Mounting Kit Manual – PN MK2000lit
Issue 0, November 2005
Some HD modules came shipped with feet mounted directly to the bottom of the machine without an Interface Plate (Fig. A, item 1). This mounting kit is required to mount your module on an OD or HD punch. This manual covers all the kits available, if your kit does not have all the parts you require, see your dealer.
Figure A shows you will find all of the parts in the large MK2000 kit. If you have another smaller kit, you did not require all these parts. Since this manual covers all the parts in kit MK2000, the smaller kit parts are covered as they are components of this Kit. This manual will refer back to this figure A to help clarify which parts are identified.

The first step to mounting your module to your punch is to determine which feet your module was shipped with. This will determine which parts to use.
Note in Fig. B, this is an image of the short square feet (1) and the tall round feet
(2).
♦
Short square feet: Attach the Interface Plate (Fig. A, item 1) directly to the bottom of your module with the 4 short flat head screws (Fig. A, item 2) as shown in Fig. B, item 4. An Allen wrench is provided to tighten screws.
♦
Tall round feet: Attach the Interface Plate (Fig. A, item 1) using the longer flat head screws (Fig. A, item 3) with the plastic spacers (Fig. A, item 4) as shown in Fig. B, item 3 between your module and Interface plate. An Allen wrench is provided to tighten screws.

Store the two screws removed from the punch. Locate one of the
Interface Blocks and orient it against the two now-available holes.
Orient the block so that the interface block oval hole (Fig. C & D, item 1) is forward and the counter bores face out. To the right is an example of a counter bore. Use the longer ¼”-20 socket head screws (Fig. A in item 5) provided to secure the block to the machine with the short end of the
Allen wrench. Tighten the rear screw first then the forward screw. Repeat this step on the other side of your punch with the other block.
Fig. C Fig. D
Mount your module onto your punch using the 3-winged knobs (Fig. A, items 6) as shown in Fig. E, item 1. The 3-winged knob can be replaced with the button head screws (Fig. A, items 7) if required.
