Hunter SRC, SRC Plus, Pro-C, ICC, ACC ET System Owner's Manual

Below you will find brief information for ET System SRC, ET System SRC Plus, ET System Pro-C, ET System ICC, ET System ACC. The Hunter ET System connects to any Hunter SmartPort-equipped irrigation controller and allows an irrigation program to be created automatically, based on local climate conditions. The ET System uses sensors to determine the local “evapotranspiration” (ET) rate of turf and plants. Once installed, the ET-controlled zones are programmed from the ET Module, rather than the controller itself. The ET Module will display the new program data for the climate-based irrigation.

Frequently asked questions

The ET System uses sensors to measure solar radiation, air temperature, and relative humidity. This data is used to calculate the daily evapotranspiration (ET) rate, which represents the amount of water lost by plants due to local climatic conditions. The ET Module then uses this information to adjust irrigation run times to only replace the water that has been lost.

The ET System is compatible with Hunter SRC, SRC Plus, Pro-C, ICC, and ACC controllers with SmartPort technology.

The ET System setup process involves connecting the ET Sensor and ET Module to the controller, and then entering specific information about your irrigation system, including plant type, soil type, and sprinkler type.

It is recommended to clean the ET Sensor platform and sensors with a clean cloth every 30 days. The rain gauge should also be cleaned out every 30 days.
