Audio and video disruptions may occur during game play due to floor vibrations. Adjust the
location of the High School Musical Dance Pad Controller to correct this problem.

Set up your PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system according to the instructions
supplied with your system. Check that the system is turned on (the on/standby indicator is
green). Insert the Disney High School Musical 3: Senior Year Dance! disc in the system with the
label side facing up. Attach game controllers and other peripherals as appropriate. Follow
the on-screen instructions and refer to this manual for information on using the software.

Memory Card (8MB)(for PlayStation®2)
To save game settings and progress, insert a memory card (8MB)(for PlayStation®2)
into MEMORY CARD slot 1 of your PlayStation®2 system. You can load saved game data
from the same memory card (8MB)(for PlayStation®2) or any memory card (8MB)(for
PlayStation®2) containing previously saved games.

Introduction
Senior Year is here and the time has come for the East High Wildcats to show what they’ve
got in Disney High School Musical 3: Senior Year Dance! Graduation day is fast approaching
and the Wildcats will soon be headed their separate ways. This could be the last chance for
Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad and Taylor to make their dreams come true together.
Dance alongside the stars of East High Senior Class and prove you have what it takes to be
a Wildcat! Move to the rhythm of songs from the latest hit movie or choose your favorites
from the first two movies. Get ready to dance!

Setting up your next dance routine couldn’t be easier! Just use left analog stick or
the µ and ≤arrows on your dance pad, to highlight a menu option, then press the
X button to select it.

Learn how to play the Two Player mode.
Create a new profile, save your current game or
load a current profile. The first time you play the game you can Manage your Profile and take lessons using the
Tutorial. Once you’ve completed the Tutorial, you can begin dancing!
If you have already completed the Tutorial, you can go straight to dancing by selecting
Manage Profile and loading a saved game.

Adjust music and sound effects volume, adjust autosave settings, and calibrate
video/audio lag.

Work your way up through the levels! Choose your difficulty level from either Sophomore,
Junior or Senior.
• You can only play as a Senior after successfully graduating the Sophomore and
Junior levels.
Select a song from the set list to start dancing!
•Unlock new set lists after you play through 4 songs in each set. Once you’ve
earned extra song set lists, press ∫ arrow or ñ arrow on the dance pad or
DUALSHOCK®2 analog controller to switch between set lists.

Choose to play as your favorite Wildcat.
•Choose to play as your favorite Wildcat or use a custom character from the
Create a Wildcat feature (see page 11).
PERSONALITY TEST
Which Wildcat do you have the most in common with? Take a personality test to find out!
New tests will be unlocked as you move through the game.
Create A Wildcat
Choose the name and gender of your character and pick from lots of options for hair, face,
clothes and shoes to create your own unique Wildcat.
•Select Create a Wildcat from the One Player or Two Player menu.
CHOOSE YOUR WILDCAT
Select from your favorite High School Musical characters and customize their
hair, clothes and shoes to create exciting looks for them in the game.
East High Yearbook
Use the ∫ arrow and ñ arrow on the dance pad during the
during the Personality Test to highlight your answer. Press the
X button to select.
Browse the East High Yearbook to view Student Records and
Song Stats for your personal profile. Press ∫ arrow
and ñ arrow on the dance pad or DUALSHOCK®2
analog controller from the yearbook contents to
view unlocked yearbook photos.
STUDENT RECORD
Check out Student Record to see your Total Score and Play Time, School
Credits, Super Star Activated, and Dance Cues Hit.
SONG STATS
Song Stats keeps track of Times Played, Dance Accuracy, High Score and Highest
Combo for Sophomore, Junior and Senior Level for all the songs.

Manage Profile
Create a new profile, save your current game or load a saved game.
• Manage your profile in One Player and Two Player game modes.
Add to your profile by adding your own dancers in Create a Wildcat.

DOUBLE CUES
When two pink dance cues move simultaneously in opposite directions toward the edge
of the Dance Ring, step in both directions just as the dance cues overlap the Dance Ring!
If you are using a DUALSHOCK®2 analog controller, use the µ, ≤, ∫, ñ
directional buttons for one dance cue, and the Z, X, C, V buttons for the
other dance cue. If you are using a dance pad, hop so that you step on the two
corresponding arrows.
Be a star! Follow along with simple tutorials to find out how to follow the dance cues and
do special moves!
BASIC
If you are using a DUALSHOCK®2 analog controller, use the µ, ≤, ∫, ñ
directional buttons and Z, X, C, V buttons to control the game.
If you are using a dance pad, make sure there is plenty of open space to dance!
The Dance Ring appears as a set of four blue bumpers at the top, bottom, left, and right
of the screen. Each bumper corresponds to one of the directional buttons on the
DUALSHOCK®2 analog controller or the arrows on the dance pad.
DANCE CUES
Get ready as green and purple dance cues appear in the center of the blue Dance Ring,
moving toward the edges of the Dance Ring. Use the DUALSHOCK®2 analog controller
or the dance pad to step in the correct direction just as the dance cues overlap with the
Dance Ring.

HOLD CUES
Hold it! When longer dance cues appear, step in the direction
shown just as the cue begins to overlap the Dance Ring. To
get a perfect strike, hold the step still while the dance cue
moves across the Dance Ring.

Two Player
SUPER STAR
You can be a Super Star! Keep earning points to build up your Star Meter at the bottom
center of the Dance Ring. Press the å and ∂ buttons or the ß and ƒ
buttons simultaneously on the DUALSHOCK®2 analog controller or step on the Z
and X buttons simultaneously on your dance pad to fill your meter. As soon as the Star
Meter is full to see fireworks and new cue colors and other special effects in Super Star
mode.
•Every step in Super Star mode earns double points!
• Activate Super Star mode every chance you get.
You might find a special surprise!
It’s fun to dance together! Compete against a friend in a Dance-Off or perform together in
a Dance Duo.
Dance-Off
Play against a friend in a dance competition for the highest score. In Dance-Off mode,
player one follows orange dance cues and player two dances to purple dance cues. Both
players dance together to the gold dance cues.
GRADE
Prove that you are worthy of being called a Wildcat! Ms. Darbus will hand out your Report
Card at the end of each song. Try your hardest to live up to her high standards!
Each perfect strike on the Dance Ring adds to your score.
Consecutive steps add to your score multiplier, allowing you to score points even more quickly.

Partner with a friend to form a Dance Duo! Work together to get a high score!
• Both players follow the dance cues on-screen.

BASIC
If you are using DUALSHOCK®2 analog controllers, use the µ, ≤, ∫, ñ

EARN BLOCKER
Stay in rhythm and keep earning points to fill your Blocker Meter.
Once it’s completely full, press the å and ∂ buttons or
the ß and ƒ simultaneously on the DUALSHOCK®2
analog controller or step on the Z and X buttons
simultaneously on your dance pad to trigger your Blocker and
freeze the other player. Keep dancing and earning points while
your opponent struggles to shake free!
Refer to page 12 to learn how to manage your profile.
Choose Your Wildcat
Select from your favorite High School Musical characters and customize their hair, clothes
and shoes to create exciting looks for them in the game.
Options
From the Options menu you can adjust Music and SFX Volume and
change Auto Save and Lag Offset settings.
STOMP OUT BLOCKER
Stomp it out! If you’ve been blocked by your opponent, press or step
rapidly in any two different directions until you are free and continue
dancing to earn points.
