Baumer EIL580P-T incremental encoder offers precise optical sensing with a wide range of programmable pulses per revolution (1 to 65536) and a variety of output signal options (TTL or HTL). Its compact size and through-hollow shaft design make it suitable for applications with space constraints or where shaft mounting is required. With a high protection rating of IP67 and resistance to shock and vibrations, it ensures reliable operation in demanding industrial environments.

Duty cycle
The duty cycle (D) is defined as the time ratio between the HIGH pulse duration (H) and the pulse period (T).
System-induced and depending on the pulse number, the measured values may vary which has an impact on speed and position acquisition.
Binary pulse numbers are recommended for speed feedback.
