14 Installation: Wall Mounted Kiosk

14.1 Recommendation for wall mounting

WARNING

WARNING!

Risk of injury! Failure to observe the following installation instructions may result in serious injury if the unit falls over.

WARNING

Danger of damage and injury! Whenever work of any kind is done on the device, as well as when data cables are plugged and unplugged, the device must be completely disconnected from the line voltage.

WARNING

Danger of damage and injury! Check the quality of the wall first (appropriate and professional basic structure) and be sure the used screws and dowels can guarantee a secure holding of the system.

14.2 Hole pattern for wall mounting (dimensions in mm)

14.2.1 15” and 19” BEETLE /iScan EASY eXpress+

37

BEETLE/ iSCAN EASY eXpress+

Use four screws of max. 6mm in diameter and suitable dowels depending on the structural conditions on site. The 19” BEETLE /iScan EASY eXpress+ weighs approx. 30kg, while the

15” BEETLE /iScan EASY eXpress+ weighs approx. 28kg. The wall mount itself weighs approx. 3kg.

14.3 Recommended materials

The suggested dowels and screws from the table are usable for the specified wall type. Due to variations of walls it is necessary to check the compatibility of the screws, dowels and the wall material including substructure on installation site. The wall and used fixation material must hold a weight of minimum 250 kg. For e.g. wood wool slab or insulated planking no secure wall-mounting is possible.

When wooden substructure is detected on one or more fixing points the hexagon head screw

DIN 571 – 6 x 50 can be used directly without a dowel, BUT to avoid cracks a pilot hole with

21.1 General Information

 Always turn off the system before cleaning.

 The glass surface of your Touch Screen and the scanner window should be cleaned with a mild, abrasive-free, commercially available glass cleaning product.

NOTICE

Wrong maintenance may cause damages to the screen, which are not covered by warranty.

 All pH neutral materials (pH 6 to 8) are good for cleaning. Cleaners with pH values 9 to 10 are not recommended. Cleaning with water and isopropyl alcohol is possible as well.

 Do not use solvents containing acetic acid.

 Use a soft, fine-meshed cloth to clean the surface. Dampen the cloth slightly and then clean the screen and the scanner window.

 Clean the housing with a vacuum cleaner or soft cloth.

21.2 Maintenance and Service

The system must be disconnected from the mains before working on components and modules that are electrostatically charged.

21.3 Housing
