The Kingstone monitoring system offers real-time simultaneous signal monitoring and analysis on multiple return and forward paths of HFC
networks. The DS1610 system is capable of capturing any transient noise and ingress noise and includes alarm setting, data storage, data analysis,
data comparison in 3D and video recording, simplifying the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of HFC networks. The user is also able
to log in through any PC, enabling remote monitoring of the plant.

The DS2400Q is a multifunction instrument, which supports QAM
constellation and analog signals for CATV networks. It is the ideal tool
for initial network construction, for subscriber installations as well as
for service and troubleshooting tasks. Its ruggedized design, which
includes a shock protector, combined with icon display GUI and auto
pass/fail specified limit feature provides increased efficiency and
productivity for all types of technicians.
Other features such as return path & forward spectrum scan, 12
favorite tilt frequencies, AC line voltage test, HUM and DC voltage
measurements, combined with complete data logging and a
management software, makes this unit a versatile tool for cable
installations.
MER, PRE & Post BER measurements and BER statistics feature allows
quick testing of loose connections related to pixelating or slow DS
internet data flow. This function can identify mismatches caused by
open coaxial lines or corroded devices.

Five Multi-user Defined Channel Plans

QAM Analysis and Channel Measurements
User-defined Tests
Several technicians or contractors work with more than one HFC network
and it is very practical to have different channel lineups to choose from.
The unit allows up to five (5) different user defined channel plans.
Analog, digital and custom frequencies can be configured in the unit
by using the automated learned channel plan from an RF drop or by
downloading from the PC file using the Toolbox software. The user can
select up to 12 frequencies in each of the 5 user defined plans and assign
them to a favorite/tilt channel plan.
MER plus PRE & Post BER measurements with a several time slots
(5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 2 hours, 6 hours, 12
hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours) can be analyzed with the DS2400. This
includes viewing of the constellation diagram. The unit is compatible
with 16/32/64/128/256 QAM modulation and provides power
measurements feature of QPSK and COFDM digital carriers.
Spectrum Analysis and Measurements
The auto test simplifies the test by displaying pass/fail results. The pass/
fail limit can be set for Power levels, MER, PRE-BER, POST-BER, Spectrum
Analysis, Tilt, and HUM measurements. With its simple save function,
the technician will no longer be required to manually take note of the
results. As a result, more installations or service calls may be performed
in a day. Additionally, every measurement is recorded; there is no room
for errors. This forces performance accountability of each location, thus
avoiding churn, which may be costly to the organization.
The five (5) channel plans and the ability to group various tests, which
can be performed with a simple icon selection, enables the technician
to be very efficient and productive. The tests include Level, Tilt, Spectrum
Analysis, HUM and Performance related Test Limits for both analog and
digital carriers.
Once the test data results are stored in the instrument, they can be
recalled, viewed, and analyzed.
The DS2400Q has a spectrum mode, which allows viewing of the full
spectrum. For troubleshooting reverse path challenges, the unit can set
to display 5 to 65 MHz frequency spans providing an additional feature
to the technician when dealing with upstream data signals. The marker
function is included with the spectrum mode and transient anomalies
can be captured with the max hold feature.
File Management - Test Data Storage
The DS2400Q supports 160 channels scanning function allowing
testing the flatness and the amplitude of the HFC network quickly.
With the help of the marker, the technician can quickly determine
the anomalies related to mismatches caused by poor grounding or
damaged transmission lines.
Voltage Measurement - Battery and Charging
Full Spectrum Scans with Marker Feature
HUM Network Measurement
The Hum measurement helps the technician identify and troubleshoot
anomalies which may result from defective capacitors, faulty line
splitters, or couplers due to lightning or excessive current overloads.
Both 60 & 120 Hz tests are performed w/400Hz LPF measurements.
Several test data can be saved and stored as analog carriers or
frequencies, QAM carriers or digital frequencies, channel scan, tilt,
frequency spectrum measurement and HUM.
The results are saved in the File Directory menu, with name of the file,
time and date. These data records may be uploaded to a PC with the
Toolbox software for reports, analysis, and printing.
The unit can measure battery voltage, trunk & distribution line voltage of
the cable system, identifying AC or DC automatically. With the intelligent
power management system, the battery provides approximately 5 hours
of continued operations when fully charged.

High-Speed Spectrum Analysis
The DS2500Q offers enhanced spectrum analysis performance
with a frequency range of 4MHz ~ 1000MHz and sensitivity to
signals as low as -55dBmV (@300KHz).
The DS2500Q also offers Digital HUM distortion measurement,
from the fundamental frequency to 4th harmonic components.

DVB-C Signal Analysis

EVS In-service Interference Detection
Upstream Signal Generator
The Error Vector Spectrum feature can find interference
signals under a QAM carrier without service interruptions.
The Upstream signal generator can generate a CW carrier or
a QAM signal. A sweeping mode is also available.

Cable Modem Measurement
The DS2500Q incorporates a standard DOCSIS 3.0 cable
modem, compatible with DOCSIS 1.X, 2.0 & 3.0. The built-in
modem supports 8x DS and 4x US bonded carriers. Figure 8
(below) shows the CM statistical info screen - including
downstream signal level, modulation type, bandwidth,
symbol rate, MER, BER, upstream signal level, symbol rate,
& UCD (Upstream Channel Descriptor). Users can select
the desired DOCSIS mode, downstream channel, and
UCD. Basic network test tools include Ping, Traceroute,
PPPoE, FTP, and Browser.

Auto Test
The DS2500Q comes equipped with a wide range of regionstandard channel plans spanning (in part) North America,
Asia, and Europe, as well as several sets of limit profiles allowing users to design automatic tests. Tasks that can be
automated include Analog TV, Digital TV and Cable Modem
testing. Once the analyzer completes an auto test, all items
in the test results will indicate Pass or Fail according to the
limit profile. Results are automatically saved for later analysis.

Cable Modem Measurements
Auto Test
The DS2580C incorporates a standard DOCSIS 3.0 cable
modem, compatible with DOCSIS 1.X, 2.0 & 3.0. The built-in
modem supports 8x DS and 4x US bonded carriers. Figure 8
(below) shows the CM statistical info screen - including
downstream signal level, modulation type, bandwidth,
symbol rate, MER, BER, upstream signal level, symbol rate,
& UCD (Upstream Channel Descriptor). Users can select the
desired DOCSIS mode, downstream channel, and UCD.
Basic network test tools include Ping, Traceroute, PPPoE,
FTP, and Browser.
The DS2580C comes equipped with a wide range of regionstandard channel plans spanning (in part) North America,
Asia, and Europe, as well as several sets of limit profiles,
allowing users to design automatic tests. Tasks that can be
automated include Analog TV, Digital TV, and Cable Modem
testing. Once the analyzer completes an auto test, all items
in the test results will indicate Pass or Fail according to the
limit profile. Results are automatically saved for later analysis.

Error Vector Spectrum (EVS) Analysis
Gated Measurement
The error vector spectrum analysis is new to handheld instruments.
With EVS, the user can quickly detect and identify interference from the
fast growing LTE network. This type of interference typically cannot be
seen with frequency domain measurements as the interference signal
is too weak.
The Gated measurement enables the engineer run in-service C/N,CSO,
CTB measurements.

Upstream Spectrum Persistence Technology
DVB-C Signal Analysis
The new spectrum persistence analysis enables in-service detection of
transient noise and impairments hiding beneath the upstream signal.
Traditionally, troubleshooting the upstream channels is done by finding
a free upstream spectrum. However, with the introduction of DOCSIS
3.0, the upstream channel is now extremely crowded, making it difficult
to distinguish the upstream signal from the interference signal. The
new persistence analysis facilitates finding impairments such as CPD
and impulse noise with a color coded spectrum display.
DS2800 supports ITU-T J.83 Annex A/B/C standards. The test
automatically provides power level, MER, BER, constellation
measurements.

Equalizer, Frequency Response and Group Delay Analysis
In a cable TV network, the most common signal impairments come from
impendence mismatch and filters. Impendence mismatch can cause
serious micro-reflection, which can overlay the transmission signal. This
results in amplitude fluctuations or standing waves, which can affect
signal quality. The equalizer, frequency response and group delay
analysis are the best tools to troubleshoot these linear distortions.

The DS2800 includes a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem which supports 4
bonded upstream channels and 8 downstream channels. It is also
compatible with DOCSIS 1.x and 2.0. The measurement displays
statistics such as downstream signal level, modulation type, bandwidth,
symbol rate, MER, BER and upstream signal level, modulation type,
bandwidth, symbol rate, UCD (Upstream Channel Descriptor), standard.
User can change MAC address, choose DOCSIS mode, downstream
channel and UCD. Basic network test tools include: Ping, Traceroute,
PPPoE, FTP and Browser.

Reverse Path Sweep and Upstream
Spectrum Verification
With DS1610 broadband network monitor system DS2800 can run
reverse path sweep. DS2800 can use these test results to draw the
frequency response curve. This curve describes fromDS2800 position
(Field) to DS1610 position (Headend) return path frequency response.
DS2800 use FSK function connection to DS1610 can look at you test
port upstream spectrum.
Auto Test
The auto test on the DS2800 runs through a pre-configured test with the
push of one button. The user can create test profiles that define a test
procedure with pass/fail limits. This simplifies test result interpretation
and ensures consistent testing. Even an inexperienced user can run
the test and verify that the installation is up to the same specification as
others. The results are then saved automatically.

Upstream Signal Generator
Upstream signal generator can generate both sine wave and QAM
signals. The QAM signal has FEC coding, which supports both Annex A
and B. The USG is useful for pre-qualifying new installations and new
frequencies with an actual signal.
Asset and Test-Data Management Software
Deviser’s newly launched asset and data management system, SYNCOR
enhances work efficiency by allowing the user to manage test profiles,
sending work orders to the instrument and managing test results and
reports.

TV Monitoring
S7000 provides analog and digital TV monitoring. It supports video
decoding standards with DSP Technology: MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and H.264
for 1080i, 720p and 576i, and PAL/NTSC/SECAM color

S7000 is a handheld TS analyzer. It provides TR101 290 3 level monitoring and list PSI/SI and program PID of transport stream. S7000 also lists
the details of all programs running in a TV network or a transponder. The TS is from RF signal or TS-ASI input. S7000 has 8GB hard disk to save TS file
and can replay and analysis TS file.
