Repairing all wires apart from ground
Step 1‐
Inspect the board to make sure the damage is repairable, you will have to use your own discretion for this ‐ if you’re in doubt contact customer support or ask on the forums www.consolehouse.co.uk/support
Step 2‐
In this example the Green and Red LED wires are broken, you can use the same method for the Black
(Button) wire, White (R Common) and Blue (L Common).
Step 3‐
The correct method to fix this would be to clear out the holes and push the wires back through
(method used at manufacture) but this is unnecessary in this case and not recommended for you.
Add some solder to each of the corresponding pads you’re going to be fixing for each wire as shown in the image.

Step 4‐
Strip the broken wire(s) as shown in the image below.
TIP: lay the wire along towards the pad it’s going to be soldered to so you can cut and strip to the correct length.
Step 5‐
Position the wire on the correct pad and apply your soldering iron, repeat for all wires damaged.
Step 6‐
Check there are no shorts or damage to any of the wires, and you’re finished!

Repairing ground wires
Step 1‐
Inspect the board to make sure the damage is repairable, you will have to use your own discretion for this ‐ if you’re in doubt contact customer support or ask on the forums @ www.consolehouse.co.uk
Step 2‐
In this example, one of the Ground connections has broken. We only recommend doing this repair if you’re confident with a soldering iron. Note 3 wires have been removed purely to help in the show
how to the pad better for the guide you don’t need to remove the 3 wires.
Step 3‐
The ground connection is close to other wires and pads, as a precaution push the White and Blue wire through the strain‐relief hole to provide some slack – position these wires away from the pad we will be working on as shown in the image below.

Step 4‐
Carefully pull the broken wire so you have some access to work with. Using a pair of cutters, strip the wire as shown in the image below.
Step 5‐
Add a small amount of solder to the pad as shown in these images, don’t keep the soldering iron pressed on the pad for too long – this could result in damaging the other wires.
