The rear of the subframe was lifted off the ground when the accessory was raised. Secure the rear of the subframe (item 1) in place with the pin (item 2) and lynch pin (item 3). NOTE: If the accessory is not available or the ground is too uneven, raise the rear of the subframe by inserting a pry bar in the hole (item 4) or use a car jack. For tractors 3016-3616-1526-1626-1633-1538-16351640 use hole A. For tractors 2538-2540-2545 use hole B A: FOR TRACTORS 3016-3616-1526-1626 B: FOR TRACTORS 1533 Lower the accessory to the ground without putting any pressure on the ground. Tighten firmly the four nuts (item 1, two on each side) that hold the front brackets (item 2) on the vehicle’s frame (item 3). C: FOR TRACTORS 2538-2638 16 ASSEMBLY IMPORTANT: Make sure to thread the hoses through the hook on the hydraulic hose support and the hook on the front hitch bracket as done previously with the hoses for the hydraulic lift system. IMPORTANT: Twists in the hydraulic hoses will wear them out prematurely. If the quick couplers are not well aligned, slightly loosen the fitting (item 3) in order to rotate the female quick coupler (item 4). Lubricate the threads with hydraulic fluid and tighten the joint at 25 lb. ft. ATTENTION: Over tightening is one of the greatest cause for oil leaks. Test the hydraulic controls in order to make sure that they coordinate with the movement of the accessory. If they do not match, reconnect the hoses in the right order. IMPORTANT: If manipulating the hydraulic commands do not create any movement, one hose from the hydraulic lift system is interchanged with one hose for the chute rotation. NOTE: Use a coloured tie wrap (not supplied) to identify the different hoses to simplify future installation. 17 OPERATION & MAINTENANCE CAUTION WARNING The subframe kit is to be used only to lift and operate the snowblower, blade or broom for the Mahindra tractors. TO PREVENT INJURIES: Stop the vehicle’s motor. Apply parking brake. Remove the ignition key. ACCESSORY OPERATION: Use the joystick for the loader to lift or lower the accessory. MAINTENANCE Check mounting bolts at frequent intervals for proper tightness in order to prevent costly repairs. Make sure your accessory is in safe working condition. Remove snow from the subframe after each use. IMPORTANT: *It is the user / or the person who does the installation’s responsibility to install the hoses in such a manner that they do not come into contact with any mobile elements of the vehicle (the wheels or the subframe), sharp edge, hot surface in all operating conditions if not, this could lead to damages. LUBRICATION Driveline; Every 16 hours of use and before storing at the end of the season. For 1526-1626-3016-3616 series tractor make sure that the hoses between the front support and the side support are long enough to follow the movements of the subframe. WARNING TO PREVENT INJURIES: Lower the accessory when the vehicle is parked. Temperature changes could change the hydraulic pressure, causing the accessory to drop unexpectedly, damaging the hydraulic components. Failure to do this could result in serious personal injury. WARNING TO PREVENT INJURIES: Never leave the driver seat without disengaging the accessory, stopping the engine, applying the parking brakes and removing the ignition key. Never operate on slopes of more than 10%. 18 DISMOUNTING & STORAGE SUBFRAME DISMOUNTING WARNING TO PREVENT INJURIES: Park the vehicle on a flat surface in a well ventilated area. Disengage the P.T. O. Apply parking brake. Wait until all moving parts have stopped before leaving the driver’s seat. Use wheel chocks. Lift the accessory and stop the engine Subframe without snowblower: 1. Remove the rear pin that unites the rear subframe to the rear hitch. 2. Put a block of wood under the lift arms. 3. Lower the lift arms on the block of wood. 4. Remove the front pin from the front hitch support. 6. Activate the hydraulic cylinder to lower the front part of the subframe. 7. Unplug the hydraulic hoses for the lift mechanism and remove from their supports. 8. Back up with the vehicle to free the subframe. The next step requires the vehicle’s hydraulic system. Be aware that the vehicle is still running. IMPORTANT: When there is an accessory installed on the vehicle, it is not recommended to use this method if there is not enough ground clearance to slide the subframe from underneath the vehicle. Subframe with snowblower: 1) Unplug the hydraulic hoses for the chute rotation and wrap them around the snowblower chute. 2) Raise the snowblower. 3) Remove the rear pin that unites the rear subframe to the rear hitch. 4) Lower the snowblower. ATTENTION: the rear part of the subframe will lower to the ground. 5) Remove the drive shaft from the mid PTO. NOTE: This step is important to avoid damages to the drive mechanism or to the vehicle. 6) Remove the rear hitch (optional). 7) Remove the front pin from the subframe. 8) Activate the hydraulic cylinder to lower the front part of the subframe. 9) Unplug the hydraulic hoses for the lift mechanism and remove from their supports. 10) Back up with the vehicle to free the subframe. WARNING TO PREVENT INJURIES: Park the vehicle on a flat surface in a well ventilated area. Disengage the P.T. O. Apply parking brake. Wait until all moving parts have stopped before leaving the driver’s seat. Use wheel chocks. Lift the accessory and stop the engine. ATTENTION: Always install the protective covers on the ends of the hydraulic hoses when the are disconnected. This is to prevent any pollutants from entering the vehicle's accessory’s hydraulic system. ATTENTION: Clean up all oil spills to prevent accidents. END OF SEASON STORAGE a) Clean snowblower and subframe thoroughly and repaint all parts from which paint has worn. b) List the replacement parts that will be needed for the next season. c) Store the snowblower and the subframe in a dry place. d) Follow the instructions in the Lubrication section. 19 TROUBLESHOOTING * Please refer to parts breakdown section for parts identification. PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSES Accessory raises or lowers too Dirt in the oil. slowly. CORRECTIVE ACTION Change the hydraulic oil. Damaged bushing Replace the bushing. 20 TORQUE SPECIFICATION TABLE GENERAL TORQUE SPECIFICATION TABLE USE THE FOLLOWING TORQUES WHEN SPECIAL TORQUES ARE NOT GIVEN NOTE: These values apply to fasteners as received from supplier, dry or when lubricated with normal oil.
