Cable Adapter Tether Kit • Installation Guide

The LockIt Cable Adapter Tether provides a simple method to link cables and adapters together to prevent them from being stolen or lost. To install the tether, follow these instructions and see the figures at right.

1. Thread one end of the nylon coated wire through a heat shrink wrap ( Ä ) and the metal loop sleeve ( about 2 inches (51 mm) of free wire.

2. Loop the free end of the wire around the first cable to be secured and thread the end of the wire back through the metal loop sleeve ( b ).

4. Crimp the metal loop sleeve with a pair of pliers to secure the wire in place ( d ).

5. Slide the wrap over the metal loop sleeve ( heat it to shrink it in place.
