SAS Data Backup Solution of STARDOM is designed for small-medium business, DVR and SOHO who required large storage capacity. With SAS

(Serial Attached SCSI) technology, it can support SAS and SATA hard disks at the same time. Provides 1 Bay, 4 Bays Tower and 4 Bays 1U type option, and connected through SAS cable, you can enjoy the capacity expansion of 4 hard disks at once. If the 4 Bays storage collocates with an RAID device, it will become an RAID storage system immediately.

‧ Supports SAS and SATA Hard Disks

Using SAS hard disk can provide higher usability and better performance of R/W; it is quite suitable for on-line data backup.

Using SATA hard disk can fulfill capacity expansion but with low cost, it is suitable for off-line data backup.

‧ RAID function upgradeable (4 Bays only)

‧ Supports Hot-Swappable

Supports Hot-Swap function, you don’t need to shut down the computer or server when the hard disk be replaced. If you use the

STARDOM newest swappable tray module, you can apply to other STARDOM products to achieve data sharing purpose.

When using SATA hard disk, once the 4 Bays storage collocates with an RAID device (ex: STARDOM

SL5650-4S-L4D), it will become an 8 Bays RAID subsystem.

When using SAS hard disk, you can connect with the SAS HBA card which build up the RAID controller inside, the solution will become an RAID subsystem too.
