tasks. You can sing songs, interact with other people and animals,
solve puzzles and more.
Collect items throughout your
adventures to create new dresses.
Each new dress Giselle creates allows
her to sing a new song when she
wears it! Songs have different magical
effects throughout the game.
You can also use collected items to upgrade
your dresses, awarding Giselle more Health
and Energy.
Navigating
Giselle can leap, climb and swing her way through the game.

the +Control Pad ÈÍ. She can also jump from one wall and grab on
to another using the +Control Pad ÁË.

across a narrow ledge using the
+Control Pad ÁË.
Hand-Over-Hand—Giselle can traverse
ropes and power lines using a handover-hand style. Use the +Control Pad

Parallel Bars—Use parallel bars to
swing from one location to the next. Use the stylus to help Giselle
swing or fly through the air like a circus performer.

and down poles.
Songs
When you find a colorful song stage in
either Andalasia or New York, press the
X Button or tap the Song icon with your
stylus. Special symbols will be displayed
on the Touch Screen. Trace the symbols
with the stylus to sing a song.
If you trace all the symbols correctly,
your song will have its full effect on
the environment.

on water.
Yellow Dress—The yellow dress song is for cleaning. All
Giselle’s cleaning will go faster with this song and she
can clean objects that normally can’t be cleaned.
Song Types
Flower Dress—The song sung in the flower dress is a
Hi Tempo song. It causes Giselle and the world around
her to speed up.
10
Wedding Dress—The wedding dress song puts all
nearby characters in a sad mood. Time stops so you can
move past obstacles and enemies safely.
Pink Dress—The song that goes
with the pink dress puts all nearby
characters in a cheerful mood. You

to trigger various devices.
Purple Dress—The purple dress gives Giselle all of
Edward’s abilities so she can battle enemies who cross
her path.

Making and Enhancing Dresses
Use the items Giselle collects to make
and enhance dresses. You can also mix
items together to create new objects.
Go to the Dressmaker menu in
Giselle’s room. You can choose
Make a Dress or Combine Materials.
Make a Dress
When you select Make a Dress, you’ll choose the dress you want to
create or enhance. The required ingredients will be displayed on the
upper screen. If you have all the ingredients you need, you’ll see the
mixing barrel.
Use the stylus to mix your ingredients in the mixing barrel in
the direction the swirling arrow is pointing. Be on your toes, it
will change directions when you least expect it. Once the mixing
is complete, you’ll see the finished dress and you can wear it in
the game.
12
Combine Materials
When you select Combine Materials,
the Touch Screen displays a list of
your ingredients. Select two types of
ingredients and the quantity of each.
Next you’ll see the mixing barrel. Use
the stylus to mix the ingredients in the

through the game. She can call on
these animals to help her at any time.

action! Defeat enemies to continue your

slide it left, right, up and down and jab
as directed by your on-screen interface
in Battle mode.
Once the battle begins, the Battle icons will be displayed on the
Touch Screen. Before time runs out, perform the actions shown by
the Battle icons. How well you perform these actions determines the
power and accuracy of Edward’s sword blows.
Slow Motion Attack
Slow-motion attacks can be performed when Edward has enough
Energy in normal gameplay. If Edward’s Energy bar is full, press
the X Button to initiate a slow-motion attack. Touch one of the

invulnerable during slow-motion attacks. Once the Energy bar
is empty, the slow-motion attack is over.
