Assembly requires a rubber mallet, Phillips screwdriver, spirit level and tape measure.
Installation will require a club hammer or similar and a drill.
1) Tap an end plug into the bottom of each upright. Place two ½” screws in each T joint, but only tighten the screws enough to hold them in. Make sure the screw points do not protrude into the inside of the joints as they will scratch the coating when they are attached to the tubes. (The third hole of each joint is used during final assembly).
2) Tap a T joint onto both ends of the 22½” spacer. Place the bar on a flat surface and make sure the joints are parallel. When the joints are fully connected there should be 18½” of tube left exposed (as illustrated).
18½”
3) Take the four quarter hoops, four of the 21¾” spacers, eight Opto joints and the spacer assembly from above. Refer to the diagrams on the next page and assemble the roof section of the arch. Measure the diagonals to ensure the structure is square. Note that the spacer with the
T joints goes on the side of the arch that will be attached to the wall, as shown in the diagram.
4) Place the assembled roof section in the site you intend to position the arch, so that it is up against the wall and mark out the positions of the two uprights. Use the Holemaker provided to make 15” deep holes at the marks. Ensure the holes are the same depth and vertical.
5) Take the two 84” uprights, the remaining two 21¾” spacer bars and four Opto joints. Place one upright in each hole, end plug down. Check that the tops of the uprights are level. Attach the spacers to the uprights using the joints as shown.
6) Slide a moisture seal onto the top of each upright and connect the roof section onto the uprights. Slide the moisture seals up to cover the tube joins.
7) Connect the 6” tubes into the roof and mark the position of the fixing screws on the wall.
Remove the two 6” tubes and drill the holes. Place a rawl plug in each hole.
8) Slide a moisture seal onto the reduced ends of the 6” tubes and connect them to the roof again.
Slide the moisture seals up to cover the joins and then attach the arch to the wall using the screws and washers provided.

10) Finally place a third screw in each T joint, check that all the joints are fully tightened and that all sections of the arch are level, and make any adjustments necessary.
