Step 1: Education - Workshop: Azure for SQL on IaaS
The Fast Start – Azure for SQL on IaaS workshop section aims at introducing the customer to the
basics of deploying SQL Server instances and understanding the requirements for SQL Server
running on IaaS. Additionally it provides you with assistance on creating and deploying SQL
Server on IaaS. Microsoft will also help you to understand key principles in running SQL on IaaS,
configuring virtual machines, and creating storage accounts needed for backup on Azure
Storage.
Each section is designed to provide participants with in-depth expertise, tools to help them
quickly acquire knowledge and skills to design and deploy on Microsoft Azure. A number of
technology focused demos augment the materials.

This workshop runs for about 10 hours.

Step 2: Onboarding Accelerator: Azure for SQL on IaaS
The Fast Start – Azure for SQL on IaaS Onboarding Accelerator section aims at introducing
customer to the basics of deploying SQL Server instances and understanding the requirements
for SQL Server running on Azure IaaS.
A Microsoft engineer will be by your side to show you how to build different types of SQL backup
scenarios and migrate an existing SQL database to Azure. This section runs about 20 hours
