AUTOMATIC DIGITAL BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR

Step 1 – Install Batteries

A) Slide battery cover off.

B) Install four (4) “AA” batteries.

Step 3 – Cuff Placement

A) Place cuff on left arm at heart level

(1 in. above elbow joint).

B) Align tubing with middle finger to ensure placement of Artery Mark

(Ø) over the brachial artery.

C) Plug the air tube connector into the air tube socket on the left side of the monitor.

Step 2 – Set Date and Time

A) Hold down the M button until

4 numbers start flashing at the top left.

B) Release the M button.

C) Press the M button repeatedly to change the year while the number is still flashing.

D) Press the button one time to move to the month. Press the

M button repeatedly to change the month, while the number is still flashing.

E) Repeat step D three (3) times for the day, hour and minutes.

F) Press the button once to move to Talking Language selection. Press the M button repeatedly to switch between

OF (Off), 01 (English), and 02

(Spanish).

G) Press the button one time.

Step 5 - Begin Measurement

A) Press to turn monitor on and automatically begin measurement.

Step 4 – Body Placement

A) Sit with feet flat on floor.

B) Place arm, palm-up on flat surface.

C) Ensure cuff is level with heart.

Troubleshooting Guide

1) Does Not Turn On

❏

Check that batteries are inserted.

Check that the battery polarities ( + and symbols) are positioned in the correct direction.

❏

Try inserting new batteries.

2) Inaccurate Reading*

❏

Refrain from eating, smoking and drinking (especially alcoholic beverages) before a measurement. These activities can affect your blood pressure.

❏

Check the cuff for a snug fit that can fit two fingers between the cuff and your upper arm.

❏

Ensure that you are not moving, speaking or repositioning during measurement.

❏

If taking multiple measurements, ensure you are waiting at least 5 minutes between readings.

3) Inflation Problem

❏

Ensure the air tube connector is fully plugged into the air tube socket on the left side of the monitor.

❏

Ensure that cuff is snug enough to where it will not slide up or down the arm.

❏

Confirm that you are remaining still during measurements.

Ensure the cuff is fully deflated before taking a measurement.

❏

Make sure cuff hose remains straight and unkinked during measurement.

*Other things can affect blood pressure values besides those listed here.

IMPORTANT!

You can STOP the inflation or deflation of the cuff at any time by pressing the button.

Paso 3 – Colocación del manguito

A) Coloque el manguito en el brazo izquierdo a la altura del corazón (1 pulgada por encima de la articulación del codo).

B) Alinee el tubo con el dedo medio para asegurarse de que el marcador arterial

(Ø) se encuentre sobre la arteria braquial.

C) Enchufe el conector del tubo de aire en el orificio de acceso del tubo de aire ubicado en el lado izquierdo del monitor.

Paso 2 – Ajuste de fecha y hora

A) Mantenga pulsado el botón

M hasta que 4 números comiencen a destellar en la parte superior izquierda.

B) Suelte el botón M.

C) Pulse repetidamente el botón

M para cambiar el año mientras el número sigue destellando.

D) Pulse el botón una vez para pasar al mes. Pulse repetidamente el botón M para cambiar el mes mientras el número sigue destellando

E) Repita el paso D tres (3) veces para el día, la hora y el minuto.

F) Pulse el botón una vez para pasar a la selección de idioma hablado. Pulse repetidamente el botón M para cambiar entre

OF (Apagado), 01 (Inglés) y 02

(Español).

G) Pulse el botón una vez.

Paso 4 – Ubicación del cuerpo

A) Siéntese con los pies planos en el suelo.

B) Coloque el brazo con la palma de la mano hacia arriba sobre una superficie plana.

C) Cerciórese de que el manguito esté a la altura del corazón.

Paso 5 - Inicie la medición

A) Pulse para encender el monitor e iniciar automáticamente la medición.

Guía para la solución de problemas

1) No se enciende

❏

Verifique que las polaridades de las baterías (símbolos + y )

❏ estén ubicadas en la dirección correcta.

Intente nuevamente con baterías nuevas.

2) Lecturas inexactas*

❏

Absténgase de comer, fumar y beber (sobre todo bebidas alcohólicas) antes de una medición, ya que estas actividades pueden afectar su presión arterial.

❏

Verifique que el manguito calce ajustadamente de modo que quepan dos dedos entre el manguito y la parte superior del brazo.

❏

Cerciórese de no moverse, hablar ni cambiar de posición durante la medición.

❏

Si toma varias mediciones, cerciórese de esperar al menos 5 minutos entre las lecturas.

3) Problema de inflado

❏

Cerciórese de que el conector del tubo de aire esté completamente enchufado en el orificio de acceso del tubo de aire ubicado en el lado izquierdo del monitor.

❏

Cerciórese de que el manguito esté lo suficientemente ajustado de modo que no se deslice hacia arriba o hacia abajo.

❏

Asegúrese de permanecer quieto durante las mediciones.

Cerciórese de que el manguito esté completamente desinflado antes

❏ de realizar una medición.

Cerciórese de que la manguera del manguito permanezca recta y sin doblarse durante la medición.

*Además de lo enumerado aquí hay otras situaciones que pueden afectar los valores de presión arterial.

¡IMPORTANTE!

Puede DETENER el inflado o desinflado del manguito en cualquier momento pulsando el botón .
