One FAST Charger (OFC-817) is an accessory for the FT-817(ND) and the OPP-817+. The OFC-817 provides a means to rapidly charge the 2700 mAh W4RT One Plug Power Plus (OPP-817+) in about 2¾ hours! The OFC-817 can also be used to charge other 9.6 VDC NiMH battery packs having a capacity > 1200 mAh. Furthermore, the

OFC-817 can be used to charge the MEGA-817 Battery having a capacity of 10,000 mAh. Charge time in this case will be about 10 hours.

Please READ the following BEFORE USING your OFC-817.

1. The charger provides 1000 mAh constant current fast charge rate.

2. It is strongly recommended that you always allow the battery to rest for 30 minutes after use before you begin charging.

3. It is strongly recommended that you do not attempt to recharge the OPP-817+ if the voltage is greater than 9.6 VDC.

4. The charger provides automatic change over to trickle charge. The red LED indicates fast charge operation and the green LED indicates trickle charge operation

5. It is recommended that the battery be left on trickle for 30 minutes after full charge is obtained.

6. Operation of the charger using is straightforward. First, plug the OPP-817 FAST Charge Cable into the OPP-817 or OPP-817+ FAST Charge Jack. Next, plug the AC Wall Adapter transformer into a wall socket (120 VAC, 60 Hz). NOTE: An AC Wall Adapter is NOT supplied for export sales.

WARNINGS

• Do not attempt to recharge a fully charged battery. OFC-817 will NOT operate correctly and can cause damage.

• Do not attempt to recharge a partially discharged battery unless the voltage is less than about 9.2

VDC (see the FT-817(ND)’s voltage display as described in your FT-817(ND) User Manual).

• Do not attempt to charge batteries other than 9.6 VDC NiMH (with capacity of at least 1200 mAh).

WARRANTY: One FAST Charger is warranted for a period of six months from the date of purchase to be free of electrical defects in materials and workmanship. If the

One FAST Charger is determined to be defective, the defective item(s) will be repaired or replaced, at the sole option of W4RT Electronics, provided that the purchaser returns said item(s), postage prepaid, with proof of purchase to W4RT Electronics, ATTN: Technical Support, 3077-K Leeman Ferry Rd, Huntsville, AL 35801. Include a description of the problem, daytime phone number, email address, and return mailing information. Any modification to the One FAST Charger by purchaser voids the warranty. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Any damage to the One FAST Charger due to the installation method or technique used by purchaser is the sole responsibility of purchaser and W4RT Electronics has no liability whatsoever.
