Intel Omni-Path Director Switch Series
The Intel® Omni-Path Director Switches are based on the Intel® Omni-Path Architecture. The Intel® Omni-Path Architecture is
designed for interconnecting the High Performance Computing (HPC) system resources, using a scalable, 100 Gbps, low-latency
fabric. The Intel Omni-Path Director Switches effectively supports clusters with thousands of servers; larger fabrics are possible when
the Director Switches are combined with the Intel® Omni-Path 1U Edge Switches.
The Intel Omni-Path Switch is ideal for customers who deploy high-performance computing (HPC) clusters based on HPE ProLiant
XL and DL Servers using the Intel Omni-Path technology.

Parts and Materials
Hewlett Packard Enterprise will provide HPE-supported replacement parts
and materials necessary to maintain the covered hardware product in
operating condition, including parts and materials for available and
recommended engineering improvements.
Parts and components that have reached their maximum supported lifetime
and/or the maximum usage limitations as set forth in the manufacturer's
operating manual, product QuickSpecs, or the technical product data sheet
will not be provided, repaired, or replaced as part of these services.
The defective media retention service feature option applies only to Disk or
eligible SSD/Flash Drives replaced by Hewlett Packard Enterprise due to
malfunction.

The Managed Switch has the Pluggable Q7 Intel® Atom™ processor-based board for the embedded
fabric management solution. The Q7 management card in Managed Switch enables serial console as well
as Ethernet for out-of-band management via robust CLI and GUI, and enables embedded fabric
manager to be run within the switch.
The Intel® Omni-Path Fabric Suite Fabric Manager (FM) solution can be deployed as either a host-based
or an embedded solution. The host solution uses the Intel® Omni-Path Fabric stack running on a Linux
Server to access, and manage the fabric. The embedded solution resides on an internally managed
switch.
The host FM can manage both small and large fabrics. It is ideal for managing large fabrics, as the FM
software is able to make use of the large memory resources and high speed processor technology of
standard servers.
The embedded FM is able to manage small to moderate-size fabrics up to 100 nodes.
