Benelli Armi S.p.A. guarantees its shotguns and rifles against manufacturing and material defects limited to metal parts and components with the BE.S.T.

treatment. The product covered by the warranty will be repaired free of charge - with the exception of any shipping costs borne by the owner - by the

Benelli Service Centre in Urbino or other authorised Benelli Service Centres. Under no circumstances shall the buyer be entitled to the replacement of the whole firearm . Excluded from this warranty are all damages caused by negligence, lack of maintenance, tampering, repairs carried out by unauthorised personnel, the use of ammunition that does not comply with International Standards, ammunition filled and/or refilled manually, improper use of the weapon, not in accordance with the warnings in the Use and Maintenance manual or otherwise caused by factors not falling within the normal use/operation of the firearm.

POSSESSORI E GLI UTILIZZATORI DI

ARMI DA FUOCO.

SI PREGA DI LEGGERE

NON PUNTARE MAI L’ARMA CON -

TRO UNA DIREZIONE CHE NON

SIA PIÙ CHE SICURA.

Non puntare mai la canna dell’arma contro sé stessi o contro un’altra persona.

Questo è di basilare importanza quando si carica o scarica l’arma. Quando ci si accinge a sparare ad un bersaglio, accertarsi di cosa vi sia dietro di esso. I proiettili possono superare 1,5 km di distanza. Se si manca il bersaglio o se il proiettile lo trapassa, dovete accertarvi che lo sparo non abbia causato danni o lesioni a qualcuno.

2. MANEGGIARE SEMPRE L’ARMA

COME SE FOSSE CARICA.

Mai dare per scontato che l’arma sia scarica. L’unico modo sicuro per accertarsi che l’arma abbia la camera vuota è quello di aprirla e verificare visivamente e fisicamente che non vi siano presenti proiettili. Rimuovere o scaricare il serbatoio non significa che l’arma sia scarica o non possa sparare. Fucili e carabine possono essere controllati rimuovendo tutti i proiettili e successivamente aprendo ed ispezionando la camera di scoppio in modo tale da poter effettuare un’ispezione completa ed assicurarsi che non vi siano rimasti colpi all’interno.

La custodia dell’arma in una cassetta di sicurezza apposita in acciaio sarebbe l’ideale per ridurre la probabilità che minori o persone non autorizzate possano utilizzare l’arma in modo improprio.

4. MAI SPARARE CONTRO SPECCHI

D’ACQUA O SU SUPERFICI DURE.

Sparare contro specchi d’acqua, contro una roccia o altre superfici dure aumenta il rischio di rimbalzi o frammentazione dei proiettili, che può voler dire colpire bersagli non voluti o limitrofi.

3. CUSTODIRE L’ARMA IN UN LUO -

GO SICURO E NON ACCESSIBILE

AI BAMBINI.

E’ vostro compito assicurarvi che i minori o altre persone non autorizzate non abbiano accesso all’arma. Per ridurre il rischio di incidenti ai minori, scaricate l’arma, mettetela sotto chiave e riponete le munizioni in una separata sede e sempre sotto chiave. Non affidarsi esclusivamente ai dispositivi di sicurezza al fine di prevenire incidenti. E’ di assoluta importanza che codi sicurezza dell’arma che state maneggiando; gli incidenti comunque, posso-

LE PROCEDURE DI UN MANEGGIO nosciate ed osserviate le caratteristiche no essere maggiormente evitati se si

seguono le procedure di un maneggio sicuro dell’arma, contenute nelle regole di sicurezza e all’interno di questo manuale.

Per familiarizzare ulteriormente con l’uso appropriato di questa o altre armi, si consiglia di seguire un corso sulla sicurezza delle armi tenuto da un professionista del settore, esperto in tecniche d’uso e procedure di sicurezza.

6. CONSERVARE L’ARMA IN MODO

APPROPRIATO.

Custodire l’arma in modo che non si accumuli sporco o polvere nelle parti meccaniche. Seguendo le istruzioni contenute in questo manuale, pulire e lubrificare l’arma dopo ogni utilizzo per prevenire corrosione, danni alla canna o accumulo di impurità che possano impedire all’arma di funzionare in caso di necessità. Controllare sempre l’interno e la camera di scoppio prima di caricare l’arma per accertarsi che siano puliti e privi di ostruzioni. Sparare quando vi siano ostruzioni nella canna o nella camera di scoppio può causare l’esplosione della canna e ferire voi o altre persone vicine. Nel caso si avverta un rumore anomalo durante lo sparo smettere immediatamente di sparare, mettere la sicura e scaricare l’arma.

Accertarsi che la camera e la canna siano libere da eventuali ostruzioni, come ad es. un proiettile bloccato all’interno della canna a causa di munizioni difettose o inadatte.

7. UTILIZZARE MUNIZIONI APPRO -

PRIATE.

Utilizzare solo munizioni di fabbrica, nuove munizioni realizzate secondo le seguenti specifiche industriali: CIP (Europa e altri paesi), SAAMI® (U.S.A.).

Assicurarsi che i proiettili siano del calibro o del tipo adatti all’arma utilizzata. Il calibro dell’arma è contrassegnato chiaramente sulla canna del fucile o sul carrello o canna della pistola.

L’utilizzo di munizioni ricaricate o ricostruite può aumentare la probabilità di pressione eccessiva sulla cartuccia, esplosione del fondello o altri difetti delle munizioni che possano causare danni all’arma e ferire voi o altre persone vicine.

8. INDOSSARE SEMPRE OCCHIALI

DI PROTEZIONE E TAPPI PER LE

ORECCHIE QUANDO SI SPARA.

La probabilità che gas, polvere da sparo o frammenti metallici colpiscano e feriscano il tiratore mentre spara, è remota, ma nell’evenienza che questo succeda, i danni possono essere gravi, inclusa la possibilità di perdere la vista. Quando spara, il tiratore deve sempre indossare occhiali di protezione ad alta resistenza. Tappi per le orecchie o altri tipi di protezione di alta qualità aiutano a ridurre il rischio di danni provocati dallo sparo.

9. NON ARRAMPICARSI MAI SU AL

CON L’ARMA CARICA.

Aprire e svuotare la camera dell’arma e mettere la sicura prima di arrampicarsi o scendere da alberi o prima di scavalcare re-

BERI, RECINZIONI O OSTACOLI cinti o saltare fossati o altri ostacoli.

Non tirare o spingere l’arma verso se stessi o verso un’altra persona. Scaricare sempre l’arma e controllare visivamente e fisicamente che il serbatoio, il meccanismo di ricarica e la camera siano scarichi e che l’arma abbia l’otturatore aperto prima di darla in mano ad un’altra persona. Non prendere mai un’arma da un’altra persona a meno che non sia scarica, controllata fisicamente e visivamente per accertarsi che sia effettivamente scarica e comunque prendere l’arma solo se aperta.

10. EVITARE L’USO DI BEVANDE AL -

COLICHE O MEDICINALI CHE POS -

SANO DIMINUIRE I RIFLESSI E

L’AUTOCONTROLLO MENTRE SI

SPARA.

Non bere quando si spara.

Se si assumono medicinali che possano diminuire i riflessi o l’autocontrollo, non maneggiare armi mentre si è sotto l’effetto del medicinale.

11. NON TRASPORTARE MAI UN’AR -

MA CARICA.

Scaricare sempre l’arma prima di riporla in un veicolo (camera e serbatoio vuoti). Cacciatori e tiratori devono caricare l’arma una volta giunti a destinazione, e solo quando sono sul punto di sparare. Se si detiene un’arma per difesa personale, lasciare la camera scarica riduce la possibilità di uno sparo involontario.

Avvertenza: è VOSTRA responsabilità conoscere e rispettare le leggi locali e statali che regolamentano il commercio, il trasporto e l’uso delle armi nel vostro paese.

Avvertenza: questa arma può togliere la vita a voi e agli altri! Siate sempre estremamente attenti nel maneggiare l’arma. Un incidente è quasi sempre la conseguenza del mancato rispetto delle norme di sicurezza dell’arma.

12. AVVERTENZE SULL’ESPOSIZIONE

AL PIOMBO.

Scaricare l’arma in aree con scarsa ventilazione, pulire armi o maneggiare munizioni può comportare una esposizione al piombo e ad altre sostanze che possono causare danni alla respirazione, danni all’apparato riproduttivo ed altri gravi danni fisici. Sostare sempre in

Prima di effettuare qualunque tipo di intervento sull’arma, accertarsi sem pre che camera di scoppio e caricatore siano completamente vuoti!

(Leggere attentamente le istruzioni di caricamento e scaricamento dell’arma).

Avvertenza: Prima di utilizzare il fucile, rimuovere il copricanna di plastica (fig. 1).

1. Svitare il cappellotto fissaggio astina .

2. Impugnare con una mano il gruppo calcio-carcassa-otturatore-astina e con l’altra, agendo sull’astina, portare l’otturatore in posizione di apertura.

Avvertenza: Se l’otturatore non rimane agganciato, agire sull’apposita leva e ripetere l’operazione.

Durante le successive operazioni, l’otturatore deve essere completamente assemblato e alloggiato nella carcassa, rimanendo sempre in posizione di apertura

(tutto indietro).

3. Impugnare con una mano il gruppo calcio-carcassa-otturatore-astina, prendere con l’altra il gruppo canna-culatta, infilare l’anello tenone sul tubo serbatoio fino ad infilare il prolungamento della culatta sulla carcassa.

4. Quando il prolungamento della canna

(culatta) è a contatto dell’otturatore, allineare accuratamente la canna (tacca di mira o bindella) con il prolungamento della linea di mira sulla carcassa.

5. Con il prolungamento canna in appoggio sull’otturatore e la testina di chiusura alloggiata nella sede ricavata nel prolungamento canna, spingere a fondo la canna nella carcassa: uno scatto metallico vi segnalerà il corretto assestamento della canna.

Attenzione: Assicurarsi sempre che il prolungamento della canna non batta contro la testa di chiusura dell’ottura tore.

6. Inserire il cappellotto spingi cartuccia all’interno del tubo serbatoio.

7. Prendere la molla serbatoio ed inserirne un’estremità nel tubo serbatoio.

8. Prendere il cappellotto fissaggio astina e montarlo sulla prolunga serbatoio; inserire il tappo prolunga serbatoio ed infilare poi l’assieme sull’estremità libera della molla serbatoio, fino ad inserirla completamente nella prolunga stessa.

9. Avvitare il cappellotto-prolunga sul tubo serbatoio fino a battuta, bloccando definitivamente il gruppo canna-culatta-astina.

10. Infilare l’assieme croce unione canna-prolunga sulla prolunga serbatoio, fino a portarlo sull’apposita sede di arresto e bloccarlo in tale posizione avvitando la sua vite di fissaggio (coppia di serraggio consigliata: 4 Nm ).

Attenzione: Durante questa fase di montaggio tenere leggermente allargati i bordi estremi della croce, in modo che si infili sulla prolunga tubo serbatoio senza strisciarla.

11. Chiudere l’otturatore dell’arma premendo l’apposito bottone comando elevatore ed azionando l’astina.

Sicura del fucile

Inserire la sicura a traversino posta sulla guardia: a sicura inserita non si deve ve dere l’anello rosso indicante la posizione di “sparo” (fig. 2 -3).

Caricamento

Prima di effettuare qualunque tipo di intervento sul fucile, accertarsi sem pre che camera di scoppio, elevatore e serbatoio siano completamente vuoti!


Procedura di caricamento

Soluzione indiretta

Avvertenza: l’arma deve essere in sicura e con cane armato per consentire l’inserimento delle cartucce nel serbatoio

(avviso rosso di cane armato visibile).

1. Con otturatore chiuso e cane armato, capovolgere l’arma in modo che l’aper tura inferiore della carcassa sia accessibile .

2. Infilare una cartuccia nell’apertura e inserirla nel tubo serbatoio, finché la leva fermo cartuccia non la trattenga automaticamente e la tenga in posizione.

3. Ripetere l’operazione finché il serbatoio non sia completamente caricato.

Il fucile non è pronto allo sparo finché una cartuccia non venga incamerata secondo le seguenti procedure:

4. Spingere verso l’alto la leva di sgancio dell’otturatore e arretrare l’astina completamente per aprire l’otturatore. Una cartuccia verrà sganciata dal tubo serbatoio direttamente nell’elevato re, sollevata e inserita nella camera quando l’otturatore viene chiuso fa cendo scorrere l’astina completa mente in avanti. La camera è ora ca ricata con una cartuccia pronta per lo sparo .

Avvertenza: Il fucile sparerà se la sicu ra è disinserita (in posizione di “spa ro”) e viene premuto il grilletto. Osser vare tutte le norme di sicurezza.

Ora, se si desidera, potrà essere inserita nel serbatoio una nuova cartuccia.

Soluzione diretta

1. Spingere verso l’alto la leva di sgancio otturatore e arretrare l’astina completamente per aprire l’otturatore . Inserire una cartuccia attraverso la fine stra di espulsione nella carcassa e chiudere l’otturatore spostando l’a stina in avanti.

La camera è ora caricata con una cartuccia per lo sparo .

2. Capovolgere l’arma in modo che l’a pertura inferiore della carcassa sia accessibile .

3. Posizionare una cartuccia nell’aper tura e inserirla nel tubo serbatoio finché la leva fermo cartuccia non la trattenga automaticamente e la tenga in posizione. Ripetere l’operazione finché il serbatoio non sia completamente caricato.

Sparare col fucile



Avvertenza: Osservare tutte le istru zioni sulla sicurezza riportate all’inizio di questo manuale.

1. Portare il bottone della sicura sulla posizione di “fuoco” .

2. Posizionare il dito sul grilletto e tiratelo all’indietro per sparare.

3. L’otturatore si sbloccherà automatica mente dopo lo sparo.

4. Spostando l’astina completamente indietro si estrae ed espelle la cartuccia sparata e una nuova cartuccia scen derà direttamente dal serbatoio nell’elevatore.

5. Spostando completamente l’astina in avanti, viene incamerata la nuova cartuccia per lo sparo.

6. Il grilletto deve essere rilasciato per ritornare nuovamente nella sua posizione prima di sparare il colpo successivo.

7. Premendo il grilletto viene sparato il colpo incamerato e il ciclo può essere ripetuto fino a quando tutte le cartucce caricate nel fucile non sono state sparate.

8. Dopo lo sparo: inserire la sicura (posizione “ON”), aprire l’otturatore facendo scorrere l’astina completamente indietro, controllare visivamente e fisicamente la camera, l’elevatore ed il serbatoio per accertarsi che l’arma sia completamente scarica .

Sostituzione cartuccia

(Operazione da effettuarsi con fucile in sicura - vedi “Sicura del fucile” - e canna orientata in direzione di sicura prudenza)

È possibile sostituire la cartuccia in camera di scoppio con una cartuccia del serbatoio o con altra cartuccia non prelevata dal serbatoio ma introdotta manualmente in canna.

In relazione al tipo di funzionamento dell’arma selezionato, si può procedere nel seguente modo:

1. Aprire , tramite arretramento dell’astina, l’otturatore ; la cartuccia in camera di scoppio viene estratta ed espulsa dall’arma mentre la prima cartuccia del serbatoio scende automaticamente sul cucchiaio elevatore.

2. Riportare l’otturatore in posizione di chiusura tramite la stessa asta di armamento; mentre torna in chiusura, l’otturatore incamera la cartuccia precedentemente scesa sul cucchiaio elevatore e si arresta in posizione di chiusura.

Sostituzione con cartuccia non in serbatoio

1. Spingere l’elevatore internamente all’arma ed aprire contemporaneamente l’otturatore, tramite arretramento dell’asta di armamento; la cartuccia in camera di scoppio viene estratta ed espulsa dall’arma mentre dal serbatoio non scende nessuna cartuccia.

2. Introdurre anche parzialmente in camera di scoppio la nuova cartuccia attraverso l’apposita finestra di espulsione bossoli e riportare l’otturatore in posizione di chiusura tramite la stessa astina; mentre torna in chiusura, l’otturatore incamera la nuova cartuccia parzialmente introdotta in canna e si arresta in posizione di chiusura.

Scaricamento dell’arma

(Operazione da effettuarsi con fucile in sicura - vedi “Sicura del fucile” - e canna orientata in direzione di sicura prudenza)

Per scaricare il fucile, in relazione al tipo di funzionamento selezionato con il commutatore, agire nel seguente modo:

1. Inserire la sicura dell’arma ed aprire, tramite arretramento dell’asta d’armamento, l’otturatore; la cartuccia in camera di scoppio viene estratta ed espulsa dall’arma mentre la prima cartuccia del serbatoio scende automaticamente sul cucchiaio elevatore.

2. Riportare l’otturatore in posizione di chiusura , tramite la stessa asta di armamento; mentre torna in chiusura, l’otturatore incamera la cartuccia scesa sul cucchiaio elevatore e si arresta in posizione di chiusura.

3. Ripetere le operazioni sopra indicate fino ad esaurimento delle cartucce in serbatoio; espulsa l’ultima cartuccia, l’otturatore resterà automaticamente agganciato in posizione di apertura.

4. Per riportare l’otturatore in posizione di chiusura è necessario premere l’apposito bottone comando elevatore ed azionare l’astina in avanti.

Attenzione: durante queste operazioni

- anche se l’arma è in sicura (vedi “Si cura del fucile”) - è opportuno orienta re la canna in direzione di sicura prudenza.

Inconvenienti e rimedi


Assicurarsi che la sicura sia inserita e che la bocca del fucile sia puntata in una direzione di sicura prudenza.


Se il fucile non spara

Avvertenza: in caso di inceppamento, tenere la bocca dell’arma puntata in direzione di sicura prudenza prima di effettuare qualsiasi tipo di intervento.

1. Controllare la sicura : se inserita, spingere il pulsante a traversino nella posizione di fuoco.

2. Aprire l’otturatore per accertarsi che sia stata caricata una cartuccia. Controllare per accertarsi che ci sia una cartuccia nella camera. Se necessario, inserire una cartuccia seguendo le istruzioni di caricamento.

3. Durante il montaggio dell’arma, accertarsi che il cappellotto fissaggio canna sia ben avvitato alla canna , in modo che la canna sia completamente fissata alla carcassa.

4. Se l’arma non funziona correttamente, accertarsi che sia scarica e che la sicura sia inserita.

Munizioni da usare

Il funzionamento dell’arma è garantito con cartucce di lunghezza massima 58 mm (camera 2” 3/4 - 70 mm), 66 mm (camera 3” -

76 mm), a chiusura orlata o stellare e caricate con pallini sia di piombo che di acciaio.

Benelli consiglia l’utilizzo di munizioni caricate a pallini per le canne con bindella e le munizioni a palla per le canne slug.

Questa indicazione non è obbligatoria ma assicura il raggiungimento delle migliori prestazioni.

Gli strozzatori * (full), ** (Imp. Mod.) ed

AMPLIATOR non sono raccomandati per l’uso con pallini di acciaio.

Avvertenza: non usare mai cartucce con bossolo la cui lunghezza superi quella della camera di scoppio!

La mancata osservanza di questa re gola comporta gravi conseguenze sia per il tiratore che per l’arma.

Manutenzione

Avvertenza: prima di iniziare questa procedura, inserire la sicura, aprire l’otturatore, controllare visivamente e fisicamente la camera, l’elevatore ed il serbatoio per accertarsi che l’arma sia completamente scarica.

Tenere sempre l’arma puntata in una direzione di sicura prudenza. In caso contrario, si potrebbero verificare le sioni gravi o la morte della persona in teressata o di altre persone. Indossare occhiali protettivi per evitare potenzia li lesioni provocate da componenti di piccole dimensioni o detergenti.

Canna

Rimuovere la canna per la pulizia dell’interno, in modo che l’asta di pulizia possa essere inserita dall’estremità della camera. Lasciare il tubo strozzatore montato nella canna, per evitare di contaminare i filetti con residui di polvere. Pulire con un solvente per armi reperibile in commercio. Applicare un leggero strato di olio per armi all’interno della canna e sulle superfici metalliche esterne per proteggerle dalla corrosione.

Assieme grilletto

Pulire il gruppo con solvente per armi.

Asciugare con aria compressa, se disponibile. Oliare leggermente per prevenire la corrosione. Asciugare.

Attenzione: non utilizzare quantità ec cessive di olio che trattengono la spor cizia e altri contaminanti.

Gruppo otturatore

Smontare, pulire con solvente, oliare leggermente e asciugare.

Attenzione: non utilizzare quantità ec cessive di olio nel foro del percussore.

Usare un lubrificante specificamente prodotto per l’uso a temperature sotto zero quando si utilizza l’arma in condi zioni di freddo estremo.

Per la pulizia degli altri componenti dell’arma (calcio e astina in legno, in tecnopolimero e camouflage o verni ciati), Benelli suggerisce l’utilizzo di prodotti specifici, evitando che queste parti vengano a contatto con olii con tenenti solventi o sostanze chimiche in genere, che potrebbero provocare distacco o variazione delle superfici.

Procedura di smontaggio

Canna

1. Per rimuovere la canna, svitare il cap pellotto di fissaggio e la prolunga del tubo serbatoio .

2. Premere la leva arresto dell’otturatore e tirare parzialmente indietro l’astina per liberare l’otturatore dalla prolunga culatta.

3. Tenendo la canna, tirarla in avanti lungo il tubo serbatoio fino a quando l’anello tenone disimpegna il tubo serbatoio . Sollevare leggermente la canna verso l’alto e lontano dal tubo serbatoio e farlo scorrere in avanti.

4. Usando un cacciaspine (non in dotazione), premere il perno di fissaggio guardia sul lato della carcassa, fino ad estrarlo.

5. Ruotare il fucile in modo che la guardia sia rivolta verso l’alto.

6. Rimuovere il gruppo guardia tirando la guardia verso l’alto e lontano dal fondo della carcassa

7. Svitare completamente il cappellotto fissaggio canna/prolunga e sfilarlo dal tubo serbatoio.

8. Sfilare l’anello serraggio cappellotto dal tubo serbatoio.

9. Impugnare il fucile con una mano e, con l’altra, tirare in avanti la canna facendo scorrere l’anello tenone sul tubo serbatoio fino a smontaggio completo.

10. Sfilare il gruppo astina -bretelle-otturatore dalla carcassa.

11. Separare il gruppo bretelle dal gruppo otturatore.

12. Sfilare il perno arresto percussore dal gruppo otturatore, avendo cura di trattenere il percussore che, diversamente, spinto dalla sua molla di richiamo, cadrebbe a terra.

13. Estrarre dall’otturatore il percussore con la sua molla di richiamo.

14. Togliere il perno rotazione testa di chiusura sfilandolo dalla sua sede.

15. Sfilare la testa di chiusura dall’otturatore.

Prova funzionale

Ogni volta che il fucile viene rimontato a seguito di manutenzione e pulizia, prima di sparare, eseguire una breve prova funzionale “in bianco”, per assicurarsi che tutte le parti e protezioni siano correttamente montate e funzionanti.

Avvertenza: Controllare visivamente e fisicamente la camera, l’elevatore ed il serbatoio per accertarsi che non siano presenti munizioni. Tenere sempre l’arma puntata in una direzione di sicu ra prudenza.

1. Inserire la sicura (posizione “ON”) e chiudere l’otturatore spostando completamente l’astina in avanti. L’otturatore dovrebbe muoversi uniformemente con le bretelle.

2. Senza azionare la leva di sgancio dell’otturatore, tirare indietro l’astina.

L’otturatore dovrebbe rimanere bloccato e non dovrebbe aprirsi.

3. Premere la leva di sgancio dell’otturatore. L’otturatore dovrebbe sbloccarsi.

4. Spostare l’astina tutta indietro e poi tutta avanti. Dovrebbe muoversi libera mente e bloccarsi di nuovo nella posizione chiusa.

5. Con la sicura inserita (posizione

“ON”) , premere il grilletto. Il cane non dovrebbe scendere.

6. Portare il bottone di sicura in posizione di “sparo” (anello rosso visibile) e tirare il grilletto. Il cane dovrebbe scendere e l’otturatore sbloccarsi.

7. Ripetere l’azione spostando l’astina tutta indietro e poi tutta avanti. Assicurar si che l’otturatore si blocchi correttamente. Premere il grilletto. Il cane dovrebbe scendere. Aprire l’otturatore completamente.

Avvertenza: Seguire tutte le istruzioni di sicurezza relative all’inserimento della sicura (posizione “ON”) e tenere la bocca dell’arma rivolta in una dire zione di sicura prudenza.

Istruzioni per l’abbinamento : le lettere identificano i kit piastrino variazione piega

- piastrino di serraggio. Per una corretta piega abbinare sempre piastrini aventi stessa lettera.

Es: C - CDX – per piega 65-DX oppure C

- CSX – per piega 65-SX.

DX = Destro

SX = Sinistro

Il fucile è dotato di un “kit variazione piega”, che permette di variare la configura zione in cui viene fornita l’arma. Il kit è formato da 2 piastrini serraggio calcio (in acciaio) e 4 spessori variazioni piega (in plastica).

Il kit permette di ottenere 5 diverse confi gurazioni di piega (indicate in tabella) e due diverse deviazioni (destro o sinistro).

Ciascun elemento è marcato con la lettera di piega e deviazione corrispondente.

Stabilite se la piega del calcio si adatta perfettamente alla vostra persona, o se sia troppo basso oppure troppo alto.

Se troppo basso, selezionare il set di regolazione precedente in ordine alfabetico

(es.: se lo spessore montato in fabbrica è marcato “C”, passare a quello marcato

“B” ed al corrispondente piastrino di serraggio calcio).

Il procedimento di sostituzione è molto semplice (fig. 4).

1. Esercitare una pressione sul calciolo

“ 1 ” e contemporaneamente imprimere un movimento dal basso verso l’alto

(fig. 5-6).

2. Svitare il dado di bloccaggio calcio “ 2 ”

(chiave esagonale da 13 mm).

3. Sfilare dal tubo guida molla biella il dado

“ 2 ”, la rondella elastica “ 3 ”, il piastrino calcio “ 4 ”, il calcio “ 5 ”, lo spessore deviazione “ 6 ” e lo spessore piega “ 7 ”.

4. Montare sul tubo guida molla biella lo spessore piega selezionato “ 7 ”, con il lato stampigliatura lettera rivolto verso il calcio.

5. Rimontare lo spessore deviazione “ 6 ” con il lato stampigliatura lettera prescelto (DX o SX) rivolto verso il calcio.

6. Posizionare la canna verso il pavimento e montare il calcio, infilare il corrispondente piastrino “ 4 ” nel calcio stesso, con il lato stampigliatura lettera prescelto rivolto verso il calciolo.

7. Montare la rondella elastica “ 3 ” e il dado “ 2 ” sul tubo guida molla biella e serrare a fondo.

8. Per il rimontaggio, è sufficiente premere con forza il calciolo “ 1 ” contro il calcio per farlo entrare nella propria sede (fig. 7).

Avvertenza: utilizzare sempre lo spessore piega “ 7 ”, il piastrino calcio “ 4 ” e lo spessore deviazione “ 6 ” aventi tutti la stessa lettera; esempio C - CDX - DX oppure C - CSX - SX.

L’impiego di componenti con lettere diverse può provocare deformazioni irreversibili sul tubo guida molla con relativi problemi al corretto scorrimento dell’otturatore.

Avvertenza: a sostituzione del calcio avvenuta, assicurarsi che questo sia regolarmente bloccato alla carcassa. Dopo i primi colpi sparati, ripetere il controllo ed in caso di necessità procedere ad ulteriore bloccaggio del calcio stesso, smontando nuovamente il calciolo dell’arma e serrando ancora il dado con l’apposita chiave. Variando la piega del fucile ne avete ovviamente cambiato la posizione di sparo: è opportuno effettuare una serie di tiri per assicurarsi che la nuova configurazione si adatti alla vostra corporatura e al vostro stile.

Attenzione: i calcioli Benelli sono co struiti in materiale morbido che può essere danneggiato superficialmente da un uso improprio, che comporti ec cessiva abrasione ed esposizione a parti taglienti. Tale danno non comporta comunque nessuna limitazione nella funzione di assorbimento del calciolo stesso.

Strozzatore

Avvertenza: in caso sull’arma sia montata una PROLUNGA TUBO SERBATOIO sporgente dalla volata canna, è necessario rimuoverla prima di agire sullo strozzatore.

La canna è dotata di strozzatori intercambiabili.

Prima di riporre l’arma lasciandola inutilizzata per un lungo periodo, è consigliabi le rimuovere , pulire e lubrificare lo stroz zatore e la canna.



Avvertenza: prima di utilizzare l’arma, assicurarsi sempre che la canna abbia uno strozzatore correttamente montato.

Avvertenza: utilizzare solo strozzatori

Benelli della lunghezza adeguata alla sede della canna.

Per cambiare o pulire lo strozzatore agire nel seguente modo:

1. Svitare lo strozzatore utilizzando l’apposita chiave fornita con l’arma e rimuoverlo completamente dalla sua sede nella canna (fig. 8).

2. Qualora la sede filettata dello strozzatore sulla canna sia molto sporca, pulirla.

3. Lubrificare le filettature dello strozzatore, da installare sulla canna, con un lubrificante di buona qualità.

4. Rimontare nella sede canna il tipo di strozzatore desiderato, avendo cura di inserirlo all’interno della canna dalla parte non filettata (fig. 9); avvitarlo poi sul filetto della canna stessa.

Attenzione: uno strozzatore INTERNO installato correttamente non deve estendersi oltre la bocca della canna.

Attenzione: prima di riutilizzare l’arma assicurarsi di aver tolto la chiave per strozzatore dalla volata della canna.

Gli strozzatori Benelli sono marcati per una rapida identificazione (fig. 11 - A).

Dove presenti, le intacche sulla parte frontale di ogni strozzatore (fig. 11 - B) permettono un rapido riconoscimento della strozzatura, anche quando lo strozzatore è montato.

Basic Safety Rules

THE FOLLOWING SAFETY RULES ARE

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER THAT

SHOTGUN SAFETY IS YOUR RESPON-

SIBILITY.

1. NEVER POINT A FIREARM AT

SOMETHING THAT IS NOT SAFE

TO SHOOT.

Never let the muzzle of a firearm point at any part of your body or at another person. This is especially important when loading or unloading the firearm.

When you are shooting at a target, know what is behind it. Some bullets can travel over a mile. If you miss your target or if the bullet penetrates the target, it is your responsibility to ensure that the shot does not cause unintended injury or damage.

2. ALWAYS TREAT A FIREARM AS IF

IT WERE LOADED.

Never assume that a firearm is unload ed. The only certain way to ensure there are no cartridges in a firearm is to open the chamber and visually and physically examine the inside to see if a round is present. Removing or unloading the magazine will not guarantee that a fire arm is unloaded or cannot fire. Firearms and rifles can be checked by cycling or removing all rounds and by then opening and inspecting the chamber so that a visual inspection of the chamber for any remaining rounds can be made.

3. STORE YOUR FIREARM SO THAT

CHILDREN CANNOT GAIN AC

CESS TO IT.

It is your responsibility to ensure that children under the age of 18 or other unauthorised persons do not gain access to your firearm. To reduce the risk of accidents involving children, unload your fire arm, lock it and store location. Please note that devices intended to prevent accidents - for exam-

the ammunition in a separate locked ple, cable locks, chamber plugs, etc., - may not prevent use or misuse of your firearm by a determined person. Fire arm storage in a steel gun safe may be more appropriate to reduce the likelihood of intentional misuse of a firearm by a child or unauthorised person.

4. NEVER SHOOT AT WATER OR AT

A HARD SURFACE.

Shooting at the surface of water or at a rock or other hard surface increases the chance of ricochets or fragmentation of the bullet or shot, which can result in the projectile striking an unintended or peripheral target.

5. KNOW THE SAFETY FEATURES

OF THE FIREARM YOU ARE US -

Never rely solely on a safety device to prevent an accident. It is imperative that you know and use the safety features of the particular firearm you are handling, but accidents can best be prevented by following the safe handling procedures described in these safety rules and

elsewhere in the product manual.

To further familiarise yourself with the proper use of this or other firearms, take a Firearms Safety Course taught by an expert in firearms use and safety proce dures.

6. PROPERLY MAINTAIN YOUR FIRE -

ARM.

Store and carry your fire arm so that dirt or lint does not accumulate in the working parts. Clean and oil your firearm, following the instructions provided in this manual, after each use to prevent corrosion, damage to the barrel or accumulation of impurities which can prevent use of the firearm in an emergency. Always check the bore and chamber(s) prior to loading to ensure that they are clean and free from obstructions. Firing with an obstruction in the barrel or chamber can rupture the barrel and injure you or others nearby. In the event you hear an unusual noise when shooting, stop fir ing immediately, engage the manual safety and unload the firearm. Make sure the chamber and barrel are free from any obstruction, like a bullet blocked inside the barrel due to defective or improper ammunition.

7. USE PROPER AMMUNITION.

Only use factory-loaded, new ammunition manufactured to industry specifica tions: CIP (Europe and elsewhere),

SAAMI® (U.S.A.). Be certain that each round you use is in the proper calibre or gauge and type for the particular fire arm. The calibre or gauge of the firearm is clearly marked on the barrels of fire arms and on the slide or barrel of pistols. The use of reloaded or remanufactured ammunition can increase the likelihood of excessive cartridge pressures, case-head ruptures or other defects in the ammunition that can cause damage to your firearm and injury to yourself or others nearby.

8. ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTIVE

EYEWEAR AND EARPLUGS WHEN

SHOOTING.

The chance that gas, gunpowder or metal fragments will blow back and injure a shooter who is fir ing a gun is rare, but the injury that can be sustained in such circumstances can be severe, including the possible loss of eyesight. A shooter must always wear impact resistant shooting glasses when firing any fire arm. Noise-reducing earplugs or headphones will reduce the risk of damage to hearing caused by prolonged shooting activity.

9. NEVER CLIMB A TREE, FENCE OR

OBSTRUCTION WITH A LOADED

SHOTGUN.

Open and empty the chamber(s) of your fire arm and engage the man-

ual safety before climbing or descending a tree or before climbing a fence or jumping over a ditch or other obstruction. Never pull or push a loaded firearm toward your self or another person. Always unload a firearm, visually and physically check to see that the magazine, loading mechanism and chamber are unloaded, the action is open before handing it to another person. Never take a firearm from another person unless it is unloaded, visually and physically checked to confirm it is unloaded, and the action is open.

10. AVOID ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

OR JUDGMENT/REFLEX IMPAIRING

MEDICATION WHEN SHOOTING.

Do not drink and shoot. If you take medication that can impair motor reactions or judgement, do not handle a firearm while you are under the influ ence of the medication.

11. NEVER TRANSPORT A LOADED

FIREARM.

Unload a firearm before putting it in a vehicle

(chamber empty, magazine empty). Hunters and target shooters should load their firearm only at their destina tion, and only when they are ready to shoot. If you carry a firearm for selfpro tection, leaving the chamber unloaded can reduce the chance of an unintentional discharge.

Warning: Remove the plastic barrel cover before using the shotgun (fig. 1).

1. Loosen the fore-end cap .

2. Grip the stock-receiver-bolt-fore-end assembly in one hand and with the other, move the fore-end to open the bolt.

Warning: If the bolt does not remain open, use the bolt lever, and then repeat the operation. During successive operations, the bolt must be fully assembled and housed in the receiver, remaining in the open position (fully back).

3. Grip the stock-receiver-bolt-fore-end assembly in one hand, and with the other, take the barrel-breech assembly, then slide the ring on the magazine tube until the breech extension can slide over receiver.

4. When the barrel (breech) extension is up against the bolt, carefully bring the barrel (rear sight or rib) into line with the sight line on the receiver.

5. With the barrel extension resting on the bolt and the locking head in the seat inside the barrel extension, push the barrel into the receiver: a metallic click will signal that the barrel is correctly positioned.

Important: Always make sure that the barrel extension does not hit up against the bolt locking head.

6. Insert the magazine follower into the magazine tube.

7. Take the magazine spring and insert one end into the magazine tube.

8. Take the fore-end cap and fit it to the magazine extension; insert the magazine extension cap and slide the assembly onto the free end of the magazine spring, until it is fully inserted into the extension.

9. Screw the cap-extension all the way onto the magazine tube, locking the barrel-breech-fore-end assembly fully into place.

10. Slide the barrel extension cross pin assembly onto the magazine extension, until it is in place on the seat, and lock it into this position by tightening the fixing screw (recommended torque: 4 Nm ).

Important: During this stage of the as sembly, keep the outer edges of the pin slightly widened so that it can slide over the magazine extension tube without scraping it.

11. Close the bolt of the shotgun by pressing the carrier button and engaging the fore-end.

Press the safety button on the trigger guard until it is no longer possible to see the red ring , indicating the “firing” position (fig. 2 -3).

Loading procedure

Indirect solution

Warning: The firearm safety must be in the “on” (safe) position and the hammer cocked to allow cartridges to be loaded in the magazine (the red dot on the bolt release lever must be visible).

1. With the bolt closed and the hammer cocked, turn over the shotgun so the bottom opening of the receiver is ac cessible .

2. Place a cartridge in the opening and insert it into the magazine tube until the carrier latch automatically catches the cartridge and holds it in place.

3. Repeat the operation until the magazine is completely loaded.

The shotgun is not ready to fire until a cartridge is chambered , using the following procedures:

4. Push the bolt release lever up to move the fore-end all the way back to open the bolt. A cartridge from the maga zine tube will be released onto the carrier, lifted, and chambered as the bolt is closed by sliding the fore-end fully forward. The chamber is now loaded with a cartridge for firing .

Warning: The shotgun will fire if the safety is moved to the “fire” position and the trigger is pulled. Comply with all safety rules.

An additional round can now be inserted into the magazine if required.

Direct solution

1. Push the bolt release lever up and bring the fore-end all the way back to open the bolt . Place one cartridge through the ejection port into the receiver and close the bolt by moving the fore-end forward. The chamber is now loaded with a cartridge for fir ing.

2. Turn over the firearm so the bottom opening of the receiver is accessi ble .

3. Place a cartridge in the opening and insert it into the magazine tube until the carrier latch automatically catches the cartridge and holds it in place. Repeat the operation until the magazine is completely loaded.

Shooting with the shotgun

Before carrying out any type of inter vention on the shotgun, always make sure that the chamber, carrier and magazine are completely empty!


Warning: Observe all safety practices at the beginning of this manual.

1. Move the safety button to the “fire” position .

2. Place your finger on the trigger and pull it back to fire the gun.

3. The bolt will unlock automatically after firing.

4. Moving the fore-end fully back will extract and eject the fired round and release a new round from the magazine onto the carrier.

5. Moving the fore-end fully forward will chamber the next round for firing.

6. The trigger must be released and allowed to re-set before the next round can be fired.

7. Pulling the trigger will fire the cham bered round, and the cycle can be repeated until all rounds loaded in the shotgun have been fired.

8. After firing: put the safety in the “ON”

(safe) position, open the bolt by sliding the fore-end all the way back; visually and physically check the cham ber, carrier and magazine to be sure the firearm is completely unloaded .

Cartridge replacement

(Perform this operation with the gun safety catch “on”- see “Shotgun safe ty” - and the barrel pointing in a safe direction)

The round in the chamber may be manually replaced with a different round from the magazine or another round.

Regarding the selected firearm operation, it is possible to proceed as follows:

1. Open the bolt , moving back the foreend; the chambered cartridge is extracted and ejected from the firearm, while the first cartridge in the magazine automatically drops onto the carrier.

2. Move the bolt back to the closed position using the fore-end lever; while it closes, the bolt chambers the cartridge on the carrier and stops in a closed position.

Replacement with a cartridge not from the magazine

1. Push the carrier inside the shotgun and at the same time, open the bolt by pulling the fore-end lever. The cartridge in the chamber is ejected by the extractor but no cartridge is fed from the magazine.

2. Insert the new cartridge, even partially, into the chamber through the ejection port and close the bolt by pushing the fore-end lever forward. When closing, the bolt chambers the partially inserted cartridge and comes to a stop in the closed position.

Unloading the shotgun

(Perform this operation with the gun safety catch “on”- see “Shotgun safe ty” - and the barrel pointing in a safe direction)

To unload the shotgun, depending on the type of bolt selected, follow the steps below:

1. Engage the safety and open the bolt by pulling back the fore-end lever. The cartridge in the chamber is ejected by the extractor and the first cartridge in the magazine is automatically deposited onto the carrier.

2. Close the bolt by pushing forward the fore-end lever. When closing, the bolt chambers the cartridge on the carrier and comes to a stop in the closed position.

3. Repeat the steps above until all the cartridges in the magazine are ejected.

Once the last cartridge is ejected the bolt will automatically remain open.

4. To close the bolt, press the carrier release button, which frees the fore-end to snap forward.

Note: During this operation and even if the safety catch is engaged (see “Shot gun safety”), always point the gun in a safe direction

Troubleshooting

Before carrying out any type of inter vention on the shotgun, always make sure that the chamber, carrier and magazine are completely empty! Make sure that the safety is engaged and that the shotgun is pointing in a safe direction. (Carefully read the instructions for loading and unloading the shotgun).

If the shotgun fails to fire

Warning: in case of jamming, keep the shotgun muzzle pointed in a safe direction before carrying out any type of intervention.

1. Check the safety : if engaged, push the button to the firing position.

2. Open the bolt to make sure that a cartridge has been loaded. Make sure that there is a cartridge in the chamber. If necessary, insert a cartridge, following the loading instructions.

3. During assembly, make sure that the magazine follower is securely screwed to the barrel , so that the barrel is securely fastened to the receiver.

4. If the shotgun does not work correctly, make sure that it is not loaded and that the safety is engaged.

Choice of ammunition

Correct functioning of the shotgun is only guaranteed with cartridges of a maximum length of 58 mm (2” 3/4 - 70 mm chamber) or 66 mm (3” - 76 mm chamber). The shotgun accepts cartridges with rolled turnover or crimped closures, and with lead or steel shot.

Benelli recommends use of shot loaded ammunition for ribbed barrels and balls for slug barrels. These recommendations are not mandatory but will ensure the best possible performance.

Chokes * (full), ** (Imp. Mod.) and AM-

PLIATOR are not recommended for use with steel shot.

Caution: Never use cartridges with a case longer than the chamber!

Failure to comply with this rule will have serious consequences for both the shotgun and the shooter.

All Benelli shotguns undergo a 1370 bar burst test at the Italian National

Proof House in Gardone Valtrompia

(Brescia).

Maintenance

Warning: Before starting any operation on your shotgun, engage the safety catch.

Open the bolt and visually and physically check the chamber, carrier and magazine to make sure the shotgun is completely unloaded.

Always keep the shotgun pointed in a safe direction. Failure to respect this procedure could result in serious injury or death to yourself or others. Al ways wear protective glasses to avoid potential injury from small parts or detergents.

Barrel

Remove the barrel to clean the inside, so that the cleaning rod can be inserted from the end of the chamber. Leave the choke tube fitted to the barrel to prevent any contamination of the threads with powder residues. Clean with a commercially available gun solvent. Apply a light coat of gun oil inside the barrel and on the outer metal surfaces to protect them from corrosion.

Trigger assembly

Clean the assembly with solvent for guns.

Dry with compressed air, if available.

Lightly oil to prevent any corrosion. Dry.

Note: Never use too much oil, as this can trap dirt and other contaminants.

Bolt assembly

Disassemble, clean with solvent, lightly oil and dry.

Important: Never use too much oil on the firing pin hole. Use a lubricant spe cifically made for use at below-zero temperatures when using the shotgun in extremely cold conditions. To clean other parts of the shotgun (stock and fore-end in wood, technopolymer and camouflage or varnish), Benelli sug gests using specific products, making sure that these parts do not come into contact with oils containing solvents or chemicals in general, which may cause the surface to detach or become altered.

Stripping procedure

Barrel

1. To remove the barrel, unscrew the magazine follower from the maga zine tube .

2. Press the stop lever of the bolt and move the fore-end partly back to free the bolt from the breech extension.

3. Hold the barrel, pull it forwards along the magazine tube until the ring disengages the magazine tube . Gently lift the barrel upwards and away from the magazine tube and slide it forwards.

Trigger assembly

4. Use a pin punch (not provided) to press trigger unit fastening pin on the receiver side, until you remove it.

5. Rotate the shotgun so the trigger guard is facing upwards.

6. Remove the trigger guard unit, pulling the guard upwards and away from the bottom of the receiver

Bolt assembly

7. Fully unscrew the magazine follower and slide it out from the magazine tube.

8. Slide out the cap locking ring from the magazine tube.

9. Grip the shotgun in one hand and with the other, pull the barrel forwards, sliding the ring over the magazine tube until it is fully disassembled.

10. Remove the fore-end -bolt-swivel unit from the receiver.

11. Separate the swivel unit from the bolt unit.

12. Pull the firing pin retaining pin out of the bolt unit, being careful to hold the unretained firing pin in place, as it could be pushed out of the bolt by its spring and fall to the ground.

13. Take the firing pin and its retaining spring out of the bolt.

14. Take the locking head rotating pin out of its seat.

15. Slide the locking head from the bolt.

Function test

Whenever the shotgun is reassembled after cleaning and maintenance, a brief function test should be conducted before firing to ensure that all parts and safeties are assembled correctly and functioning properly.

Warning: Visually and physically check the chamber, carrier and maga zine to ensure no ammunition is present. Always keep the shotgun pointed in a safe direction.

1. Engage the safety (“ON” position) and close the bolt by moving the foreend fully forward. The bolt should move smoothly with the swivel.

2. Without activating the bolt release lever, pull the fore-end back. The bolt should remain locked and not open.

3. Press the bolt release lever. The bolt should unlock.

4. Move the fore-end all the way back and then all the way forward. It should move freely and then lock again in the closed position.

5. With the safety engaged (“ON” posi tion) , press the trigger. The hammer should not drop .

6. Move the safety button to the “fire” po sition (red ring visible) and pull the trigger. The hammer should drop and the bolt should unlock.

7. Repeat the bolt, moving the fore-end all the way back and then all the way forward. Make sure that the bolt locks correctly. Press the trigger. The hammer should drop. Open the bolt completely.

Warning: Follow all safety instructions regarding engaging the safety (“ON” position) and keeping the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.

Matching instructions: the drop change shims and stock locking plates in the kit are identified by letters. To ensure a cor rect drop, always use plates and shims with the same letter.

E.g.: C - CDX – for a 65-RH drop or C -

CSX – for a 65-LH drop.

DX = Right hand

SX = Left hand

The shotgun is supplied with a “drop change kit” to adjust the original drop the shotgun is supplied with. The kit consists of two stock locking plates (in steel), plus four drop change shims (plastic).

The kit enables you to obtain 5 different drop patterns (as specified in the table) and two different casts (right hand or left hand).

Each unit is marked with the corresponding drop or cast letter.

Check to ensure your stock drop fits you perfectly, or whether it is either too high or too low for you.

If it is too low, you need to select the previous adjustment set in alphabetical order

(e.g. if the factory-fitted shim is marked with a “C”, you must select the “B”, together with the corresponding stock locking plate).

The replacement procedure is very simple

(fig. 4).

1. Press down on the recoil pad “ 1 ” and at the same time, slide it upwards (fig. 5-6).

2. Loosen the stock retaining nut “ 2 ” (13 mm hex-head wrench).

3. Slide the nut “ 2 ”, the washer “ 3 ”, the stock locking plate “ 4 ”, the stock “ 5 ”, the cast shim “ 6 ” and the drop shim “ 7 ” from the recoil spring tube.

4. Fit the selected drop shim “ 7 ” onto the recoil spring tube with the stamped letter facing the stock.

5. Refit the cast shim “ 6 ” with the chosen stamped letter (DX or SX) facing the stock.

6. Point the barrel towards the floor and fit the stock. Insert the locking plate “ 4 ” in the stock, with the stamped letter facing the recoil pad.

7. Fit the washer “ 3 ” and nut “ 2 ” onto the recoil spring tube and tighten the assembly firmly.

8. For reassembly, it is sufficient to press the recoil pad “ 1 ” against the stock to insert it into its seat (fig. 7).

Warning: always use a drop shim “ 7 ”, stock locking plate “ 4 ” and cast shim “ 6 ” with the same letter; e.g. C - CDX - DX or

C - CSX - SX.

Using component parts with different letters can cause permanent damage to the recoil spring tube and therefore, bolt sliding problems as a result.

Warning: when the stock has been replaced, make sure that it is correctly retained in the receiver. After firing a few rounds, repeat this check and if necessary, lock the stock again, removing the recoil pad and then tightening the nut again with the wrench. By changing the stock drop of the shotgun, you will have changed the firing position: it is advisable to fire a few rounds to make sure that the new configuration is suited to your build and your style.

Note: Benelli recoil pads are made in soft material and it is possible to damage the surface from improper use leading to excessive abrasion and ex posure to cutting edges. This damage does not limit the shock-absorbing quality of the recoil pad.

Choke

Warning: if the shotgun is fitted with a

MAGAZINE TUBE EXTENSION that protrudes from the muzzle, it is necessary to remove this before acting on the choke.

The barrel is provided with interchangeable chokes.

Before storing the shotgun for a long period of disuse, it is advisable to remove , clean and lubricate the choke and barrel.


(Carefully read the instructions for loading and unloading the shotgun).

Warning: before using the shotgun, always make sure that the barrel has been correctly fitted with a choke.

Warning: only use Benelli choke tubes of the correct length to fit the barrel.

To change or clean the choke, proceed as follows:

1. Unscrew the internal choke using the special wrench supplied with the shotgun and completely remove it from its position in the barrel (fig. 8).

2. If the threaded seat of the choke on the barrel is dirty, clean it.

3. Lubricate the threads of the choke tube, to be installed in the barrel, with a good quality lubricant.

4. Fit the required type of choke in its place in the barrel, being careful to insert the threadless end of the choke inside the barrel (fig. 9) before screwing it onto the thread of the barrel.

Important: a correctly fitted INTERNAL choke should not extend past the bar rel muzzle.

Important: before using the shotgun again, make sure that the choke wrench has been removed from the barrel muzzle.

Benelli chokes are marked for easy identification (fig. 11 - A).

Where present, the notches on the front of each choke tube (fig. 11 - B) make it easier to recognize the choke, even when it is fitted.
