INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE product. The kit may be used for installing seals and bearings into the hubs of most vehicles. It may also be used for pulling hubs where the wheel flange is drilled and tapped so that the road wheel is secured with bolts.

Please read and follow the instructions carefully. In doing so you will ensure the safety of yourself and others around you, and you can look forward to the product giving you long & satisfactory service.

METHOD OF USE

WARNING: THE VEHICLE MUST BE PROPERLY PREPARED, AND

ADEQUATELY SUPPORTED ON AXLE STANDS, ON FIRM LEVEL GROUND,

BEFORE ANY OPERATION USING THIS TOOL IS PERFORMED.

INSTALLING SEALS & BEARINGS

Assemble the parts as shown in the example, selecting the components which fit the job in hand. Ensure the large nut (H) is screwed fully on to the bolt (F), and all components are entirely square before tightening.

HUB PULLING

It is possible to remove a hub from the swivel joint, using the bolts (C) supplied.

The appropriate size bolts are screwed into the holes in the wheel flange, so that they bear up against the surface of the swivel joint.

Screw in the bolts progressively to pull off the hub.

For hubs where the wheel is mounted on studs, a slide hammer type puller must be used.

This product is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt which will be required as proof of purchase.

This guarantee is invalid if the product is found to have been abused or tampered with in any way, or not used for its intended purpose. Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase. No product can be returned to us without prior permission. This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.
