SPECIFICATIONS:
3.
Feed the label web from the printer and secure it to the take-up roll core with tape.
Rotate the take-up reel a couple of turns.
4.
Rotate the "TORQUE" Control Know to the minimum position (fully counterclockwise).
5.
Place each TWIN-CAT-2 "DIRECTION" Switch in the position desired to run left or
right.
6.
(if you have the ACH Adjustable Core Holder option Skip to step 4).
1. STANDARD AND 10": Identify the inner Label Flange. Slide the Flange Plate onto
the hollow end of the Rewind Shaft. For maximum width, the Flange face should be
flush with the end of the Shaft. Tighten the screw in the Hub until it is snug. Not too
tight.
Start the printer and adjust the "TORQUE" Control Knob for the desired take-up
tension. The Upper and Lower Spindles are controlled independently and together
can be set to control the rewind / unwind tension and speed.
7.
Use the minimum "TORQUE" setting needed to rewind labels properly. Excessive
torque might pull the labels too hard and cause the printer to lose registration.
2.
CHUCK: Mount the inner Flange onto the Quick-Chuck with two screws provided.
WIND-IN / WIND OUT:
3.
Slide the Shaft and Flange Assembly onto the TWIN-CAT-2 Motor Shafts allowing for
clearance to the TWIN-CAT-2 Chassis and Motor Screws. Tighten the Allen Screw
onto the flat part of the Motor Shaft until it is tight.
4.
ACH: Slide the Hub of the ACH over the motor Shaft of the TWIN-CAT-2. Position the
Hub so there is a gap between the ACH Hub and the Rewinder Drive Unit case.
Tighten the Allen Screw onto the flat part of the Motor Shaft until it is tight.
You can use the Dual Spindles to reverse the direction the labels are facing. You can also
rewind the labels so that they are in the original (serialised) order they came out of the
printer. An optional Adjustable Paper Guide (APG-CAT) can be fitted to help guide the
outer edge of the lower label roll as it rewinds.
5.
Set the TWIN-CAT-2 in place where you want it.
6.
CAUTION: AVOID ACCIDENTS. THE TWIN-CAT-2 WEIGHS OVER 16KG (35Lb),
SO CHOOSE ONLY A STURDY SURFACE ON WHICH TO SET THE UNIT.
7.
Verify that the "DIRECTION" Switches on the TWIN-CAT-2 Control Panel is in the
"OFF" position.
Max. Label Roll Weight: 2 x 5Kg (11Lb) for Standard
Max. Label Roll Size:
220mm (8.5") diameter
Power Supply:
Input: 220-240 VAC – 50-60Hz.
Output: 15VDC – 4.6A
SET-UP:
8. Plug the Power Plug at the end of the wire on the AC Wall Transformer into the
TWIN-CAT-2 Power Input Jack. Plug the AC Transformer into an appropriate AC
power outlet. The unit is now ready for use.
WARNING!
This Product is for indoor use only.
Not for use in wet locations.
LABEL REWINDING:
The TWIN-CAT-2 is bi-directional. Either Spindle can wind labels in either direction.
1. Place the "DIRECTION" Switches on the TWIN-CAT-2 Control Panel in the centre
"OFF" position.
2.
Slide an empty label core over the desired Core until the core is against the inner
Flange Plate. On the Quick-Chuck, tighten the Lock Knob (for an ACH see the ACH
user manual).
EXTERNAL HALT CONTROL:
An External Halt Control jack on the TWIN-CAT-2 is for use with external devices capable
of providing an open circuit halt command. A 3.5mm control cable is necessary for use
(not included).
With Pin 2 and Pin 3 of the External Halt Control circuit closed (connected together using
a 3.5mm dual circuit plug), the TWIN-CAT-2 will operate. When the External Circuit is
opened, the TWIN-CAT-2 will stop.
