Overview
The Absolute Acoustics® NDS-UM44 is a HDMI/HDMI matrix switcher with 4 inputs and 4 outputs capable of transmitting audio,
video, and control signals from any source to any display. As an exclusive feature, UM44 extracts digital audio from each HDMI input,
for direct connection with audio distribution systems.
With a range of exclusive technologies, UM44 offers advanced features for distributing HDMI signals, such as native support for
UHD/4K resolutions, high definition audio formats, and compliance with the new HDCP 2.2 copy protection standard, making it
perfect for deployment of multimedia distribution systems in residential or corporate environments. Additionally, all inputs and one
output zone of UM44 have HDMI audio breakout, extracting the digital audio contained in the HDMI signal into a pair of RCA connectors.
UM44 can be controlled manually via front panel buttons or remotely, by sending IR or RS232 codes. When connected to an Ethernet
network, it can also be controlled over Telnet protocol, or through its web interface - which also works as an easy way to perform all
settings. And further expanding the range of features, UM44 can act as an automation hub, forwarding commands received on its
control ports via HDMI-CEC to devices connected on each of its outputs.

The Crestron® RMC3 is a compact and cost-effective 3-Series Control
System® designed to provide control and monitoring for a single display
device, a small AV system, lighting and shading, climate control, security,
energy management, and many other specialized applications. Its tiny form
factor allows it to be placed just about anywhere with the option to attach
it to a flat surface or DIN rail using the mounting bracket provided. It can
fit easily behind a video display or above a projector, and provides enough
control ports to control the display device along with a screen or lift.
Cresnet® and Ethernet connectivity provides full support for the full line of
Crestron touch screens, keypads, dimmers, shades, thermostats, and other
peripherals. Featuring the 3-Series® control engine, the RMC3 provides a

3-Series® Control Systems
Today’s commercial buildings and custom homes comprise more
technology than ever before, and all these systems need to be networked,
managed, and controlled in fundamentally new ways. The IP based
3-Series platform is engineered from the ground up to deliver a networkgrade server appliance capable of faithfully handling everything from
lighting and AV system control to total building management.
3-Series embodies a distinctively robust, dynamic, and secure platform
to elevate your system designs to higher levels of performance and
reliability. Compared to other control systems, Crestron 3-Series provides
a pronounced increase in processing power and speed with more memory,
rock solid networking and IP control, and a unique modular
programming architecture.
Modular Programming Architecture (Optional [1])
This optional add-on enables high-speed, real-time multitasking to allow
the RMC3 to run multiple programs simultaneously. With this add-on,
programmers can develop and run independent, device-specific programs
for lighting, shades, HVAC, security, AV, etc., allowing for the optimization of
each program, and allowing changes to be made to one program without
affecting the whole. Even as your system grows, processing resources
can easily be shifted from one 3-Series processor to another without
rewriting any code. The end benefit is dramatically simplified upgradability
with minimal downtime, whether implementing changes on site or
remotely via the network.[1]
Robust Ethernet & IP Control
IP technology is the heart of 3-Series, so it should be no surprise that its
networking abilities are second to none. High-speed Ethernet connectivity
enables integration with IP-controllable devices and allows the RMC3 to be
part of a larger managed control network. Whether residing on a sensitive
corporate LAN, a home network, or accessing the Internet through a cable
modem, the RMC3 provides secure, reliable interconnectivity with IPenabled touch screens, computers, mobile devices, video displays, media
servers, security systems, lighting, HVAC, and other equipment — whether
on premises or across the globe.

control your entire residence or commercial facility using the one device
that goes with you everywhere.
Crestron Fusion® Cloud
Crestron Fusion Cloud provides an integrated
platform for creating truly smart buildings that save energy, enhance
worker productivity, and prolong the life-span of valuable equipment.
As part of a complete managed network in a corporate enterprise, college
campus, convention center, or any other facility, the RMC3 works integrally
with Crestron Fusion Cloud to enable remote scheduling, monitoring, and
control of rooms and technology from a central help desk. It also enables
organizations to reduce energy consumption by tracking real-time usage
and automating control of lighting, shades, and HVAC.
SNMP Support
Built-in SNMP support enables integration with third-party IT management
software, allowing network administrators to manage and control Crestron
systems on the network in an IT-friendly format.
Cresnet®
Cresnet provides a dependable network wiring solution for Crestron
keypads, lighting controls, shade motors, thermostats, occupancy sensors,
and other devices that don’t require the higher speed of Ethernet. The
Cresnet bus offers easy wiring and configuration, carrying bidirectional
communication and 24VDC power to each device over a simple 4-conductor
cable.[2] To assist with troubleshooting, the RMC3 includes our patentpending Network Analyzer which continuously monitors the integrity of the
Cresnet network for wiring faults, marginal performance, and other errors.
Onboard Control Ports
In addition to Ethernet, the RMC3 includes a variety of control ports for
interfacing with third-party equipment. A single bidirectional COM port
(RS-232/422/485) and two IR ports allow for interfacing with AV devices,

small appliances, and other equipment. Two programmable relay ports are
provided for controlling projection screens, lifts, power controllers, and
other contact-closure actuated equipment. Two digital input ports enable
the integration of power sensors, motion detectors, door switches, alarms,
anything else that provides a dry contact closure or low-voltage
logic signal.
BACnet™/IP
Native support for the BACnet/IP communication
protocol provides a direct interface to third-party building management
systems over Ethernet, simplifying integration with HVAC, security, fire &
life safety, voice & data, lighting, shades, and other systems. Using
BACnet/IP, each system runs independently with the ability to
communicate together on one platform for a truly smart building.[3]
Power over Ethernet
Using PoE technology, the RMC3 gets its operating power right through
the LAN wiring. PoE (Power over Ethernet) eliminates the need for a
local power supply or any dedicated power wiring. A PoE Injector
(PWE-4803RU [4]) simply connects in line with the LAN cable at any
convenient location. Crestron PoE switches (CEN-SW-POE-5 or
CEN-SWPOE-16 [4]) may also be used to provide a total networking solution
with built-in PoE.
Integrator Friendly Enclosure
The RMC3 features the Crestron IFE form factor, a compact “Integrator
Friendly Enclosure” design that fits almost anywhere and enables a variety
of installation options. Its shape allows multiple RMC3s and other IFE
compliant devices to be stacked together. Using the included mounting
bracket, it can be fastened to any flat surface or snapped onto a standard
DIN rail. Rack mount and pole mount kits are also available.[4]

1. To enable Modular Programming Architecture (MPA) on the RMC3 requires the purchase of
one SW-RMC3-10PROG license. The license enables support for running up to 10

2. The NET (Cresnet) port on the RMC3 is a 3-pin connector which provides connectivity for

Introduction
Absolute Acoustics® NDS-SS21HD-Kit is a multi-format switcher designed to manage audio and video signals in corporate meeting
rooms. Its design combines digital and analog connections, providing native support for devices with different capabilities.
The NDS-SS21HD-Kit is composed of two units. The first is a transmitter/extender (TX) device, SS21HD-TX, with HDMI and VGA +
analog audio inputs, that switches and converts all input media to HDBaseT. The second unit is the receiver (RX) device, SS21HD-RX,
that converts the signals back to HDMI and analog audio. The VGA input is processed by a high quality video scaler, delivering a better
signal on the device output, and in the ideal resolution for the system display. For the HDMI input, a set of EDID modes is available for
configuration, adapting the device for different kinds of applications.
NDS-SS21HD-Kit can be controlled manually using its front panel buttons or by sending IR/RS232 codes. The extender also works
automatically, through the SmartSwitch™ algorithm, that selects the last connected source for display. The NDS-SS21HD-Kit also
features the CEC Bridge™ technology, which enables sending CEC commands for display control, without the need of third-party
control devices.

Installation Instructions
QUICK SETUP GUIDE
1. Begin with the NDS-SS21HD-Kit and all external devices
turned off with power cables removed.
Warning
All devices should be unplugged from
electrical supply prior to begin the
installation. Damages caused due to misuse
are not covered by the product warranty.
2. Place NDS-SS21HD-Kit at the installation site, allowing
space for ventilation.
3. Connect the source devices to the input ports of the
NDS-SS21HD-TX.
4. Connect the display and audio system to the output ports
of the NDS-SS21HD-RX. Connect both units using an Ethernet cable, refer to the section ”about HDBaseT cable“ for
more information
Tip
Before permanently securing the unit for
final installation, test for proper operation
of the unit and cables in your system.
5. [Optional] Connect the control system to RS232 port of the
NDS-SS21HD-Kit.
6. Connect power to the TX or RX unit. Do not apply power
to both units to avoid damages. The PoC features transmits
power over the CAT6 cable.
7. Power on external devices.
ABOUT HDBASET™ CABLING
Sending HDMI signals (specially at 4K/UHD resolutions) through HDBaseT™ technology is highly sensitive to the quality of cabling and
installation techniques. Thus, we strongly recommend the use of solid conductor CAT 6 twisted-pair cables (or better). The
transmission distances for each kind of cable are listed in the table below.

SMART SWITCHING
Each NDS-SS21HD-Kit performs automatic switching by default: the last source connected to any of its inputs will be selected for
displaying. When the source currently on display is removed, the device performs a search on the other input. To enable or disable
automatic switching system, hold the SWITCH button until the AUTO indicator on front panel becomes active or inactive.
Note: Some devices continue to send the Hot Plug signal even when in standby mode and can be erroneously recognised as active
sources.

VGA SCALING
In addition to the analog-digital conversion, the VGA input of NDS-SS21HD-Kit is processed by a video scaler, delivering a better
quality signal on the device's output. The scaling resolution can be selected by pressing the RESOLUTION button on the device's front
panel, or by sending a RS232 command. The matching LED indicator shows the currently selected resolution.

Features Configuration
HDMI AUDIO DE-EMBEDDING
NDS-SS21HD-Kit can extract the digital audio contained in the output HDMI signal and convert it to an analog stereo audio connection, located on the RX unit. The audio extraction function requires the input audio signal to be in the format 2 Ch PCM 32-192kHz @
16-24 bits
Note: if the input signal is in multichannel PCM format, the analog audio outputs will only reproduce audio from left and right
channels.
CONTACT CLOSURE AND OUTPUT (CCI/CCO)
You can connect a contact closure button or device to the NDS-SS21HD-TX CCI input and get
the feedback on the other end, as the RX unit will close its CCO output when the CCI is
shorted. This might be a handy feature when you want to trigger commands on a third-party
control system, by pressing a physical button on a tabletop interface or on a conference table.
The illustration shows the proper cable assembly.

CEC BRIDGE
NDS-SS21HD-TX can control connected displays by sending commands in the HDMI-CEC standard. Commands to turn on and off the
display are sent automatically when a new source is connected to the device, and when the device does not detect any signal on its
HDMI output for a specified amount of time. Additionally, custom HDMI-CEC commands can be sent through a specific function of the
device’s RS232 control protocol. The configuration commands of the CEC Bridge functions are accessible via the device’s RS232 control
protocol.
Note: the operation of CEC Bridge depends on the availability of HDMI-CEC functions on the controlled display. Depending on the
brand/model, some functions may not be available or work correctly. Automatic CEC commands are sent by default, but can be disabled by sending RS232 commands. Refer to the equipment’s RS232 control protocol guide, available at www.absoluteacoustics.com for

Product overview
The HPE OfficeConnect 1920 Switch Series consists of advanced smart-managed
fixed-configuration Gigabit switches designed for small businesses in an easy-to-administer
solution. By utilizing the latest design in silicon technology, this series is one of the most power
efficient in the market.
The series has 9 switches: four non-PoE models and five PoE+ models. All models are equipped
with additional Gigabit SFP ports for fiber connectivity. The 8-, 24- and 48-port PoE+ models
are available with PoE or without PoE.
The series is part of the OfficeConnect portfolio of Hewlett Packard Enterprise small business
networking products. These switches provide a great value, and includes features to satisfy
even the most advanced small business networks. All models support rack mounting or
desktop operation. Customizable features include basic Layer 2 features like VLANs and link

aggregation, as well as advanced features such as Layer 3 static routing, IPv6, ACLs, and
Spanning Tree Protocols. HPE OfficeConnect 1920 Switch Series includes a Limited Lifetime
Warranty. This warranty provides advance hardware replacement with next business day
shipment in most countries, limited 24x7 telephone support available from HPE for the first
90 days, and limited electronic and business hours telephone support is available from HPE for
the entire warranty period.

Overview
4-bay and 8-bay Networked Charging Stations charges up to 4 or 8 ULXD6 or ULXD8 transmitters that are equipped with the SB900A rechargeable battery. The
transmitters simply slide into the charger; no need to remove the SB900A battery. When the Chargers are connected to a network, charging status of transmitters
can be viewed remotely and settings or firmware can be updated while transmitters are in the charger, using Shure Wireless Workbench, SystemOn software or
third-party room control systems.
