TROUBLESHOOTING

No blue LED

Only the blue LED is on.

The detection LED remains green.

The detection LED remains red.

The orange LED is fl ashing and the detection LEDs are red.

There is no power.

The polarity of the power supply is inverted.

The test input is not connected.

The detection fi eld is too small or deactivated.

The object size is too small.

Someone or something is in the detection fi eld.

The fi eld is touching the fl oor, the wall or the door, which leads to detection.

No background (reference point) is found.

The sensor is masked.

1

1

Check cable and connection.

Check the polarity of the power supply.

1 Check wiring.

The BLUE and BLUE/WHITE wires have to be connected to the test input or the power supply.

1

2

1

Check the size of the fi elds.

Launch a teach-in.

Decrease the min. object size.

1 Step out of the fi eld and/or remove the any object(s) from the fi eld.

1

1

2

2

3

Activate the 3 red beams and check if the position of the sensor is correct.

If not, adjust the hex screws.

Verify the fi eld size.

Launch a teach-in.

3

Check the position of the sensor.

Check the mounting side setting.

If there is no background, set the mounting side to value 3 to 5.

Launch a new teach-in.

1 Verify and clean the front screens with a clean, damp cloth.

1

2

Check the power supply voltage.

Cycle the power.

The orange LED is on.

Both detection LEDs go orange.

The power supply voltage is exceeding the acceptable limits or is unstable.

The sensor exceeds its temperature limits.

Internal error

1 Verify the outside temperature where the sensor is installed. If needed, protect the sensor from sunlight using a cover.

1 Wait a few seconds.

If the LED remains ON, cycle the power supply.

If the LED turns on again, replace the sensor.

The sensor does not respond to the remote control.

30 minutes after last use of the remote control, the sensor locks the access to the remote control session.

The batteries in the remote control are not installed properly or dead.

Improper remote control orientation.

1

1

Cycle the power.

The remote control session will then be accessible for another 30 minutes.

Verify or replace the batteries.

1 Point the remote control towards the sensor, but with a slight angle. The RC should not be pointed in a right angle in front of the sensor.

A refl ective object is in close proximity to the sensor.

The sensor does not unlock.

Monitoring wires not connect

You have to enter an access code or the wrong code was entered.

1 Avoid highly refl ective material in proximity to the sensor.

1 Connect the BLUE and BLUE/WHITE wires to the power supply.

1

Cycle the power.

No code is required to unlock during the fi rst minute after powering.

MOUNTING

Use the adhesive mounting template to position the sensor correctly. The grey area indicates the detection range.

4

Position the bracket and fasten the 4 screws fi rmly in order to avoid vibrations.

7

2

Open the protection cover, plug the connector and position the cable in the channel.

Close the protection cover and fasten it fi rmly. NOTE: Factory warranty voided if protection cover is not used!

8

3

Drill 4 holes as indicated on the mounting template. Drill a hole

(1/2 in minimum) for the cable if possible.

Pass the cable +/- 4 inches though the cable opening. If drilling an opening is not possible, use the cable conduits on the back side of the bracket.

5 6

Position the housing on the bracket.

4 of 12

Turn the sensor until the two triangles are face to face.

OPTIONAL FIELD CONFIGURATIONS

Make sure the white and green wires are connected to the corresponding inputs before you choose one of the following two confi gurations.

OPTIONAL FIELD DETECTION

(optional fi eld only, Curtains A-D, Relay 1)

Confi gure an optional detection fi eld if desired.

1 After setting the mounting side, the safety and the optional fi eld will have the same dimensions.

2

Adjust the size of the optional fi eld by remote control.

3

Change the output redirection if needed.

VIRTUAL PUSH BUTTON

Install 1 or 2 virtual push buttons as activation zone(s) to open the door manually.

NOTE: Always be sure the Opening Field (Curtain D,

Relay 1) is defi ned slightly wider and/or higher than the position of the Virtual Push Button.

1

2

Apply the virtual push button sticker(s)

within the opening fi eld. Adjust the fi eld size large enough to accomodate the virtual push button.

Launch a teach-in to confi gure the detection zone(s). Launch a new teach-in each time the sensor position is changed or new objects are added to or changed in the detection zone.

ATTENTION! This teach-in is different from the safety fi eld teach-in.

When the red LED fl ashes very slowly after 3 seconds, hold your hand in front of the sticker to learn the detection zone. The green LED fl ashes 3x to confi rm the selection.

When the red LED fl ashes again, learn a second

POSITIONING

1

Unlock the sensor and activate the visible laser beams.

The visible laser beams indicate the approximate postion of the inner most curtain (A) and the angle of the detection fi eld.

The visible laser beams will remain active for 15 minutes or can be turned off the same way they were activated.

2 3

Adjust the lateral position of the detection fi eld.

Adjust the tilt angle of the detection fi eld with the 3mm hex key.

CAT 2

CAUTION!

The distance between the inner curtains of the 2 sensors must notexceed 7 7/8 in.

Lock the position of the mounting bracket to avoid malfunctioning in case of extreme vibrations.

MOUNTING SIDE

Select the corresponding mounting side.

Stay outside of the detection fi eld to avoid disturbances.

The sensor learns its environment and automatically determines the detection fi eld(s).

Both RED LEDs fl ash slowly and the 3 visible laser beams automatically light up for 30 seconds.

CAT 2 left right

WITH BACKGROUND

The sensor memorizes the fl oor as a reference point and signals a fault when its orientation is changed.
