Product:
Soudal MS Seam sealant is a high quality,
completely neutral, single component fully elastic
seam sealant. It is based on MS-Polymer®.
Shelflife:
12 months in unopened packaging in a cool and dry
storage place at temperatures between +5°C and
+25°C.
Characteristics:
Professional OEM-like finish
High adhesion strength on most substrates
High performance mechanical properties
Permanent elastic after curing
Can be painted wet-on-wet with waterborn
paints
Free of silicone, solvent and isocyanate
Colourfast
UV resistant
Resistance to chemical agents:
Good resistance to water, mineral oils, grease,
diluted inorganic acids and alkalis
Poor resistance to aromatic and aliphatic solvents,
concentrated acids, concentrated alkalis and
chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Applications:
For the sealing of welding seams and sheet
metal connections in the trunk, the motor area,
in wheel bases, around suspensions and on all
welding seems
Protection of welding points
Corrosion protection on spoilers, car trunks and
wheel bases etc.
Substrates:
Type: various substrates such as steel, metal,
galvanized metal and other common materials in
the automotive industrie.
Not suitable for PE and PP
State of Surface: clean, free of dust and grease
Priming: Surface Activator may be used to clean
and pre-treat non-porous surfaces.
We recommend preliminary compatibility tests prior
to application.

Applying the sealant:
Method: MS seam sealant can be applied by
means of a special telescopic pneumatical
caulking gun. Both in beads and in various types of
coating.
Application temperature: +5°C until +35°C
Cleaning: MS Seam Sealant can, before the
sealant is cured, be removed from tools and
materials with Soudal Fix All Cleaner. Cured
sealant has to be removed mechanically.
Tooling: with soapy solution before skin formation
Repair with: MS Seam Sealant
Health- and Safety Recommendation:
Apply the usual industrial hygiene.

Remarks:
Soudal MS Seam Sealer may be overpainted
with most types of lacquer used in industrial
applications, however due to the large number
of paints and varnishes available we strongly
suggest a compability test before application.
The drying time of alkyd resin based paints
may increase.
Soudal MS Seam Sealer can be applied to a
wide variety of substrates. Due to the fact that
specific substrates such as plastics,
polycarbonate, etc, may differ from
manufacturer to manufacturer, a preliminary
adhesion test with these materials is
imperative.
