Serial Adapter
Cards
Note: Travelport recommends customers use SIIG CyberSerial Plus Cards. Specifically SIIG models JJ-P01012-S6 (single port) or JJ-P20212-S6 (dual port) cards.
These are models that we and customers have had success with in testing and installation. They work with Windows 7, 32 or 64 bit and are back-word compatible to previous Windows Operating
Systems (Vista, Windows XP and Server 2003).
Although there are others that do work, these are the ones we have tested and seem to perform well. These models come in PCI and PCI Express, which refers to the interface slot or socket type on the motherboard of your pc that the card plugs into. You will need to determine which type of slots are available on your pc before ordering a card.
The dual port SIIG CyberSerial PCI card is pictured below.
After completing the manufacturers’ card and CD driver installation, go to Windows Device
Manager to configure the new ports. Follow the directions below.
Note which COM ports are assigned for the card. You will need this information when configuring
HPM. Double click the first CyberSerial port you see listed.
Select the Settings tab and configure as below. 9600, 8, None, 1, Hardware.
Select the FIFOs tab and configure as below and click OK.
Repeat these steps for all CyberSerial ports. Continue your installation of Travelport/Worldspan
GDS printers by configuring HPM (Host Print Manager).
