Conversion instructions
Verify contents of kit are correct size, fuel type and elevation for your boiler. You must replace
all burner orifices with the correctly-sized conversion kit orifices. Failure to install orifices that
are correct size and fuel type will result in severe personal injury, death or substantial property
damage.
1. Remove access panel.
2. On gas manifold, mark location of main burner with
attached pilot assembly.
3. Remove main burner with attached pilot assembly
from manifold. Remove all remaining burners.
4. Remove and discard all main burner orifices in gas
manifold.
5. Apply a small amount of pipe dope to each of the
new (conversion kit) orifices and install in the manifold. Make sure the orifices are aligned correctly, not
cross-threaded in the manifold tappings.
2
Use only pipe dope compatible with
propane gas, even if boiler is to be
operated on natural gas. Failure to
comply could result in severe personal injury, death or substantial
property damage.
6. Reinstall main burner with attached pilot assembly
at location marked on gas manifold. Reinstall all
remaining burners.
When replacing burners, they must
be seated firmly in slots in rear
support with opening in burners
face up. Main burner orifice must
inject down center of burner. Failure
to properly seat burners will cause
severe personal injury, death or
substantial property damage.
7. Affix high altitude conversion label above boiler
rating label (with the words “certified by”).
8. Follow check-out procedure in the Boiler Manual.
