High Temperature Vacuum Hose Replacement

WARNING:

BE SURE TO READ YOUR OWNER

S MANUAL BEFORE INSTALLING OR OPERATING YOUR STOVE

.

ALWAYS FOLLOW ALL CODES.

Be sure the stove is unplugged and cooled before performing any maintenance/component replacement.

NOTE: These instructions are also included on the service DVD that came with your unit.

Properly‐performing vacuum hoses and switches are crucial to proper stove performance and safety.  The  vacuum hose should be replaced if it starts to crack or is unable to form a tight seal with the vacuum stint.

The hose kit will arrive as one (1) five‐foot piece.

Depending on the stove model and year, cut the hose to the needed length, based on the size of the old  hose(s).  Take note of where each old hose connects, and which terminal on the vacuum switch it connects  to, before removing the old hose(s).  The kit will come with six clamps.  After the hose is cut to size, use a  pair of pliers to squeeze the ends of the clamp and slide it on one end of the hose.  Then, put the clamped  end on the proper terminal of the vacuum switch (based on where the old hose connected).  Slide the  other end onto the vacuum stint.  The position and number of switches will vary, based on the model and  year the stove was manufactured, but all hoses will be replaced in the same basic manner.  As always, call  us with any questions at (800) 245‐6489.

The switch in your stove may vary from the picture shown.

Each model uses a different length hose. To ensure you have the proper length needed for your stove, remove

the old hose, then measure the needed length based on

the piece you are replacing (adding an inch for good

measure).

See your owner’s manual and service DVD for your specific part number and for more information on  checking and replacing hoses and switches.

Call Technical Support at (800) 245‐6489 with any questions.
