboard, you must change the keyboard language to update the output. Modifying
only the iPad® or mobile phone language will not change the keyboard output. For more information

The steps below will guide you on how to properly pair your device with the keyboard via Bluetooth.
NOTE: Make sure the keyboard and tablet are close to each other before pairing.

On your iPad tap the

A code will appear on the screen. Enter this code on the keyboard and press [Enter].
A message will pop up when pairing is successful.

Open the Settings on your phone.
Step 2:
Switch Bluetooth to ON.
Step 3:
Turn ON the keyboard then press and hold the Pair key.

Turn ON Bluetooth connection in Settings > Bluetooth on your Android device, then scan for
nearby devices.
Step 5:
Select Belkin Bluetooth Keyboard.
The Android device will notify you when the pairing is successful. If pairing fails, switch the keyboard
OFF and ON before repeating the steps above.

Step 1:
Charge the Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case for approximately 2.5 hours before first use. For

Step 2:
Insert the iPad and snap the clasps.
You have now successfully set up the Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case.
Connecting the Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case
Step 1:
Adjust the iPad to your preferred viewing angle.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the magnet at the bottom of the screen connects to the magnet on
the base.
Step 2:
On the keyboard, hold down the fn and <...> pair buttons to connect to your iPad, or from the Home
screen, tap the Settings icon.
Step 3:
On the Settings menu, tap Bluetooth.
NOTE: On some iPad versions, from the Settings menu, tap General > Bluetooth.
Step 4:
Tap the toggle switch to turn ON Bluetooth.
Step 5:
The keyboard will show up under Devices on the tablet. Select Belkin Ultimate Keyboard to
connect.
NOTE: This process may take some time.
Now that you've successfully connected to your iPad, the keyboard will automatically turn ON when
the case is set to the viewing position.
NOTE: If your iPad’s Bluetooth is turned ON, the Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case will
automatically turn ON. If you will use another iPad, you will have to connect to the Keyboard Case
again.
