™ MECHANISM & LIGHTHEAD SWAP
Lightheads in a 4-Head Warning Stick may be quickly removed and swapped using Q-Lock™ Mechanism.
For 2-Head units, one of the end caps must be removed.
1.
Use a flat-head screwdriver to flip open the Q-Lock™ levers on both sides of the lighthead.
2.
Remove the lighthead by pulling it out slowly and evenly from both sides. Inserting a flathead screwdriver into the Q-Lock slot, and into the side of the lighthead to be removed will ease removal.
3.
Carefully disconnect the lighthead wire from the wire harness. Assess the connector set-up making sure to push the knob, freeing it from the clip side. Do not attempt to pull the connector apart by pulling on the wires.
4.
Connect the new lighthead on to the wire harness. Note the direction and the orientation of the lighthead to ensure the replacement head matches the orientation of other lightheads in the stick. (check wire-exit and lens marking)
5.
Push the lighthead slowly and evenly into place.
6.
Flip and close all Q-Lock™ levers.
