Frequently asked questions

The Happy Troller is easy to install. Simply locate the anti-cavitation plate on your motor or outdrive and mount the Troller on the underside or top as necessary. Use the provided bolts and washers to secure the Troller to the plate. Make sure to leave enough slack in the cord to permit full turn without accidental operation.

To use the Happy Troller, simply bring your boat to a full stop, place your motor in neutral, and pull the control cord. The troll plate will move down, and you can then shift to forward gear and slowly adjust the throttle for the desired trolling speed.

If you exceed the recommended engine RPM, the troll plate is designed to bend to prevent damage to the anti-cavitation plate.
