Thank you for choosing the VES-8X2. The VES-8X2 is
Lanner’s flagship Micro ATX COM Express Type 2 carrier
board. It is a standard Micro ATX size carrier board which
allows embedded application developers to deploy
their applications quickly on the COM Express modular
platform.

Description
PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse
A print port connector in D-sub 25-pin, female form
An RS-232 Serial Port and VGA connector. In additional
to this COM1 port, there is a COM2 port capable of RS232/422/485 mode (refer to JCOM1 and JRS422/1 pin
headers in Chapter 3).
One RJ-45 (network) jacks with LED indicators as
described below
LINK/ACT (Yellow)

I2C interface for panel parameter EEPROM.
This EERPOM is mounted on the LVDS
receiver. The data in the EEPROM allows the
COM Express module to automatically set the
proper timing parameters for a specific LCD
panel.

Terms and Conditions
Warranty Policy
1. All products are under warranty against defects in
materials and workmanship for a period of one year
from the date of purchase.
Terms and Conditions
RMA Service
Requesting a RMA#
1. To obtain a RMA number, simply fill out and fax the
“RMA Request Form” to your supplier.
2. The customer is required to fill out the problem code
as listed. If your problem is not among the codes listed,
please write the symptom description in the remarks
box.
2. The buyer will bear the return freight charges for
goods returned for repair within the warranty period;
whereas the manufacturer will bear the after service
freight charges for goods returned to the user.
3. Ship the defective unit(s) on freight prepaid terms.
Use the original packing materials when possible.
3. The buyer will pay for repair (for replaced components
plus service time) and transportation charges (both
ways) for items after the expiration of the warranty
period.
Note: Customer is responsible for shipping
damage(s) resulting from inadequate/loose
packing of the defective unit(s). All RMA# are valid
for 30 days only; RMA goods received after the
effective RMA# period will be rejected.
4. If the RMA Service Request Form does not meet the
stated requirement as listed on “RMA Service,” RMA
goods will be returned at customer’s expense.
4. Mark the RMA# clearly on the box.
5. The following conditions are excluded from this
warranty:
Improper or inadequate maintenance by the customer
Unauthorized modification, misuse, or reversed
engineering of the product Operation outside of the
environmental specifications for the product.
