ServView II / III and ServView II Ultra
The ServView II / III and ServView II Ultra are rackmountable KVM trays that contain a keyboard, trackball, and the
thin-film transistor (TFT) display of a flat-panel monitor. On the ServView II (KVT120 series models), this is a
15” (38.1-cm) SVGA monitor that displays video at a maximum resolution and refresh rate of 1024 x 768 resolution at 75 Hz.
On the ServView II Ultra (KVT130 series models), this is a 17” (43.2-cm) multisync monitor that displays video at a maximum
resolution and refresh rate of 1280 x 1024 @ 75Hz. The KVT140A model is a 19” (48.26-cm) monitor that displays video at
a maximum resolution and refresh rate of 1280 x 1024 @ 75Hz. (In the rest of this document, we’ll use “ServView II”
to refer to both the ServView II, ServView II Ultra, and ServView III. There are sixteen models of the ServView II:

The KVT122A-R2, KVT130A-R2, and KVT140A are the basic tray that doesn’t include a ServSwitch.
The KVT122A-JP-R2 is the basic tray that doesn’t include a ServSwitch and has a Japanese keyboard.
The KVT123A-R2 and KVT131A-R2 include an 8 -port slimline regular ServSwitch (product code KV3108SA-R4).
The KVT124A-R2 and KVT132A-R2 include an 8-port slimline PC-only Matrix ServSwitch™ (SW742A-R3).
The KVT125A-R2 and KVT133A-R2 include an 8-port slimline ServSwitch™ Ultra (KV5008SA-R2).
The KVT126A-R2 and KVT134A-R2 include an 8-port slimline multi-platform Matrix ServSwitch (SW762A-R4).
The KVT110A is a keyboard and trackball only model.
The KVT115A is a 15” monitor only model.
The KVT117A is a 17” monitor only model.
The KVT119A is a 19” monitor only model.
The KVT122A-R2, KVT130A-R2, and KVT140A have three cables, one with an HD15 male video connector and
two with a 6-pin mini-DIN male connector (one for keyboard data and one for mouse data). These cables can be plugged
directly into the matching ports of a computer CPU.
The KVT123A-R2, KVT124A-R2, KVT125A-R2, KVT126A-R2, KVT131A-R2, KVT132A=R2, KVT133A-R2, and
KVT134A-R2 also have three cables. These cables can be plugged into the matching connectors on one end of an included
three-to-one User Cable. This cable has a single DB25 male connector at the other end that’s designed to be plugged into one
of the user ports on the included ServSwitch.
The KVT110A has two cables, both with a 6-pin mini-DIN male connector (one for keyboard data and one for mouse data).
These cables can be plugged into the keyboard and mouse ports of a computer CPU.
The KVT115A, KVT117A, and KVT119A, have one video cable with a HD15 male connector. This cable can be
plugged into the video port of a computer CPU.

SERVVIEW II / III AND SERVVIEW II ULTRA
At the time of this writing, your complete ServView II / III or ServView II Ultra package should include:
• The main tray assembly as ordered.
• A User Cable for connecting to one of the ServSwitch user ports. (Models that include a ServSwitch only.)
• An AC power-input cord for the ServView II’s TFT. All models that have integrated ServSwitches will also
include an AC power input cord for the switch.
• For the ServView II / III models that have integrated ServSwitches, a hardcopy manual for that type of
ServSwitch. (Only the specifications, descriptions, and instructions for the ServView product code listed
for your ServView II model on the front of this sheet will apply.)
• Ten 10/32” rackmounting screws and cage nuts. (Eight are required for assembly, two are extra.)
SERVVIEW II / III AND SERVVIEW II ULTRA
To mount the ServView II / III or ServView II Ultra in a 19” rack, take these steps:

Mount your CPU(s) in the rack, where your ServView II will be installed.
Remove the backing plate that’s attached to the rear of the ServView II by a pair of screws.
Unscrew the retention screws that hold the KVM tray shut against the front of the ServView II.
CAUTION
We recommend that two people work together to perform step 4.

Tilt the ServView II far enough sideways to get past the Cabinet’s rails, then maneuver it through
the Cabinet until its front and rear “mounting ears” are even with the Cabinet’s front and rear rails.
Straighten the ServView II back to level so that its front ears are flush against the front of the
Cabinet’s front rails and its rear ears are flush against the back of the Cabinet’s rear rails. Align the
upper and lower holes in the mounting ears (two in each ear – eight all together – not including the
middle hole in the front ears that’s designed for the retention screws) with an appropriate set of
holes in the Cabinet’s rails, then secure the ServView II to the rails using the included screws.
Locate the keyboard, mouse, and video cables that come out of the back of the ServView II tray.
Attach the connectors of these cables to the matching connectors on your computer CPU or (if your
ServView II includes an integrated ServSwitch) on the included User Cable that you’ll then plug into one
of the ServSwitch’s user ports.
Models with an integrated ServSwitch only: Plug the User Cable into one of the ServSwitch’s user
ports. Follow the directions in the ServSwitch manual for attaching CPUs to the switch. Run the
included power cord from the ServSwitch’s power inlet to a working AC outlet.
Run the included power cord from the ServView II’s power inlet to a working AC outlet. Turn on
the ServView II. Refer to the manual for the ServView II’s components for information about
configuring and operating them. (Note: power must be first applied to the ServSwitch, then the CPU’s)
Plug in and power up the CPU(s) attached to your ServView II.
